I Know that you can explain every tone or tecnique precisely and on point, but what makes this reaction very especial, was to be able to see
how deeply impressed you were from Emmas Performance also aß from the Song. I knew that this would Touch you very deep, cause I was also touched very deep from this Song and Performance.
A few days ago, when I saw your video of VOILA and recommended this Song dancing to the stars, I was wrong cause I wrote it was a New Song.
But meanwhile, I learnt, that the composer has written it already almost 20 years ago, when Emma Was not Born.
But He never published it in a great way. Seems to be, that this especial song has waited 20 years for the right interpret to perform it.
I think, maestro André Rieux have helped the Song with his arrangement (but this is not a Sure Information).

Hi, Emma had an operation on her tubes that go into her stomach before the concerts. It took longer than expected and was painful. She could have rested, but she went to rehearsals. There were 11 events in a row and all sold out. 12,500 people per event. This performance tops the 2024 performance with Voila. I'm excited.
I learnt this Information already from a comment of you which I saw in a other Chanel, guess it was Andre rieus Chanel. This makes the Performance even more impressive imo.
Comparing Emmas Level of this year 2024 with her even outstanding Level of 2023,when she was 15 years old, I guess this Young Lady even improved a little bit her top Level of last year.
Outstanding personality and so lovely.
For a 16 year old to be performing at this level is not normal, but then, there is little that is normal about Emma, is there? She is already excelling in every aspect her craft.
She is a vocal performance artist extraordinaire. Her grace and poise when on stage is off the charts. She is utterly fearless, and in complete control.
When she is performing, time seems to stand still. There is no awareness of anything but Emma on the stage performing musical magic with her voice.
She has, along with Maestro Rieu and the entire orchestra, created a masterpiece here. Shout out to the harpist who played magnificently.

After having been about 20 years on a shelf in the studio form Tjeerd Oosterhuis with no singer willing to take it on this song has find the ultimate vocalist to perform it, isn't it? And no question about it here: THIS IS LIVE performance, no tricks involved.... and Emma has performed it 12 times within 3 weeks. By the way: it was her own request to perform it and André Rieu agreed with that. Together with Emma he worked on it for many hours to make it fit for her (so she knew word for word what the meaning from the lyrics are) and his orchestra and this is what we get... Just hearing the words "It's good to be alive" out of her mouth, a girl who has so much daily challenges to sta alive since she was only 9 month old... That get's me. And those vocals: I am not an artist but to me you can only do it at this level when you are completely relaxed on stage. Emma says "Singing is my therapy", and when I see this? I believe her. On RUclips there are a lot of songs which she has performed since the age of about 12, even her own show... And don't let you fool about her length: Due to her disease Emma is very short, at 16 she has now reached about 150 centimeters. Last May she had to ask a stage-manager for a bench to stand on before starting her song (probably they simply had not thought of that detail), otherwise the audience could not see her... But her performance was not effected at all: she showed no signs of being disturbed by it. This is what André Rieu had to say about Emma in a very recent interview, after working a full year with her: "Emma is a pro, she really is, she knows what she wants and she is a kind person. Not a diva or so. And that's why I love it to work with her. Emma's mother is always backstage (she is on tour with us as well) to provide the extra care Emma needs. And school? Emma follows an on-line school and several members of the orchestra have stepped up to help her with it when needed. We are one big musical family".

Love your sincere and heart-felt reaction to Emma’s masterpiece! She is truly special and she is the master of conveying emotion and spiritual energy during her singing. She is at a high consciousness level which allows her to convey more energy in her voice than other singers. Very few people are at her consciousness level! Interestingly, Andre is also at a high consciousness level and he likely spotted the same in Emma during her first rehearsal. They are indeed two powerful people working together and the result is apparent. I hope she stays with him for a longer period of time. They are mutually beneficial to one another and they both have similar goals, namely bringing love and joy to the world.
Thank you reaction .Last Friday we went to the concert of Andre Rieu at Maastricht , right in front of the stage at about 35 meters distance. Just as Emma started singing, an emotional bomb exploded in the square with the song DANCING ON THE STARTS and afterwards VOILA which earned a standing ovation for several minutes. Her beautiful voice touches your soul with the support of the orchestra, an evening to remember for a livetime.
And now we are going to buy the tickets for the Christmas concert in December MECC Maastricht.

It's a fantastic performance. She's beautiful with a beautiful voice, stage presence is on another level. She's come so far. I knew she was a future star after seeing Voila and I'm one of millions that is following her career. Voila was spectacular, but this song I prefer so much. Maybe because I've watched the initial performance so many times. She is so humble and gracious. A true gift to the world

Can't have enough of this (new)song! It's so good.. I'm so proud of Emma (although I don't know her). I don't think about her illness, without it she still is 1 in a billion. Such a sweet young lady, very well mannered, loving soul. Her parents can be very proud (they probably are, duh). A couple of weeks ago I found out she also plays the violin, thats incredible!

I forget that she even has a health condition when I hear her sing. Tears just do not stop when she sings. I call her a Bard. Someone who just makes one FEEL what she is feeling, sharing her Soul, which not many singers do. It is singers who as soon as they start singing and then you are "Lost". Those I call Bards. Hi, Emma had a painful procedure on her tubes that go into her stomach before this event. This time it took longer than expected. But she wanted to perform again straight away because that would make her forget everything. By the way, there were 11 events with 12,500 people each. In May, at the World War II commemoration ceremony, Emma sang "Father", "Hero" and "You Raise Me Up" maybe you want to check them out. I can only recommend these performances to you. Enjoy yourself.

I enjoyed watching your reaction to this latest song from Emma, simply because I knew what was coming, and the effect it would have on you, and you didn't let me down, you responded with exactly the delight that I knew you would, Emma has that same effect on you as she does on me, her ability and strength is just stunning.
I'd love to be able to type a longer and more specific response, but a wrist in a splint after a mishap here makes that impossible, but I can share some earlier comments that will point you in the right direction, and help you explore the Emma phenomenon.
Emma can be off the pumps for a maximum of two hours a day, for the shows with Andre, she usually sings two songs, and the second song has changed several times over the year, even in Maastricht it's been different, and during the Christmas concerts last year, she did more, but with a break and costume change between them. I suspect that a 'big song' takes a lot out of her, and although she doesn't talk much about the limitations she experiences, we know that at times, she ends up using a wheelchair, more than 2 flights of stairs, carrying the equivalent of a boat anchor, the ever present feeding pumps, or even things like a long walk at an airport, they're too much, and it was very evident recently after a feeding tube replacement that didn't go according to plan, Emma was clearly feeling the cold at the rehearsal a couple of days later, she is still tiny when compared to her peers, and she doesn't have the reserves of energy that would be normal for her age, but as has been said, she is a warrior, she refuses to be defined by her disease, and fights every inch of the way, and when I hear her sing those incredible words, 'It's good to be alive', it gets to me, her determination and resilience, and the way she's so positive so much of the time, it would be so easy to be defeated by this awful condition, many have been, and have taken their own lives as a result, but she refuses to let it get the better of her, and on Sunday, in an Instagram post, she was very visible in front of the stage with her family dancing to the music of part of the concert, albeit her dad was carrying the bag with her pumps in it.
This song was written 20 years ago, before Emma was born, but it's been on the shelf, almost as if it were waiting for Emma, never performed by any other singer, and it very much suits both her and Andre with the orchestra, while she can and does sing pop, it's clear that the big orchestra as backing very much suits her singing style, and she's become even more powerful as a singer over the last year, those top notes, and for such length, I don't know how she does it, but she very much does, just sublime, and with the orchestra providing that incredible final section, it's classic Andre big climax, and Emma very much rises to the challenge.
The rest of my comments are not original, typing is a big challenge right now, but it's important to me to give Emma the support and encouragement she deserves.
Emma so beautifully did to you the same as she does to me, and millions more, it's one of the reasons why this song had reached nearly 3 million views since the release, and why it will probably go on to have more views than Voila, which is still climbing the numbers, now in excess of 62 million in less than 12 months, Emma's natural ability to reach so deep into her audience, to speak so wonderfully, and to deliver incredible songs like this one, they are the reason for her popularity.
Emma was honoured to be asked to perform as part of the annual commemoration events in May of this year to remember the huge number of lives lost liberating the Netherlands from German occupation in WWII, she sang at several events across the country, the most prominent being a duet with April Darby, singing ' When you believe',

This concert was in Amsterdam, in the presence of the Dutch Royal family, and a significant number of high ranking politicians, and she absolutely nailed the performance.
For me, her strongest performance of this series was in the Hague, a Demi Levato cover of a technically challening song, 'Father', and she absolutely excelled in this one, an incredible performance.

I love the way she ends it with a spoken, 'I guarantee', and that beautiful smile that says she absolutely meant it, and at the same time knew she's just nailed that performance, it happens a lot, that cute smile at the end of a significant performance, it was the same with Voila, she turned to Andre, arms wide, with a smile, no words, but it was clear what she meant, 'How was that?', and Andre's response said it all, one word, 'Fantatstic', the embrace and bringing her back for more of the standing ovation, a wonderful moment.

I hope this gives you a feel for where Emma has come from, and more importantly, where she's going, there is no doubt that as long as her health situation doesn't change, she will be making bigger and better waves for a long time to come, and it's clear that she is very happy and comfortable working with Andre and his orchestra at the moment, I am hoping that will continue beyond the end of the 2024 tour season, while it's also good that she can and does do other work outside of the significant demands of the world tour with Andre.
I will close with my normal appeal to everyone reading or listening to this channel, and also apologise that my recent comments are more repetitive than usual, I'm struggling with typing as a result of an injury that has one wrist in a splint, but Emma still deserves and needs as much support as possible, her situation hasn't changed since that first appearance with Andre last July, she is still tied to her two external feeding pumps for 22 hours a day, and I know from recent social media posts, she finds that hard to cope with at times, despite that she's loving the singing with Andre.
Emma deserves all the support she can be given, as her foundation works to help find better treatments, or even possibly a cure for this awful disease, her foundation is almost unique in terms of the work they are doing, there's been very little research into a devastating illness, the effects on the sufferers are huge.

Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease that has affected her from birth, and requires her to be tied to the pumps and feeding tubes since she was 9 MONTHS old, for 22 hours a day, hopefully, the work of her foundation will find a cure.
Please also be very careful, her increased visibility has resulted in significant numbers of bad actors creating fake accounts, and looking for money to fund 'special operations', or to get access to fan web sales or VIP event tickets on payment of a significant initial membership fee, they are ALL fake, the ONLY valid web site that supports Emma and others like her is the gastrostars site, and she NEVER makes private message appeals for donations or support, and NEVER sends messages asking you to log on to an external site to claim the wonderful ticket you've won by being a fan, they are all fake and fraudulent.
One of the main people in Gastrostars is a surgeon who has a lot of experience in dealing with gastroparesis, and she is not only a surgeon, but also suffers from the same disease herself, to the extent that as a result of her condition worsening, she's had to leave her role in the hospital, and she is now dedicated to the foundation, and working to help find possible new treatments, or even better the cure that will free people like Emma to live a more normal life, rather than be tied to the feeding pumps for so many hours every day.
It will be so good if the work of Emma's foundation can lead to a better treatment, or even a cure, which will free her to do more singing, and it may be people here who make that possible.

As i said in my comment on 'Voila', i ask you, almost beg you to react to some other songs of Emma. In particular her performance with orchestra of "Father" a cover from Demi Lovato. She sings it to the all the (American) Veterans (of world War II) and giving me a whole new meaning to this powerful song of Demi Lovato. The video (with the white dress) is my favorite , it gives meaning and see in the background the 'sound man' breaking from the start, but genuinely crying at the end. It means something to him as it did to me.
P.s. If you don't know the lyrics of Father, find them on the internet. Demi wrote a powerful song with strong lyrics. I love how Emma gives her version meaning.

I don't know why you think there are copyright issues on a private song given to Emma. Both Mr Oosterhuis and Andre are keen supporters and friends of Emma.
This video was copyright claimed just like “Voila” was until I disputed both of them. I recorded this last week and had to delay release while the copyright dispute was resolved.
