  • THIS is my mini crustless quiche "recipe" but instead of the oven, I usuallly cook them in the electric pressure cooker. One egg per jar, a little milk and whatever quichie fillings you have kicking around. 8 minutes on high pressure with a 3 minute rest before you open. That's it.
    make them
    seriously, trust me
    the full recipe is on the blog at www.tracycooksinaustin.com, i'm on also instagram as tracyinaustin ...

    I have seen a lot of these videos and yours is far better than most, I think it has to do with you are a true cook and you know how to put a meal together, I don't go out and buy food from Star Bucks and other coffee shops anymore, I have watched several people go out and buy these from Star Bucks for 8 dollars a quiche, ( i seen one person buy 3 of these with a coffee and paid far too much )Now they have the sous vide machine and because that how you cook them people are excited by these paying enough for 2 other people to eat which is crazy to me when it's just eggs and cheese etc. I could make these and feed a family for the money i seen that guy paid for those three and coffee. I remember my uncle saying they are always looking for the stupid, lazy, and easily fooled people and they will always find them HOPEFULLY SMART PEOPLE WILL SEE YOUR VIDEO MAKE THESE ON A WEEKEND TO HAVE DURING THE BUSY WORK WEEK

      I LOVE the Starbucks egg bites, but they are less than 1 egg for 2, so it’s a rare treat. I make my own in my Instant pot. I use a baby food/muffin mold, but I’m getting into canning with my Instant Pot Max, so I have 4 and 8 ounce jars in hand. I’m going to try to make some in jars. Love this idea!

    That is so crafty! I was just thinking about how those jars are designed to be used for pressure canning. I've just got my InstantPot ultra and tried an egg dish without a waterbath that wasn't very successful. The recipe led me astray I think. Thank you for the tip on using the wide mouth jars for containers. i think I have some 8oz jars but i'm going to go get some 4oz when i get paid.

    Hey just watched this vid, it's great. I love canned potatoes too, but recently I been making new potatoes in my instant pot. Cup of water, bag of red baby potatoes 5 min hp, 5 min nr. Keep in the fridge for the week. Great for frying, or adding to casseroles. Hubby likes them sliced in half with a bit of butter on them, He calls them potato poppers lol.

    Worth watching! YOU are a Gem. Do you think I could freeze these in the mason jars as I am a batch cook who overeats when I don't portion out food? Also having food at a moments notice when company pops in is a real plus. Oh darn, I just bought a bunch of Corningware french white ramekins/ mug combos because they had lids when I could have saved all that money this way. Live and learn.

    You might want to turn it off at the 3 min natural release.

    One more thing, You are the first I've seen on You Tube who has not used foil. Please give me your take on this?

    • @TracyCooksinAustin
      @TracyCooksinAustin  4 года назад

      there's no reason, the only thing the foil does is keep a little water from dropping back on the quiches but the water doesn't drop till they are cooked so you can just tip any water off or dab lightly with a paper towel... I hate to futz so I am a tipper :) haha.

    Are you SURE those 4 ounce quilted jelly jars are WIDE MOUTHED? 0:24 minute mark. Just asking because I can only find those quilted 4 ounce jelly jars in regular mouthed.
