Hey guys, it's Charlotte Dobre here and in this video, we're going to be talking about some people who got served a slice of humble pie.
We all know that feeling of thinking we're better than someone else or that we're invincible, but sometimes life has a way of bringing us back down to reality. In this video, we'll be taking a look at some people who thought they were untouchable, but ended up getting a reality check that they weren't expecting.
From celebrities to regular people, these individuals got a slice of humble pie in a variety of ways. Some were caught in scandals, some had their egos shattered, and others faced setbacks that they never thought they would experience.
But the important thing is that they learned from their experiences and were able to grow as individuals. We'll be discussing some of the lessons that we can all learn from these stories and how we can avoid making the same mistakes that these individuals did.

that last one, the mother or whoever it was, deserved that 100%. my mom does that shit all the time to me and now that im 51, and i havent spoken to her in a year, ive had some time to look back at the things shes said, passive aggressively to me about my appearance and ive realized how much its affected my entire life and my self esteem.
Ya, me too. I haven’t seen my mother in 4 years( she is 93)… not speaking/listening to her has given me lots of time to reflect…..I too realize how much her nasty criticism over my 65 years impacted my career,my marriage,my family, my happiness
@@cindygunn4418 sad , i was at a place where i was good with her, then we had a falling out over some DUMB crap and i just stuck to my ground, i wasnt going to let her behave that way toward me anymore. with some separation (emotionally as i havent lived with her since i was 17) ive realized all that she did was so narcissistic and cruel and i know the decision i had to not have kids (mainly due to my inability to understand how to love myself , much less another human who depended on me to literally live) was in fact the right one.

That's how I feel too. My dad is the same way. He can insult someone like me all the time but I as his daughter can't insult him? It doesn't make sense. As a mom who has cooked a nice meal and spent an entire day making it only to have one of my kids say they don’t like it….or criticize it… I wouldn’t throw it out. I WILL and HAVE told them that they could eat a peanut butter sandwich or they can be hungry. 😂

I agree with the sentiment here, but taking a single unkind comment from A KID and basically throwing a tantrum (with financial repercussions, coz that cost time and money) doesn't seem to me like a healthy reaction.
I know, it's easy to judge an emotional situation as a bystander, and we ofc don't have all the context, and with that said, an example of a healthier yet still sassy alternative could be taking the whole damn turkey upstairs to feast on. It's still a radical boundary being set/communicates displeasure, and there isn't food being wasted.

I think paying the parking tickets as a gift is a good idea. My mom paid one of my utility bills for my birthday and I almost cried because I loved it so much. You know you’re a full blown adult when you’re relieved over someone paying a bill for you 😂

That's why parents need to include their children during the preparation and cooking process.. to teach them not just how to cook but how to be grateful for the food that's served!! 💪💪💪
And maybe bring them on a farm. Show them how hard the farmers work to grow food. My dad did that, and I am forever thankfull that he showed me real life.

This looks like something my ex-husband's daughter would want to do. Her favorite thing is insulting people, but they better not say anything negative about her or she'll go berserk! She's about 5 feet tall and 250 (at least).
When I was married to her dad, I was one of her favorite targets for her abusive language. I didn't care, because I'd rather she say crap to me instead of the horrible way she talked to her small children. I loved those kids, and I was shocked the first time I heard her scream at her 4 year old daughter, "I'm going to rip your head off and sh*t down your neck!". I told her off about it, but her excuse was that it's just a line from a movie so her kids don't mind! Okay... then why is she crying?
Once she realized it upset me to hear her cursing at her children, she did it more. What a sicko!
My husband believed that turkey was supposed to be dry & that was why everyone makes mashed potatoes & gravy with the turkey. So you can put the gravy on the turkey.
He believed that for 26 years, until our first Thanksgiving.
Before that he'd never had a moist turkey.

8:26 one time my dad tried making fried chicken, he had never cooked anything but eggs before. When I said, “eww” when I bit into it, he turned around and screamed, “YOU WILL EAT IT!” then I showed him the blood dripping from the bite I had just taken, completely raw inside. He basically did what that dad did and we got KFC that night.

The story, about the boy complaining about the mom cooking really upset my 14 year old son. He said, that boy doesn’t know how lucky he is. So many children out there, who don’t have a mommy or a daddy and sometimes those parents don’t cook.

The guy said "Steve Perry." That's the lead singer of Journey. He has an amazing voice, and I had a coworker who got to hang out with him in his hotel a while back, and he said he was just the kindest and most down-to-earth person. He is not dead, btw. He just beat throat cancer not long ago and wanted to reunite with the band.

I 100% support Thanksgiving Dad. I don't know what else went on during this day but Dad was already on edge. He had no more F's to give. The complaint about "dry turkey" put him over the edge. He didn't yell. He didn't raise his hand against his brat. His turkey was rejected so he simply tossed it outside and went to bed. He sent *himself* to bed without supper.
I'm no chef, but I tent the turkey with aluminium foil to protect it from too much direct heat and to keep the steam in a little bit.

What lovely parents . Paying off their daughters parking tickets for two years consecutive till the lesson sinks in . Also , the girls can sweeten the lesson with gravy , mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce .😊
Being 66, I’ve cooked many turkeys in my life, and they were never dry. I was told once to place a cup of water in the turkey to keep it moist. I listened to how to cook a turkey call in show. When this tip was mentioned, a person called stating that the cup melted in the turkey. The tip was to pour a cup of water into the turkey, but they misunderstood and placed a plastic measuring cup directly into the turkey. Should of used glass 😂😂.

My middle son made the best turkey I have ever had.
Moist, flavorful breast meat.
He wet brined it overnight, injected it, smoked it for several hours then air fried it. It was an after Thanksgiving dinner, his wife was at work and he took care of their 2 and 5 year old sons.
He also made multiple sides and had the 5 year old "help" with a few things. As all parents know when a 5 year old helps, it's more work for the parent.
He rocks!
The parents that pay the parking tickets: They have figured out that it's cheaper to pay the parking/traffic tickets than to pay for all the expenses when these two angels lose their licenses because of unpaid parking/traffic tickets! The fines on top of fines that have to be paid to the DMV to get back your driver's license from it being suspended, coupled with should they drive while their DLs are suspended, is unreal. All in all, the parents are most likely saving themselves thousands!
Not to mention if they have to pay for their car to get a boot taken off it or having their car towed from unpaid parking tickets… the latter adds up exponentially on a daily basis on top of the towing fee. 🤷🏼♀️

The last one is me with my grandma when she shames my sister for the way she dresses. My sister likes to wear spaghetti straps that show her midrift. Theres nothing wrong with it either but my grandmother tells her she needs to "put some clothes on" I finally humbled her by telling her she had no room to talk as a woman with 3 children by 3 fathers and none of them belonged to my grandfather.
Friendly advice; don't EVER try to take something from a monkey, even if it's technically yours. They can get "EVIL" real quick.... Stayed in Sri Lanka and the hotel owner had "monkey fruit" everywhere on the property so they wouldn't steal from the guests 😂

I had a monkey steal my towel in Thailand while I was cooling off in a waterfall. Fortunately the monkey lost interest and I got my towel back. 🥰

Animals will keep you on your toes! Years ago, my little pygmy goat pulled my cellphone out of my back pocket while I was repairing a chicken coop, and played keep-away for at least 15 minutes! He was so full of himself he dropped it when he taunted me with the sound he made that I think is how goats laugh. They stick their tongue out and blow raspberries. At least I got my phone back before he could break it!

As someone tired of making the holiday magic happen I 💯 feel turkey Dad’s reaction. I have to resort to strike threats to get help decorating the outside of the house for Christmas which I typically did alone in years past because it’s hubby’s busy season (working). If I got complaints from my barely helpful adult kids about my hard work I would have to fight the urge to light the house on fire 🔥 and spend Christmas with my mother out of town.

I learned at a young age that no one complains about my dad's cooking ... He made all BBQ and Turkey/Ham for holidays .. His turkey was dry ... never said it but discovered that if I used all the sauce and marshmallows off the Sweet Potatoes it was fixed lol ... I think I was around 15 when my dad noticed ... he asked " Why are you spooning all that on the top of your turkey " ... Quick thinking had me reply with " Because mom's sweet potatoes have a weird taste so I have to put your awesome turkey with it just so I can eat it " ... he laughed and my mom gave me a death stare :)

Omg, my family must be too nice. I was so stoked about making wedges and chicken breast tonight …. My Man was 30 mins late - so I THOUGHT I turned the oven off - apparently I set it to BROIL. He finally got home and I went to serve them dinner and my heart sank realizing how bad I fucked up 😂😂😂 luckily I put water in the chicken pan (so it was crispy on the outside but moist inside) and one of the twins is fine with half charred potatoes 😂 I drowned the rest of the potatoes in gravy and tossed some well made veggies on the side. They literally ate it all and asked for more…. 😂❤😂 it’s an embarrassing Mom fail - it magically worked out. I don’t know how. LOL

To prevent from having a dry turkey, bake it with the breast side down and a foil tent over it, when it's done, uncover it until the breast is brown, and turn it over if you want, to brown the other side. Works perfectly. Never over cook it then or it will start to dry it out. Use lots of butter and rosemary, inside and out, with the usual salt, pepper, and other seasonings you like. Enjoy 😊
Or before you bake it , inject it with Cajun butter you can buy all over meaty parts, never a dry turkey ever again,

Growing up, I remember finding out our neighbours (after the fact) chucked their turkey out onto their driveway, our dog brought it home and my mom panicked all night not knowing where it came from👍
My dad on mothers day one year accidentally had the grill on literal fire. Burgers and all else burnt and I must say that was the closest I've seen my dad to crying in a while, but none of us complained! They honestly weren't that bad, just a lil extra crispy on the outside. I could never imagine purposefully making my dad (or anyone for that matter) feel bad for food being "dry". That one hurt my heart
