Are you still a fan of the HC today? Is it still your favorite carry light? If both of these questions are answered in your other videos I do apologize. Thanks for your info!
Heat is why I returned by HC-DF and went back to carrying my first-gen non-DF MCH-HC. Simply uncomfortable to hold without wearing gloves if used in anything other than intermittent fashion, and I’m not wearing gloves around town. Cloud pushed the envelope a little bit too far with that head, I think.
I've got the original Micro EDC, Duty, and the new dual fuel programmable full size EDC. The Duty and DF EDC have the exact same led in them and the Duty is noticeably brighter and has more throw because of the the larger diameter head. I daily carry the Micro EDC and the Duty lives in my bag or truck. The DF EDC will probably be for sale soon. I just wish Cloud would have made the DF EDC with the warmer led from the original EDC MCH.
Any update on the flickering of the lights? I’m having the same problem with mine and I’m a cop and need to trust this light. I’m trying to send this light back right now and get a surefire edc2-dft
In terms of tint. As a male as well. Our eyes don't see bluer tint as well as more yellow. So 5k vs 4k. Our eyes will see more with the 4k vs the 5k spectrum of light. So while you may like 5k more. Your eyes will respond and see better with the 4k. Females don't have this. It's just a male thing. It has to do with the cones in our eyes.
Great review!! I have the previous generation HC version. After watching this video, I won’t be upgrading to the duty version as the additional performance doesn’t seem to justify the additional purchase. If I didn’t already have the HC in an EDC role I would EDC the duty.
Are yours still flickering after changing to a button top battery? I'm on the fence on getting one of these if there's problems because international customers are responsible for warranty shipping and claims.
Flickering and coming on randomly in programming mode. They sent me new tailcaps but that didnt stop the problem, however once i started using button tops in the lights it was fine@@glockpoppin
Cloud defensive sucks ass. Long story short I had a mch hc edc and mch duty. Every light flickered. It's a huge problem in their fb page group. 3 posts daily about their light flickering. Cloud kept sending out tail caps. That was just a bandaid to a bigger design flaw in their lights. 2 months later they would flicker again. Funny I was on a call clearing a house with 2 other officers. I had to stop and fart arohmd with the duty light to get it to stop flickering. Had to unscrew it take the battery out and fart around to get it to not flicker anymore. That was the last straw for me. I got all new tail caps and sold the lights off. That's whete I draw the line. Been a flashlight enthusiast for years and none of my other lights do this. Something to do with the battery not making full contact in the light there for the flicker. I believe the batteries are too short. They need to figure their crap out
I feel your pain mate. Unfortunately all three of mine did the exact same thing. I have moved on to malkoff and weltool and elzetta because cloud lost me as a customer. Literally your story has happened to thousands of people and it is not good enough for a company charging premium for their product. I hope they get it sorted
@@flashlightcrazy crazy man sad I liked the lights but the constant flickering is no deal for me. Especially while on duty at a call trying to clear a house in the dark.
I would actually buy the Edc version because of its 5000 tint and high medium and low mode selection, but I just don’t trust unprotected cells. I just wished you could used protected 18650s, I just don’t trust charging the unprotected 18650s for some reason

Thanks for the comment mate. Really love the info
I only have experience with the HC, it’s my favorite light as of now. Looking to buy a duty next!
Yeah the duty is a beast
Got the newest REIN and Duty. Both have been great so far. I know it’s a big boy but i EDC the Duty.

I got a refund mate. CS was atrocious for me
Love the Duty

This is what Australians resulted too after having their guns taken away
Great content!
Can the quality justify the price?
I mean compare with weltool.
No it cannot. Weltool is the best at that
Can these flashlight use protected battery cell?
Yes they can
Have these been malfunctioning at all?
Yes, two of them have
@@flashlightcrazy what kind of problems? And have they been fixed?

Yeah you can't mess around with that kind of serious scenarios@@subaruforester5062
What light do you use currently? I was looking ad CD but these malfunctions are making me lose trust in em. so which US made light do you prefer?
I use a Modlite PLHv2 or a Malkoff bodyguard v2 or a weltool T2 TAc@@Noducks4life
I can’t justify the extra 100-150 bucks against my Weltool t19 Weltool t2 tac and my Olight warrior xpro
I hear ya
Avoid commie lights if you can.

The Ui is something I prefer but mainly the lifetime warranty. But everyone has different preferences. Liked the HC so much I ordered a Duty.
