The Most Underrated RC Plane (FMS Kingfisher 1400mm)

- The FMS Kingfisher is a perfect RC plane for beginners and will teach you how to fly high-wing models on the ground and on the water. It's got something for everyone. We replaced the servos with FMS metal geared servos just for longevity's sake - though the stock plastic servos are probably fine for anything you want to do.

My kingfisher is my all-time favorite in my collection!
Have you flown the Turbo timber evolution? I'm curious what you think about that in comparison to the Kingfisher I've been looking at that Kingfisher
Comes with floats AND ski's for snow. Too, the KF floats FIT eflite too.
Nice inverted tail dip to landing 👌 😎👍very fun stuff you guys are doing 😁👍
Yes, that looked 👍👍
Sweet plane guys!
Great video, and a really cool plane!
I like that it comes with floats and ski's, that is so cool
Awesome stuff as always Jon ..I have all e-flight planes right now but I have been looking more and more at some fms planes. 👍👍👍👍
Nice flight boys. Now we are all waiting for spring to come. Take care over there 😄😃
I just got an Aeroscout a couple weeks ago and im in love with this stuff, Im quite sure this will be my next plane. If I learn to fly half that good ill be happy, great flyin!
We had to learn to fly like this over time. If we can do it, you definitely can. It's a skill that comes with practice and patience. Join us on Discord and show off your flying! bit.ly/TBRCDiscord
Very Skilled Flying!
I seriously love my Turbo Timber Evo but the floatiness of the Kingfisher looks so dreamy
They're both awesome airframes - you can't really go wrong!
Always fun to watch you push them to the limit, Jon.
I'm in a toss up. Which do you prefer to fly, Kingfisher or the 1300 PA-18??
The Super Cub doesn't come with floats. The Kingfisher does. They both fly somewhat similar, but the Kingfisher is definitely more beginner-oriented and doesn't stall as easily.

👀
I am definitely going to purchase the kingfisher now
It's a solid choice! Consider buying via bit.ly/FMSKingfisher to help support the crazy stuff we do here.
I noticed that you are using 4S 2200 mah in the video. The spec for the plane is 3s 2200 mah. Did you make any mods to accomodate 4S? Motor, ESC, etc?
A 2200 pack slides right in. We replaced the ESC to use a 40 amp Avian lite for telemetry, otherwise the stock setup handles 4s no problem.
@@TwoBrosRC Is it much less capable on 3s?
Which part # for the APC 12x6 prop? Thanks!
It's running 11x7.
Great 👍 Content, but I was wondering if you could share which metal gear servo you use and what brand to replace the OEM installed servos…?
www.fmshobby.com/products/9g-digital-metal-gear-servo-positive?ref=2brosrc is what we used.
@@TwoBrosRC are they an upgrade to what is installed by OEM…? Or are the almost a one to one replacement, except for being metal geared…?
@@itzjoeylo4501 They're faster than the stock servos, have more torque, and are metal geared, meaning they're highly unlikely to strip under heavy acro loads.
@@TwoBrosRC thank you sir, and thank you for the quality content.
What do you think are the differences between this and the FMS PA-18 super cub, if you've had a chance to fly it? They both seem to fit the same niche.
Which Super Cub? The 1300mm? The Kingfisher feels like it flies a bit better, though it's nowhere near as nice looking. It's more planted feeling in the sky.
@@TwoBrosRC yep that's the one I'm comparing it to. I also agree on the looks, I think the blue and orange "lightning" pattern on the kingfisher makes it look like a kid's toy...
Is the plane 4s compatible? I have seen no body flying with 4s yet 😅
All of this was on 4 cells broh.
Which do you prefer....this King Fisher, or the timber Evo?
Timber for 3D flying, Kingfisher for less crazy stuff.
It looks a lot like the TTE but if you wanted a receiver like the TTE, this plane is definitely more expensive
Depends on the receiver and the setup you're flying.
Hi sir is this has a stabilizati0n
It comes with it out of the box.
This one or the FMS Maule? :)
Hard choice. Kingfisher is a little more capable of the kind of aerobatics we enjoy. Maule is a better bush plane.
So bizarre to see a float plane flown 3d. Can't say I enjoyed it.
OK.
