As a baiken main, it took me about three pot matches before I resolved to never tether a potemkin ever again
And don't jump so damn much haha!
The best thing I ever learned was to stop pressing the up button unless it was TK Youzansen.
My favourite way to deal with a baiken tether on pot just mash 2p, it pulls me along with her, keeping me in range

honestly, it seems like the tether works better for all the other characters the it dose baiken. or maybe i've just seen too many videos like this...
@@RavenTheSensai its basically 50/50, if baiken tethers you and manages to do her combo out of it, you're fucked, but the same thing goes for the opposing character

@@RavenTheSensai other characters have crazy combos like this, but baiken is usually on the offensive with tether. She's plus on block during kabari tether and can 50/50 you after throw tether. Still might not be a good idea to tether some characters like pot, but in general tether puts you in advantage. She also does crazy damage too with tether.
HPB into HPB is *definitely* one of the fighting game combos of all time.

If I was the Baiken I would actually be hyped - this is one of the best ways to lose a game
it's cool the first few times, but as speaking as someone who has played a lot of games in, after a while you begin caring to much about points : P

idk if you caught this since you don't play, but this was only possible because she tethered herself to Pot. she very easily could have just not done that. the baiken player was probably kicking themself before pot even landed a hit because it's such an obvious mistake, baiken almost never wants to tether potemkin, especially when he has burst

As I said in another video I hold the dust button so hard until I see the Potemkin being kicked half screen away from me. Being said that I love how the Baiken new mechanic could work for and against her in lot of situations, this is some of those mechanics that adds something new and also a counterplay by itself, I tether only when I know for sure it was a Counter or I can combo from it because even trying mix ups on wake up I got already some really bad situations lol

And that's the ToD that Potemkin has if tethered against Baiken. Gold Burst, bait jump, HPB, kick, HPB and finish as desired.
