What role do you guys enjoy, and what was your favorite tip? 👇🏼
Me & my duo work like this , I’m the Cannon and sails man , he’s the Wheel and repair and board guy
@MrWaffle69 Always gotta have coordination to do well 👍🏼 and when you really start optimizing that coordination you start winning all the time haha
Im a Fantastic Bucketer. And im Pretty good with Cannons. Not good with Steering tho. Im Ok on Repairs.
@@EvanFirecat Do you play with a teammate you can trust or no?
@Chor - Sea Of Thieves sometimes i have trustworthy Teamates but they're not allways on when i am. So i typically get destroyed. They put me up against Sweaty Doublegunners :(
to those whose sloop partner constantly boards at the wrong times without warning, I feel you.
Haha
And leaves you to fucking die trying to solo because they take their sweet ass time getting back to the boat.
Had a toxic "friend" who would do the opposite, handle the wheel horribly without saying anything blaming me for missing cannon shots while he consistently takes us out of range and calling for the dumbest boarding calls ever.
I was a noob so I didn't know what I was doing wrong, dropped him and haven't had any issues and no more drama 😎
Thank you🥺🥺🥺😌
Thank you, been months since I ever engaged on PvP because I refuse to play with that dude
Helm: many different jobs and extremely important things to do during combat to ensure success
Cannon: shoot bad guy
Essentially 🤣
Most can’t hit shots and those people need to be helms
@@anonymous-go1tq Or need more practice on cannons
I think of it like you're solo slooping jack sparrow tall tail 5 with jack on cannons. He does nothing but cannon and you do everything else
don't forget deathspin, snipe and get winning position
I have enough experience where this stuff just comes naturally to me but this is a reminder of just how much stuff is actually going on during a battle
For real! There's a lot of things to think about and do in battles!

There aren’t many people that do good videos of pvp tips and most of the time they just say usless thing. This video is really well done, great job mate
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Make sure to be subscribed for more videos like it in the future!
I agree ngl I’m trash and this helped alot
Insane guide. Everything was covered down to the last detail. Beautifully done. Only thing I'd say is on the main cannon part once you're in the neutral / winning position is to target their wheel and break it so that their helm can't keep angle. But you pretty much covered this when you said: **Once you break their mast shoot the helm raising the sail** Absolutely wonderfully made.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Did you learn some new things?
@@Chor-SeaOfThieves I already knew everything that was in the video. But it was a nice change of pace compared to some tutorial videos because you did step by step WHAT and WHY you do each thing you do depending on the situation. You broke down exactly what you should be doing, and what you should be doing if you CAN'T do what you should be doing. Way better than some people who just give you 1 or 2 strategies that get countered and now you don't know what to do. Excellent tutorial for players who need to know what they should be doing based on what the situation calls for.
I do this when I VOD review for some of the teams in LBH, and I find it to be a terrific way to explain things so that the players actually UNDERSTAND why they're doing something, rather than them just being told to do something but not understanding why they should be doing it.
@@kaijoi8938 that could’ve been shorter
@@Viinnce_ There's a reason they have gifs called: *KaiJoi is typing...*
100% you need to know what to always be doing. Because having your strategy too generalized will leave you unsure what to do in many situations.
My brain hurts, great video, literally all the information you need to dominate
🧠🤕 😂👍🏼
He could have included the damage reduction methods for the canoneer(not getting one-balled) and when to replenish your health
@@moritzmoritz1447if you see a ball coming towards you get off the cannon, and if you are missing health... Heal. Problem solved lmao. Called common sense 💀
Grateful for this video. As a cannoneer I appreciate the emphasis on priority number 1 being angle its so true. Nothing more frustrating than grabbing cannons, turning around and your helm just raced you to the cannon and left you with picking up all their tasks.
100%
Okay Mr cannoner stay on task then
One other reason why you should turn right at the start of a hourglass fight: on a sloop, the mast falls on the right side, which could block your aim while cannoning on the right side.
100% I thought about this while making the video but accidentally forgot to include it haha

@@Chor-SeaOfThieves Absolutely. I play casual but my kid is legitimately cracked in PvP, wins a LOT of solo sloop and 1v2s, but he couldn't figure out the best way to teach me lol
I needed strategic info for 2v2s, so now maybe I can actually start helping him in hourglass fights hahahha
Thanks again dude, excellent informative content.
For those who are new, this is a very good video to practice and with Safer Seas just days out these tactics will work really well against ghost ships as test dummies.
Unfortunatey chainshots are useless against NPC ships because their masts can't be broken.
a solid tutorial. As a sloop main helm this was a perfect lesson for newer helms/cannons
Thanks 😉👍🏼
Definitely I used to play (day 1) alot but have been crowded out my the new pvp but hopefully this'll help.
Its a great tutorial even for an experienced helm although I only ever heard angle before mast, pressure is far more useful than going directions, i can talk from experience, its not a deathloop if the looped ship doesnt die which was a very funny situation
dude i watched this video and immediately dropped a 4 sink streak, best of my career
Good stuff 🙌🏼
This is by far the best duo sloop fighting video I have ever seen. Really incredibly well made.👌
Thanks 👍🏼 hopefully you learned some things?

rarely do i go to the comments to compliment a video but this has earned it. fantastic editing, good information portrayed clearly, animations and pics are relevant and perfect at keeping the amount of information engaging, information is explained well enough that i am sure new players would understand. 1st person in a while to earn a sub from me after 1 video!

Nice job, man! A very complex tutorial about pvp and roles in a very compact and simple enough to understand video

Easily the best and most informative no nonsense video guide I’ve seen. Thanks. I needed this after struggling to get consistent wins
😉👍🏼 Hopefully it's helped you do so?
Yes. My duo partner watched it as well and we have been winning WAY more matches. I expect our win rate will improve even more with some more experience and practice. We did some brig and gally pvp as well and this guide works for larger ships just the same.
Again, thanks. I was really struggling with hourglass PVP but this brought it all together for me as the helm. No other YT guides layout step by step what you should be doing in each scenario like you have. I’ll be sure to share this video with people who need help.
@christianstahlberg3415 That's great, glad to hear this!
This is probably the best pvp video I could find. Great job!

I'll smash that sub. this is a really good video with helpful visuals. I'm a solo slooper on the regular and it's hard when you have a duo to trust them to learn their parts. it's also hard to kill the need to do everything when you're normally alone

This video is way better than all the other pvp videos I've seen before I just foubled my pvp knowledge in 20 min.
That's great to hear. Thanks :) you learn a lot?
Incredible video please do more of these for the other ship types! Has helped a lot with slooping
I'll more than likely make similar videos for the other boats! Make sure to be subscribed for those! :)
New most of this already but very detailed and very helpful video, really drilling some good stuff into my brain. Also, another reason to turn right at the start is because the first damage on the mast appears on the right side. If it gets clipped by a cannon ball from your left you can repair it more easily without the risk of being one-balled :)
Ye I should've included that the mast breaks on the right then left then middle. Surprised I didn't think about adding that fact!
this is really in depth and informative! I got my first pvp sink after utilising some of your tactics. when my mast went down before I tried to get it up and accepted it as a defeat if I stopped but the next time I rotated the sloop with theirs and managed to kill their cannon and get their mast down and repair mine! this is great you should release heaps more like this!! especially an in detail cannon guide and how to use the momentum from the ship to hit shots!!!
Glad to hear this video was a major help! I'll definitely be putting out more useful vids like it and as well already have some on my channel :)
literally the best sot pvp guide on whole youtube, amazing content man
Thanks! What helped you most?
In the loadout part, talk about the chaos and fire cannonballs. It's often great to have them in hand, using a quick shortcut to kick someone out of the ship. Helm shall have only chaos, and Cannoneer can have a mix of both. Fire, even harmless, can make an opponent panic.
In most cases if you are fighting a sloop I recommend not using firebombs. Because of how small the sloop is someone that is bilgeing will easily put out all the fire with little hassle. A cannonball is more effective because it helps actively sink the ship and make the bilge have to repair. In my opinion shooting fireballs from cannons is only useful against galleons. 👍🏼
This is the best and only needed guide for sea of thieves. I wished I stumbled on this long ago! What a masterpiece. You did the SOT community a great favor! Thanks man ❤
I appreciate it! You're welcome :) was the video able to teach you lots of new things?

Very informative. I haven't seen a better sot pvp tips video.

Glad to hear this and that you enjoyed! Thank you :) hopefully you learned some things?
First creator that I’ve seen respond to every content, crazy to see this before u blow up because this is a super useful guide. I’ve been PvP for a while so some of this stuff comes naturally but it’s still cool to see someone who puts in the effort to name and organize every move and counter move. Got to ask is the 69 streak fr bc I think that’s a record!!
Yep I figured it would be a cool idea to organize everything like this! And I believe the record is more like a 101 streak or something actually.
Thanks for the advice! Me and my friend keep trying to do fof, but we always get sunk while trying. Before this our strat was to sink as many times as needed to run them dry on cannonballs
Now you should be able to hold up better 😉
This was an amazing tip/ tutorial video! I’m not new to sea of thieves but honestly haven’t had the best luck in pvp recently
I really liked this guide and you gained a new subscriber! Very insightful, to the point and efficient!
Great, thanks! Were you able to learn some new things?
Bonus Tip here: its also good to turn to the right, because the mast of the sloop falls to the right if it does, so u still have better movement when turning right
100% I was thinking about including that when structuring the video but accidentally forgot to put it in the video haha. I included it in my solo sloop video after realizing though 🤣
very solid tutorial! my main helm crewmate sent me this to give me some tips for cannons and after putting it into practice we've won way more fights than before! thank you for this

Cannonneer: PUT HOLE IN ENEMY SHIP
Ye basically lol
The canoneer isn't the captain, so yes
@@HS09884 Its usualy the opposite on my ship😅
Don't forget, we canoneers are basically the boarders. Gotta keep the other dudes dead so all you have to do is keep the death spiral and use the cannons

Glad to hear that! Much thanks :) make sure you're subscribed for future videos like it! 😀
The try to fix the holes on the opposite side is an amazing piece of advice! Thanks 👍🏼
Of course! 👍🏼
Turning left is also good cause mast always break on right side first, so as a wheel you can repair it while hiding from cannon shots, and if the mast falls it will fall on right so it won't be annoying for your teammate to keep pressure !
Yep, for anyone reading this comment it breaks on the right then the left then the middle. I should've included this in the video!
im pretty sure the mast falls the same direction no matter what, dude.
@@snakeoflordran9573 He is talking about the repair locations. First shot puts a crack on the right, second on the left and 3rd will drop it but adds a break to the middle.
I'm the helm/bilge of my crew, my crewmate is much better than me at cannons. we met a little over a month ago and we were able to get my skelly curse, so I went from 20 to 108 in a little over a month. we're becoming more and more solid after each fights. we're also already really close friends. also, everywhere I lack in he doesn't, and everywhere he lacks in I don't. we form a really good crew.

👍🏼👍🏼 You learn some new things?
Great video! Very useful info.
I am primarily a cannoneer, and am probably among the better of the people I play with.
I'd love to see one like this for Brig and Galleon!
in my opinion your cannoneer should apply pressure and then try to board at the right time then u take over the boat completely cause people who solo sloop know it’s possible to do everything on that ship by yourself and it would help keep the other ship from repairing and such while you can keep applying pressure on the ship
It's best to board only when the enemy is fleeing or when they are immobilized and hurting very bad. Because if you try to board at any other times you'll basically always end up getting ladder camped and killed and then will be a player down.
@@Chor-SeaOfThieves totally right, I’ve been struggling with my teammate to get into a winning position so we resulted to rampant boarding. I get killed on the ladder almost half the time.
@Liam O'Bryan They also finally just fixed the silent board bug apparently. So now you're even more likely to end up getting ladder camped 🤷🏼♂️
Step 1: Play for 8 hours every day
Lol
So true😂😂
I really like this video. I used the one of turning your boat to the right immediately when coming out of the water and putting pressure on the enemy with the cannons (solo sloop) and so far, did at least 2 2-0 matches and a 3-0 win streak. Thank you!
