Yeah it feels more like fighting a real swordmaster, and the small contained arena and his simple clothing kind of gives it the vibe of a traditional duel
one thing I liked about the fire isshin fight is his side dodge and counter attack. I am disappointed that its not present in the sword saint fight having beaten sword saint 3 times before even fighting fire isshin, that dodge gave me so much trouble, but it was still very fun

He represents the legends told in Ashina about his unimaginable strength, even if some of them were exaggerated to boost the morale of Ashina. The black mortal blade brought this idea of a supernatural isshin to life. He is literally called Sword “Saint”, giving him a deific title isn’t just for show but actually represents what you’re supposed to be fighting. Whereas normal Isshin is just that, he’s just a human but he’s still an incredibly powerful swordsman even at his weakest.

"Regular" Isshin has since long peaked and faded, he's a the end of his rope, sick and dying. He can't rely on his strength, speed or stamina like he used to, so he fights with a style perfected to be as deadly and precise as possible, *without* a single wasted breath, movement, or effort. He waits for openings, he reacts to your behavior, he's eager to punish, because he can't just "force" your guard open like he used to. And then (and it's why I actually prefer sword saints) in phase 2 suddenly he can conjure fire out of nowhere and flood the map with it and TBH that annoys the hell out of me xD It's indeed still less "over the top" than SS's pistol / spear / sword combination, but I still find it super frustrating.

I've already reached platinum in this game, but watching how you find perfect combination of objects and stratigies to overcome every boss and stage keeps me willing to play again and again. Listen, in the entire RUclips there is one simple thing that seems impossible to find: one guy that play one run, with max level equipment, killing everybody as stealth as possibile, fighting boss straight (like you do) without any dumb trick, and making all the quests necessary to get the return final. Maybe, that guy could be you 🙏 Just think about it, and thanks for all your contents!

You make a lot of bosses look easy, the demo of hatred and the owl still look incredibly difficult, can't imagine how many attempts and hours you have in this game
It's so difficult to land the stomp on father owls sweep for me, since within the small time when I am airborne, I have to tap down and left just the right amount of time, and not just hold them else I land far off and don't get the stomp., I gave up halfway and resorted to flameventing lmao
Honestly, when I first picked up this game, I almost gave up. I went straight through hirata estate to lady butterfly with only 2 gourd uses and no prayer bead necklaces. I felt like I hit an unbeatable wall. I struggled for maybe 3 hours until all of a sudden something clicked. Ik what she was gonna do. I was deflecting everything, her posture bar was melting away and I hadn't even realized. I beat it in 2 days. I'm on my second playthrough and it pleases me to se my progression. I think I might go for the shura ending this time.
The Demon of Hatred fight is pure genius. Ongbal uses the umbrella to his favor not only to negate the fire damage (like most people would do), but also to build up posture and damage by *entering and deflecting the fire attacks on purpose* . The only exception would be the stomp, where he uses it to not get pushed back when deflecting, while using the Living Force follow up to ramp up the damage with impunity. A complete masterful execution. Well done Ongbal!

I got it today and struggled on Isshin too. I think first phase isn’t much of a problem but if you’re struggling with his fire attacks you can avoid them by going around him and attacking him right after, meaning you actually wanna keep him around the center of the field to give you enough space. For the one where he sets the floor on fire and rushes you with attacks use the Lotus umbrella to counterattack
On 6:11 I am using an umbrella at the moment, when the firecrackers explode and Owl cuts. So, if I use it, when he throws the firecrackers, then Owl misses his next cut and I won't be in the "splash zone"?
i was scolded by mom as it made too much noise while playing with mouse due to constant block . had to change block to q and attack to x it made the game much easier .
