Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

Best child roast: My friend and her 7yo daughter met up with her ex, the girl's father. He commented he'd just bought new sheets and towels for his new place. The daughter started slow clapping saying "congratulations, you're finally doing things on your own" while my friend quickly tried explaining she'd never said anything like that to their daughter 😂

Closest thing to a comeback to a child as a classroom aid: 5 year old student of mine asked if was pregnant like her mom because my "belly is big", I kinda just instinctively said "Yes twins and theirs names are Pizza and Lasagna" the sub that day backed me up too.

When I was 16 I was in a playground swing accident that involved me leaning my head back too far and dragging my forehead on the ground as I swung back. It left a decent wound on my forehead and this was around the time Harry Potter was “in.” One day my sister decides to tease me about it and asks if my forehead hurts when Voldemort is near, to which I said, “Yes, could you stand back a little.” She, to this day, can’t get over that moment. 😂

I had 5 kids (4 girls, 1 boy). I NEVER let them get away with trying to insult me without giving it right back to them... Now I have 3 grandkids and I still do it to them, while my oldest daughter laughs in the background while I'm doing it...
It may sound harsh, but it teaches them that it can be turned on them, how to take an insult and get over it, and don't start shit if you can't handle it...

My then 4yo got up from cuddles in-between me and her dad to go get something from her room. I scooched closer to him, she came back in and saw her space had been taken. She walked over to him, leaned over his ear, and calmly whispered "you are nothing" then walked out. We sat in silence for about three minutes before we bust out laughing. As a parent of an almost 13 year old, how you respond to your kids depends on the roast really.
If it makes you cry with laughter, I usually congratulate him for his wit, sometimes his dad and I roast him back if it's nothing serious but if it's too mean we call it out and talk about why it wasn't okay.

You definitely roast back! They smell weakness, especially in their early teens (girls at least), and once they know where your weakness is, you're done for. Also, I think it helps them learn to handle being roasted or even insulted outside the home. If they already have thick-ish skin and are good at quick comebacks, you don't really get your feelings hurt so easily.

I feel awful because my son is 7 and he got green all year, he had trouble his first year and this year he was doing so good and he said to the teacher that her belly was big, not even being mean, just an observation, you know kids just say what they think and don't realize it's even mean, and that B made him pull a card. Pulling cards are for when they're bad in class, not for when a kid accidentally hurts your freaking feelings. He's 7 and learned to talk way late, I wanted to say something but I was afraid she'd take it out on him the rest of the year so the last day I'm gonna be like "wow your stomach is huge!!!" Or something along those lines, maybe even a "omg all the kids have been talking about it but wow, didn't think it was that bad!l" I don't play around when it comes to my kids and I'm usually 90 pounds but gained 40 and a lot of it's in my stomach so I get how hurtful it could be but I don't care, I don't play around when it comes to my son. He made him feel bad so she's about to get her karma🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️😊

I may have missed one on here, but I don’t recall any parent promoting their kid to roast someone. Kids typically are 100% honest and when they “roast” us it is usually something that is very true.
I would say the ones in the wrong are the adults trying to curb a child’s creativity like the teacher telling a kid not to make funny faces whilst playing. That is when a kid is most free and creative and you insert yourself to tell them they are being creative wrong.
Other than that adults are worse when they lie to make people feel good instead of telling the truth. After all there is no such thing is brutal honesty. The truth can never be soft nor brutal, the truth can only be truth. However, lies however can be brutal and destructive.
So while I agree that if a child is in the wrong we should correct them, if they are telling something that is to be true, are they in the wrong? I think that is where we might be disagreeing.
