I'm currently trying to beat the gauntlet. I won't cheese any bosses other than Demon of Hatred, because that is just a bs fight and I already beat him once.
Had stopped playing sekiro for like 2 years. Had the urge to play it after Shadow of the Edtree and manage to complete the gauntlet on my first real try. Tysm man

for all the deflect enjoyers out there, the inner father fight was (at least for me) easier if you just kept being close to and attacking the owl and learning his attack patterns (i use the umbrella to deflect heavy hits or the hit after the firecracker attack)

I did the gauntlet normally and with no debuffs (which is already kinda cheesy). I mean I've completed the game 2 times charmless/demon bell, but I didn't want to do the gauntlet with debuffs. So I decided to play normal way (moral over victory XD). For sure I will return to Inner Father with debuffs one day.

Before I tried the gauntlets I beat Gen without any issuse and Lady butterfly so I thought the gauntlets would'nt be any problem but boy was I in for a proper beating 🤣 I just want the weapon art and the tengu skin. If I don't beat them I hope you'll post videos of them two gauntlets :)
😂 your just out of practice. But yeah you definitely want to do the fiest gauntlet. the sakura dance art you get is probably the best combat art in the game

Just keep running away till he walks casually. run up to him and attack him and if he dodges it, then you just need to dodge his next attack behind him and hit hit twice, take a second or less pause, then attack a 3rd time.. he usually evades your 3rd attack in that same way meaning you can just repeat this. if when you first run up to him and attack him when he's walking casually, and he doesn't do that dodge, then just run away. repeat till you get him in that loop again.
With this I will have all the skin, just need to finish the Gauntlet. Ngl, my second playthrough for Shura ending took me just about 10,12 hours compared to 100+ in my first. Then again I was just exploring and doing mini bosses before any main boss in my first playthrough
Nvm, I'm tired with this bullshit gauntlet. Atleast in other gauntlet it was way faster to reach the final boss for me but here both Emma and Isshin are annoying for me and when I finally reach the owl he pulls some bullshit like I can't even hit double mortal draw after the jump even in first phase
Damn bro. that sounds tough. you just gotta take a break, come back later, and you will play better. best thing to do is fight them individually in the reflection mode until you have all the techniques down. then take on the gauntlet. emma and isshin especially get really easy if you keep repeating these tricks.

My timing just didn't fit right for that dodge due to cloud gaming latency so I only did mortal draw when he did that sweep attack and attacking once after mikiri counter. For Emma I use the flame vent and Sakura dance😂😂. And for Isshin same tip from the video for second phase. (It took me 14,15 hours for this Gauntlet, more time than the actual second playthrough wtf)
How are you popping firecrackers so fast after ichimonji? I finish ichimonji and he always has enough time to pop his attack before I can use firecrackers, I’m literally spamming the button and using the same as you and it’s not fast enough
@@juicybossfights i use the same as you, turns out sometimes he’s just not very nice and throws out an attack faster than your animation can finish - I got it later though. Thanks for the guide!
before you dodge behind, try move a tiny amount to the right or backwards before you dodge left. it will make sure your even more behind him. After my attack, i sometimes just keep hold of back/right on my analogue and then dodge left before he hits
Is this only in ng i js bought the game like last week and I’m Alr at this part for the shura ending but I have to fight them back to back I beat Emma the first try but then I had to fight isshin and died and when I came back I had to fight Emma again and it’s js the same over and over
this is a gauntlet challenge that unlocks later. based on you're response to owl, you chose not to stay loyal to kuro i.e. bad ending. its pretty cool though.. but its half the game length. once you beat isshin, you can start ng+, but next time choose to stay loyal to kuro when owl asks and you will continue the 2nd half of the game. Ng+ might be even harder for you bcz you don't beat as many bosses in shura ending meaning your kinda under levelled lol good luck. (also to unlock this gauntlet challenge, you'll need to beat owl father and demon of hatred in ng+, keep note. owl father is missable)
just tried the shura gauntlet today after finishing 5 new games with all endings and when I got to DOH I noticed that there was no tower to climb. Did they remove it to prevent people cheating or what? This video is just one month old. I doubt they patched a five year old game this last month.
Nah, definitely not patched. I literally recorded this fresh last month. and yh, game was last updated 2 or 3 years ago. sometimes he breaks the tower. as soon as you start the battle, run to the left and check he doens't break the tower
@@juicybossfights Yeah, I already know what happened. I literally tried the Shura Gauntlet right after the first Genichiro fight. This means that resurrections weren't available and that strange tower-thing that prevented the cheese happened. I solved it progressing a bit in the story till Gyobu (also died one time to have resurrections available) Now everything is solved. Edit: Oh, maybe he destroyed the tower 😅 It is the most logical answer hahaha Me and my conspirations hahaha Good thing is that I learned how to do the first two phases thanks to that experience.
No. Tower is defo there. Maybe he broke the tower bcz he can do that. Just follow the path i took in the video. it traps him straight away without him going near that tower.

@@Bleedthefreak have you reached inner father once yet? I can't obviously undo my game progress but I remember that once you reached the inner boss at least once, they then appear in the reflection so you can practice.
@@Bleedthefreak yeah, just try to reach him once, then he'll be available to fight in the reflection mode for practice. You'll get the actual +1 Memory stat and skin when you actually complete the gauntlet.
I can't remember the exact number but basically, you can get max 14 attack power in 1 full playthrough. Unless you do the shura ending, where you can get max 9 because you get locked out of some bosses. So it depend if you kill every boss in every playthrough. you'll have to do the maths. also you can unlock gauntlet challenges after clearing each ending. There's an 'inner' boss at the end of 3 gauntlet challenges. so there's 3 extra attack power ups you can get here.
from what i remember, it has 2 requirements. 1. complete the shura ending, and 2. beat the demon of hatred. so the question is, did you beat the demon of hatred on the full game playthrough?
Not in game no. When I edit the video, I just increase the vibrance and brightness so it's more enjoyable to watch. the in game colour is just dull to me
first time on inner father vs first time on demon of hatred, i defo struggled more on demon. but now i know how to fight both, i might just have to agree with you
Sorry, any perfect dodge from enemy attack and land some attack back to enemy should not be considered as “cheese”… tbh, this game takes more effort and training to time the dodge properly and hit the enemy back after dodging…😅

which firecrackers are you using? i use long spark bcz its instant. the purple firecrackers have a delayed spark

U can't dodge isshin in the first phase
It's working fine to me. Try double tap dodge as well. Gotta be quick and dodge on time. Practice makes perfect.

are you charging it? don't hold the buttons, just do 2 standard hits with mortal draw (no charge) wait half a second and dodge behind him, repeat

It’s a bit hard to practice when you gotta go through 3 other bosses first every time lol
that's what reflection mode is for. fight them individually before you take on the gauntlet

yes. you have to fully charge it for the empowered mortal draw damage. doesnt work out
You are going to be jumping anyway right? So that means you would get the empowered version of you activate in air right?
