Microtech did the same with their SOCOM bravo. We’re super upfront, and even put some Chinese symbols in the box as a little upfront making fun of themselves too. Result: great Microtech design w top shelf Chinese manufacturing, and premium materials at an affordable price. Loved how they handled their business decision, and love how you handled yours. The consumer can decide which great product(s) they want to purchase. Personally, I love the USA made Microtech’s, and my Socom bravo is excellent too. I will be buying this…and the USA made pistol light when it comes. Good job guys. Full support. Smart, honest, business
Food for thought, what about selling this in a bundle with a single output high candela MCH? You could call it a patrol package for example, and that way people could use it as a One-Stop shop for lighting needs.
Just a couple of days ago I ordered a Streamlight of this size because I wanted the onboard charging port. I wear a Kitanica hoodie in the garage that has sleeve pen pockets that are perfect for a light of this size. I just ordered the Chicro.
Honestly I'd pay double to have it made in USA. One of the main reasons you have a loyal group of consoomers is because you make things here imo. Still bought one though. And your customer service is top notch.

BTW, I'm neither associated with Cloud Defensive, nor do I own any of their lights; I use the Streamlight Microstream USB as an "admin/edc" light, and was simply trying to compare feature pros & cons.
@Cloud Defensive A 5 lumen low setting along with the 350 and 35 would be appreciated for edc... Often map reading or up close tasks at 35 lumes is uncomfortable to the eyes or too bright while trying to remain discreet in certain situations. It would also allow you to stretch out the run time. 35 is perfect for most tasks but sometimes you just need less light, and without the ability to use common alkaline cells you may be in a situation that it may be beneficial to use less light to stretch out the run time. Regardless, I'll still be buying one, love your weapon lights. Stoked to see an edc offering at this price point from you guys, made in China or not. 👍👍
Make a small 14500 defensive light. 600-800 lumen 15000cd. 4.5 inches with an aggressive texture and strike bezel so you could also use it as a kubotan. I find these 18650 still a bit big for pocket carry
@Cloud Defensive Rember though, a light only has too much candela when it has recoil or the beam catches things on fire 😁 Make sure that pistol light can compete with the others that are pushing 54k to 69k candela
This looks like the Mateminco CSF03 but without the medium mode. The CSF03 has a better pocket clip but no usb-c. Are they made in the same factory? Also, the CSF03 can take AAA, is the Chicro dual fuel?

Great to hear! To flip the clip around you'll need to pop it off the rear of the light then move it to the front. It might be a little stiff removing it the first time.
How about a US made inbetween light? Like $120, 800 lumens or so and much less candela, slightly bigger than this but not quite the micro mch size. Could use a 18350 battery, but much smaller head with more spill, tons more battery life than the mch. I'd love to see that

I have 50$ Chinese lights that work better in below freezing temps. I gave both my mchs away because my modlites are much much better

People who are into the EDC game enough to know much about lights generally have a lot of expectations, especially when it comes to modes and UI. Nope, the market would totally support that price being USA made and 2-3 times the price. I mean look at microtech knives they have the tiny UTX-70 that us only good for daily EDC tasks but it's USA made and almost 300 bucks. There are also other USA made lights that are not tactical and cost in the hundreds that people are buying left and right. Even Surefire has the titan at 90-100 bucks USA made and they are selling. Yall could have done it... just didn't want too

Great question. The simple answer is we looked into it, and it couldn't be made here at a sustainable price. It was either not make the light at all, or have it manufactured to our specs overseas.
This light is not worth the price tag of $50, the emitter wasn’t even centered when I received mine better call over seas and check that quality control, very disappointed 😢.
I loathe the argument that since we own some things that are made in China, we should simply accept it and capitulate. Just because my phone is made in China doesn't mean I should just throw up my hands and stop buying American made products when I have the option to do so. I would buy an American made phone if it were an option. I bought a REIN not only because it's a premium light for my rifle, but because it is also American made. I could have purchased an Olight or some other CCP junk and saved a fortune. I chose American made because it means something. Yeah, I'm 5 months late finding this video but I'm sharing my thoughts anyway. At least you're honest and upfront about it, but I wouldn't have made the argument that just because our phone or whatever else is made in China, we should just accept it. For the mediocre performance and the fact that it's made in China, I wouldn't pay more $20 for it, IMO.
Hey quick update on the mch. It was in my car right next to my Olight mini warrior 2. Overnight it got cold. Which one do you think worked while being cold?…. It wasn’t the 219$ cloud with two settings. It was the Chinese light with multiple settings and modes and ui. The Olight clicked right on. I had to warm the cloud up before it would work. Which light do you think I’d depend my life on? Extremely disappointing.

It’d be amazing if you could have ultra low setting for when it’s dark Admin Light.
