Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!

My wife and I have an instant pot and I have started doing most of the cooking in it. I made the enchilada soup this evening and I followed all of your instructions to the letter. It was simply scrumptious. I declared it to be the best in 5 counties. I’ll be making it again, thank you
My 14-year-old son found your Insta pot recipe for the enchilada soup made it for us his very first meal ever and it was absolutely wonderful thank you for your videos
LOVE the information on freezing. So many recipes don't tell you this. Great advantage for us single folk who wind up throwing a lot of stuff away. Wish your recipes would mention what pot size you are using and how to adjust to a smaller one. Thank you.
I am so new to instant pot I even found an instant pot inside my cabinet above my double frig. It's an instant pot duo 6qt. Thank you for all of you videos, and sharing your tips, and recipes. I am actually, kind of frustrated because when I looked up the in boxing for my viva. I did not receive a bunch of things that came with everyone's instant pot on youtube :( I never used a pressure cooker before, and so watching you do your recipes gives me courage to first start the water test... Thank you, for your calming voice as well.😊 I was surprised when you said Sacramento California because I was considering moving out there about 2 years ago. I just found that funny. If you have any more videos that you might suggest I watch or go to your blog site; Please, let me know. Thank You Again for everything. I hope you and your families are safe and Healthy 😷
I enjoying some chicken potato soup now. It's the best chicken soup I've ever made. I included some chopped celery for added flavor and a few more spices and herbs (thyme, marjoram, teragon, and bay leaf). Just like yours I ended up just using some tongs to shred the chicken in the pot. It's that tender. Total time from hitting start to letting the remaining pressure out was around an hour. I'm glad I got the silicone lid since the rest is now in the fridge.
I made the 7 can Taco soup recipe army daughter’s house last week, but used the vegan beef crumbles instead of the chicken. It was great, hearty and very satisfying. I want to do the beef stew next!
This actually made me feel like a pro because I came up with my own chicken soup wich is identical to yours except add a can of corn and some pepper. Although I use fresh carrots ect.. I like using chicken thighs though, swear they taste way better and between the natural stock and the water from the corn its like a stew. Love it. I freeze dry it for hiking.
I make the 7 can soup all the time but I do "real" chicken not can. I also use mild rotel in place of diced tomatoes. Put raw/frozen chicken in the slow cooker with all the other cans and it is amazing!
Great. Made the 7 can soup twice, but the second time I didn't have many of the ingredients on hand and I think the second soup came out better and richer. Here is what I did have on hand and used instead: 8 pure beef uncured hot dogs, cut in bite-size pieces. 1 can white cannellini beans, 1 can chick peas, 1 can corn, 1 can mixed vegetables (with liquid), 1 DOUBLE can of stewed tomatoes, 3 cups beef broth, 1 24 oz. container of beef bone broth, spices, flour. I didn't have enchilada sauce, so I looked up the recipe and it called for sauteing a little flour with spices and then adding tomato juice. I sauteed flour and spices and then just added the double can of stewed tomatoes which I was using anyway. Put in all the cans I had, looked up the recipe for taco seasoning and added all the spices individually. Used 8 qt. Ultra. Amazing taste.
I made my first chicken soup in my 3 qt. instant pot on Sunday. After watching some of your directions on cooking and it came out great. I was kind of nervous about using it, but with your directions it was easy to do. Thank you so much!!!
On the enchillada soup might I make the suggestion of putting the sour cream and heavy cream in bowls separately The reason I suggest this is because if you are going to freeze any of this, cream and sour cream don't freeze well.
Watched this video, made it to the end of the Chicken and Potato Soup, stopped and proceeded to fill up my foodie. It’s coming up to pressure right now. Thank you!!
I just made the 7 can tortilla soup...OMG...so so good... I put a little cheese on top with some fried tortilla chips...yum...love all your recipes and love love my instant pot!
Many people have food storage items on hand for emergencies; canned chicken might be one of those items, or a pantry item on hand in case you have to fix a meal in a hurry because of unexpected guests, etc. Food storage has to be rotated to keep useable. This is a good way to use, JMO. I love dollar carrot slices, so that’s what I’ll use.

I just found this channel after getting my instant pot for Christmas. You're a total lifesaver when it comes to figuring out how to work it! Also hello from the Modesto area! Were about 2hours south of you!

It was great meeting you. Because you raved so much about the Instant Pot I added it to my cart. We just got home so I had to watch a video of yours on it. Read the broth labels that you use as most of them contain MSG or a version of it which are neurotoxins. Companies know MSG is something people watch now, so look for other forms like autolyzed (autolyzed yeast extract, autolyzed protein, etc)

Glad I found this video again. I love the tortilla soup but I haven’t made it in a while so I wanted to double check the recipe.
It's worth taking the extra step of browning the beef first in the IP on saute mode.
I agree. Much better and looks more appetizing if the beef is seared first. No trouble because you do it in the IP on Saute with a tiny bit of oil.
I’ve always wondered about that. Does it only look different or does it taste different? It would be neat to do a blind taste test.
It develops and deepens the flavor, and makes all the difference! And as someone said above, the meat does look more appetizing that way. Agreed!
