Ian Legend haha I don't know if you do play the piano, but if you do, don't give up on Beethoven or any sort of music. And if you don't play, it's never too late to learn if you want to xD
Rowan antkinson, messi, mohamed ali, bruce lee ...there are humen beings giftef with talent and grace ...they live in some kind of low that makes perfom at a level that we ..the rest can only dream about
Indeed. Not reading the whole question does seem to be an increasing problem. Of course, we're so inundated by data demanding our attention, well, I suppose it's to be expected. Especially on a fairly trivial topic like this one :)
i fall asleep watching and listening to classical pianists too...except when liberace plays classical.. Hios comedy doesnt need explaiining...i think :)
Yes, he's cleverly created a seamless "hybrid" out of two Beethoven sonatas here: brilliant! I never get tired of watching this, it's hilarious. One thing I'd like to know is: which versions of these performances are being used? I listened to a version of Glenn Gould playing the Pathetique Sonata, and it's much different from the way "Rowan" is playing it: much faster and with less expression (though still enjoyable).
i don't know if he actualy is a piano player but he nailed that piece. There;s this upcoming science music Semantics which gives meanings to the pieces. They try to find the story behind each piece.I think he is a master of that too!
This man is truly a genius. A degree in electrical engineering, but more than that, a comedian who knows how to reach everyone!
Wow, he really knows how both hands work for Beethoven No 8. Bravo
one of the world's best composers interpreted by one of the world's greatest comedians -PERFECTION
Atkinson doesn't cease to surprise people with his unique talents. It's always a pleasure watching him do whatever he does.
Yeah.Black Adder comes alive in our living rooms !
In my mind somewhere I believe he really creates the sounds with his fingers.
A genius actor
I'm never going to be able to play Beethoven's sonata pathetique with a straight face again
imstillwakingup I'm never going to be able to play Beethoven's sonata pathetique
Ian Legend haha I don't know if you do play the piano, but if you do, don't give up on Beethoven or any sort of music. And if you don't play, it's never too late to learn if you want to xD

Probably the best air piano ever to be played
2:45 I'll never listen to that in the same way again...
Oliver Clarke I always do the silly dance when I play that part lol
😂😂😂😂
It's a great reminder of why the piano is considered a percussion instrument :)
Rowan Atkinson is a comedy legend! His ability to make the whole world laugh without saying a single word is pure skill.
This is perfection, the music and his fingers are in perfect synchronization.
Kenda Area Computer Centre it's not perfect, but it is very very good. So it is perfect for comedy purposes at least.
Plot twist there is a invisible piano.
Ah, thank you. No wonder I didn't see it.
😂😂😂😂😂
I love this piece and watching Rowan Atkinson perform to it is just glorious.
talent, musicality, sensibility, incredible sense of rhythm and musical colours, humour and perfect coordination
The dying art of classical music humour. I wish there was more like this nowadays.
Check out Victor Borge. You must. He is classically trained, but uses it for comedy mostly
Check out the invisible drumming g. I think much funnier
The best is PDQ Bach.
Two Set Violin would like a word with you
I agree!
Pride, accolade, resentment, shock, revenge-- Atkinson finds them all and more in this rampant piece by Ludvig B.
never noticed before that he starts with the Pathetique then breaks into the 3rd movement of moonlight.
Yeah, also the Pathetique part is a half step higher than the original :D
The greatest show I've ever seen in my life
Him looking at the watch, then going super fast killed me. Awesome.
So, what instrument do you play?
Rowan Atkinson: Yes.
This is actually quite an accurate visual representation.
I've to admit, some of us look like that when we play piano
He is a legend
the last facial expression killed me
He is just SO SO very good - Beethoven will be enjoying this! Great magical performance.
he's a real good pianist :)
The part with the closed lid had me in stitches

Я не представляю какой алгоритм ютуба подобрал мне этот фрагмент. Край увлечения и таланта! 🎉😊😊
The genius of only noticing his watch at the right time.
This amazing man is the greatest genius of comic art. Bravissimo!

There's a difference between broad comedy and pure genius universal comedy.

Those see through pianos really can come in quite handy.
this man is a god of laughs and giggles
unbelievable
He is genius!
This reminds me of Bugs Bunny.
bugs bunny? wtf?
White gloves, white hands?
Bugs bunny also does a similar sketch
You know you made it when Rowan Atkinson makes a comedy sketch almost two hundred years after you died using your sonata.
I'd love to know who the actual pianist was. Great performance by both of them.
Beethoven. Sonate pathetique grave, Mondschein sonate no.3
+Yuurekk That is the composer plus the pieces. For the information of which thank you. But his question was who the actual performing pianist was.
Beethoven. Performed it just the other week at Madison Square Garden
beethoven is dead. So he can't do that
Indeed. Not reading the whole question does seem to be an increasing problem. Of course, we're so inundated by data demanding our attention, well, I suppose it's to be expected. Especially on a fairly trivial topic like this one :)
es un verdadero crack del humor

Es un genio me parto de risa
I fanboyed when I heard the first note I was like ''pATHETIQUE''
AND TTHEN THERE WAS MOONLIGHT SONATA AN I WAS LIEK ''I CAN PLAY THAT EEEE''
NOTICE ME SENPAI
Brilliant, however hugely one loves the piece!
Pure comic genius
I agree!
Oh, I am going to be late. Let's run with the piano, pleaseeeee!!!!
Assumingly he can play them very well for real, otherwise it would be next to impossible to do what he is doing.
How do the British say it? Jolly good!? 🤔...
This is what I call classic rock n' roll!
🤘🤤🤘
This is so funny when you know how to actually play this two pieces :D
i don't know if he actualy is a piano player but he nailed that piece. There;s this upcoming science music Semantics which gives meanings to the pieces. They try to find the story behind each piece.I think he is a master of that too!
A master of invisible instuments.
yes he is a genius!
3:13 this part hahahahhaa
Beethoven's pathetique in c minor, love it :D 3
too awesome *no comment*
Imagine this guy has a master degree in electrical engineering
Captain ET kkkkk. True.
Sometimes degree doesn't matter. My cousin got master degree in neuroscience but she work as a chef (because she love cooking).
Genius
That's one tall piano! It reaches chest level! :D
That's just a very low seat.
I can understand what Beethoven must be thinking from up there
Nah, I've played with him several times and he's all over the place.
Air piano at its best.
So was Beethoven, but that didn't stop him.
