"These characters mean nothing to this version of Peter Parker" is the point though. Pete is the kind of person who will go out of his way to save people who he just met today who were literally trying to kill him, because they're people to him, and everyone matters.
I thought that was a weird thing to say too.. Those Villains meant nothing to the Spider man of their respective stories either, until they did. They each represented a new threat on the horizon, as most villains do.
They werent introduced as Villains, they were People who knew spiderman was peter and they were dragged into this world due to Peter parker's selfishness to make others forget and then tampering with the spell. So I guess after learning from doctor strange about this, that was the time he felt responsible and they were all not showing any threat. They all agreed to go back home and get fixed. They were human beings and that is what heroes do. He did it alone at first but couldnt control them. After losing May he still saved them, that was the Peter. after some backup and help, they all lost the burden of their mistakes. The baggage and regrets were cleared out. Making universe 616 Peter's origin story and Sony concluding the previous stories. It didn't only feel like it. They 100% pushed for quick releases to try to capitalise on Marvel's success and because DCU fanboys will defend their garbage no matter how hard DCU spits in their faces and calls it rain we will never get any good DCU movies. Years of the same crap has already shown us that.
@@Sangsstuff exactly. Although I watch Man of Steel every time it comes on, to me there were always little problems in various movies that kept them from being SUPER dope to me like Avengers and others. They tried to force the Justice league together and they didn't give Doomsday the solo movie where he was the main villain like they did in the comics you could tell studio execs and money grabbers were at the helm
@@iunderstanphotography2780 My problem with the DC/Marvel fanboys is that people act as if they will support their side no matter what happens. That doesn't make sense to me. We want good movies about the characters we love. I loved watching Batman and Spider-man as a kid. I watched all saturday comic shows every week and I was super hyped when Spider-man was released and laughed my ass off in cringe when I saw Spider-man 3 with my friends. Just as I was very happy with Spider-man No Way Home and how it redeemed both Maguire and Garfield (the actor not the cat) from their previous bad movies. That is what I want the studios to do! To learn from their mistakes and adapt to make better films. Being a fan who defends their every move no matter what won't ever achieve that. They aren't your precious little children who need support and confidence with every mistake. They are greedy, corporate, adult investors in the movie business and they will give you whatever you have the stomach to swallow. Make sure it's something tasty.

Werewolf by Night was true quality for a 50 minute special presentation marvel should relay more on practical effects, costumes and sets DC is gonna shine bright in the future can’t wait!
I liked the new Ant-man movie also, had no problem with the CGI, and got the Kang I expected. Kang talks shit, but he rarely beats the heroes from Marvel's "main" universe. Scott got more help then I thought he would need.
I love Kang as the villain because there's so much they can do with it especially because of the Loki series but in the Antman movie he was literally the only good part.
Same! And it makes sense why Kang lost. For one, his egotistical arrogance caused him to lose. His suit literally got destroyed by evolved smart ants and he was just a man fighting another man. So naturally, after Wasp came in as well, he stood no chance
I think the MCU will be fine in the long run especially as they are already delaying projects and seem to be going back to having a relatively small amount of releases per year.
because they want more money.... not because they care about the projects. Its coming from bob igar.... not people in control of marvel. People that have nothing to do with marvel and making these decisions.
@@disneynerdsofficial mate DC had the better shows n Marvel thr better movies, but now that's about to change, just bcs they're delaying the releases doesn't mean the writing is gonna change, remember the script is made either before or just after the actors are casted for the roles, so the only way Marvel's writing could improve is if they made/make a movie's script this yr n plan on releasing the movie in the next 2 or 3 yrs. meaning it'd most likely just be Fantastic 4 that'd be a good movie that listened to all the issues of previous movies
Ironic that we're talking about Majors being problematic for MCU in this video about the Flash. Not to minimize claims of domestic violence, but what about Ezra's multiple issues with kidnapping, assault and more. I can't believe Warner Bros went forward with him in the movie.
That's because the movie was already made and they spent way too much money they couldn't afford to just chunk it away months or even a year before Ezra went on his Villain arc
And in refusing to do the right thing and neutralize the Ezra dilemma, the DCEU went on its own villain arc by choosing to do the wrong thing over the right thing. Boo DCEU.
Phase 4 just finished and I'm in the "AntMan 3 was good" crowd. I think it sets us up for the Multiverse well and we're about to hit Guardians so 🤷 I'm actually SUPER HYPED for the Marvel's. Can't wait to see all 3 actors interact!
Nice. It’s also great where comic movies are vs where they used to be. Instead of a single “hero” who gets powers & a negative version he fights who has the same abilities, we FINALLY have movies populated by the comic characters. Even if they’re smaller roles. It’s more and more like a live comic
and that is also despite the show having some pretty sizeable flaws as well... like the stock standard CG orgy, the skipping of ALL the fights when moon knight conks out, some plot conveniences, etc
yeah. I had NO DESIRE to watch it. I was bored and started it....then I was hooked. Was it great? Not like GOG3....but it was a good story. Just like Hawkeye....no desire...and now its one of my favorite series along with WandaVision

Gunn didn't apologize for the tweets until the controversy that got him fired. That image you have attached to the claim is just a quote from an article where he says he apologized ten years earlier. What he actually apologized for was a blog post he made which he apologized to GLAAD for. The gross tweets continued for several months after that apology after he was hired for Guardians of the Galaxy. The reason Disney freaked out is because he followed his apology they forced him to make with more gross jokes on twitter.
THIS!!! I wish more people would actually take this seriously instead of not caring about it because he made a movie they like... Gunn is disgusting and shouldn't be anywhere near these films.
@@JAckh45n i'm not even upset that James Gunn has a job, I like most of his movies. I just wish people would stop retconning his past behavior to make themselves feel better. I would just like to know if would you ever consider covering the DC animated universe movies that started with flash point and went into justice league war.
Hearing that Ryan doesn't like Man of Steel is oddly devastating. But I will admit, I am heavily swayed by a movies score and Zimmers MoS score is incredible.
It was hard to follow up Endgame. I think they’ll be fine. I love all the MCU movies. Yes, even The Eternals. Some are better than others, but I feel they’re all good.
Same here. I think the majority of people probably feel this way too. It's just that the haters are so loud on social media, it artificially amplifies their negative messages.
No it won’t replace the MCU, the MCU has always been a successful company and even with a failure they manage to rise up again. I might be easy to impress since I’ve defended Phase 4 but I’m pleading with you to stop craping on it
I completely agree with your Chapek theory. I heard rumors swirling early on in his tenure that he was tightening the reigns on Feige and it resulted in this microwave Marvel model that we’ve been experiencing for a bit.
Superhero films are very much a genre. Like war films, westerns, musicals, etc. people grow tired of the genre. They just do. Superhero films, like all the aforementioned genres never completely disappear, but they don’t come around 10 times a year.
I think the reason Thur Love and Thunder was disappointing is because we all expected it to equal Thur Ragnarok which was really good, and it just wasn't anywhere near it
It all comes down to personal preference. But with how much Disney was forcing out the movies and shows; it’s meh to say it was all good. But eh if you like it. You like it.
@@buzzlightyear4623 I definitely liked Namor Been wanting to see him I think alot can be done with the character but not having Chadwick was a huge bummer.

Please explain how Multiverse of Madness didn't continue Wanda's arc. The series literally ends with her secretly studying the Darkhold. How could she have any other arc but being corrupted?
@@amf0078 yes, but it's not the same, her descent into darkness should've been done over several movies, making it a proper tragic story. Now it's just meh
The one thing I wanna disagree on is the WandaVision to MoM bit. We clearly see Wanda delving into the Darkhold at the end of WandaVision so it wasn't really a "reboot" of her character. But alas.
Exactly. It's like someone still reeling from grief quietly turning to drugs/alcohol and no one being there to help. She wasn't "cured" or "redeemed" at the end of Wandavision. She left to wallow in her grief. Instead of getting better, she embraced her worst tendencies. She came back with a vengeance.
True, but i think they should have shown a little more about how reading the Darkhold corrupts you. We knew from watching “Agents of shield “, and wandaVision, but it’s not explained in the movie enough,
It’s simply fascinating to me that in 2022, Marvel managed to make an entire show where the star is a total newcomer to acting and still made it work ridiculously well. Hell they made a movie where a main character was played by a newcomer as well. I don’t know, I just think it’s cool to see roles be portrayed well by people we never expect.
Hey man, literally never made a comment on RUclips, but I really enjoyed this video with different perspectives. As a superhero movie fan I appreciate you being open and honest with reviews. Obviously not every movie is an Endgame level movie, but as y’all talked about every movie can hold its own theme and tell its own story. We as fans just want to see good stories like y’all talked about. I appreciate you talking about the good and the bad instead of just agreeing with movie because it was marvel. Love the work you do!
I think DC is on the rise. I think if Marvel focusses on quality over quantity and if DC also focus on story and plot and character over just the darkness and violence and cliches we've had so far I think they could both do very well
Given that Marvel is already slowing down the number of releases, I think they’re already gonna be fine. Feige has a much better mind on looking at where the winds are blowing.
I would really like this kind of win-win-win outcome. Win for Marvel, Win for DC, win for fans. I also hope the same for other mega franchises like Monsterverse, Star Wars, and Middle Earth, too.

@@121Greenthumb the opinion became a cliche because it's true. I criticised Marvel AND DC but I guess you're a Snydercult member who can only see from one angle. "MARTHA!" and jars of piss... Come on man...
What the DCU needs is to learn from "Green Lantern." Despite all the many, many flaws in that movie, it did--to me--have one thing going for it: It was actually a comic book turned into a movie. It looked like a comic, it moved like one, it had a certain lightness of spirit that too much of the DCU ignores (how many Chris Nolan style superheroes do we really need?). Yeah, in most ways "Green Lantern" sucked, but in the ability to translate the feel of a comic to the screen, it was actually a success. Now if DC can learn how to take that while leaving all the other problems (GL, Zack Snyder, MEANINGFUL scripts, etc.), you'll probably have something worth seeing.
I feel the issue post EndGame is the fact that people got a huge pay off for years of build up and forogt that we had some Stinkers along the way (Hulk, The Iron-Man Sequels, Thor the Dark World!!! Age of Ultron(would be a better film if elements where explained in the film and not filled in later because somebody wanted to write a Buffy movie)), so now that we're in a building phase people think "the qualities dropped". What didnt help was the first film of Phase 4 being Spiderman No Way Home, another big climax (not of Spidermans story but of this chapter of his story) that also heaped on nostalgia which got people to celebrate and reminisce (much like End Game did), which set the wrong tone for the Phase because now people are expecting solo films to be just as grand and amazing. Throw into the mix the fan speculation for multiverse film to basically cameo EVERYONE (MoM had an all star Illuminati giving fan casting and fan requests to the screen and people STILL complained because batman didnt show up), and people are getting upset. Conversely, the expectations for a DC film right now are almost non-existent (Black Adam helped that alot after all the energy they put into promotion) so if this movie is so much as OK people are going to be blown away by the improvement and for a short while will believe that DC is coming for Marvels crown, which in reality will just make Marvel get serious and maybe start pandering to easy demographics again
The MCU is fine lol. DC's cinematic universe will finally also be entertaining and comicbook fans will have lots to get excited about. I wonder what the narrative will be when GOTG3 does well and is a well made movie 🤔
I think the MCU is fine, it’s maybe just a bit of burn out. If the MCU actually just pulls back and puts out less content I think they’ll be fine. Actually, when they finally introduce the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and some other more well known characters again they’ll be back.
Just a few years ago it seemed like, “MCU is never going to end!” Every movie was better than the 1 before it. And they still hadn’t introduced those MAJOR characters you mentioned. I’m actually glad they have this rough patch/inflection point. Retool, find their mojo again. Meanwhile DC gets to play. I love it.
Exactly. This saga will pick up too. As phase 5-6 pick up, you'll see more team ups through like with phases 2-3 leading up to Infinity War/Endgame. They can't push characters that don't resonate with fans down our throat as the faces of the product. Reed and Doom need to be front and center in Secret Wars. I can't stress enough how important Spider-Man is to the MCU too. Regular/non hardcores all know Spider-Man and the last one was one of the biggest movies in history (despite no Chinese opening). I'm sure we'll see Spider-Man 4 announced soon but there isn't a ton to be excited about until Cap 4 (even that, we need to see more to really get excited about it) after Guardians
Phase 4 was a mess due to lack of direction. I was getting so excited for all these films and Shows due to the volume of potential characters and storylines. We had the introduction of the Young Avengers, the Midnight Suns, Multiverse and Mutants. Unlike Phase 1-3 there was no end goal just kept throwing more and more. I agree that they need to reign some of this back in.
Adam brought up a great point about in NWH none of the villains had any emotional impact on the MCUs Spider-Man, but I want to take it a step further..... "Our" Peter went out of his way to try and redeem the villains (Doc Oc, Sandman, Lizard, Electro) but the were already redeemed in the previous movies. Even though Doc Oc died, he chose to go out saving people. Sandman and Lizard were redeemed or "cured" in Garfield's movies as well 🧐
what he said about putting character first is kinda what made Picard S3 work. It was a great plot sure, but the made those character moments shine above else

Oh Ryan.. You should know that every comic in DC and Marvel have different tones all in the same universe. Which.. is like real life!! You can't have everything dark all the time, and you can't have everything dark all the time!!
As a diehard MCU fan, the reason I became diehard in the first place was because the MCU led with character. I loved Ms. Marvel, Ryan, as I did all of the Disney+ shows(even those with plot problems due to reshoots etc.) Because they all led with character. The cracks I see appearing are in the heavy plot driven narratives with a lot of flash that seem to leave character behind... Antman Quantumania for example, and even Multiverse of Madness which as you said Ryan, ignored the beautiful character arc of WandaVision. If they can return to character they'll be in a better place IMHO.

I've said this a few times now, but having DC eventually becoming the Top Dog in making great Comic Book Movies/TV Shows or at the would be a good thing for the overall Comic Book film genre as a whole. Because having both Marvel and DC creating fantastic Comic Book stories will make the genre stronger than ever before, as it will unite the fans like me who love both Marvel and DC for the foreseeable future.
The MCU is absolutely fine. It's a section of the fan base that is problem. There are also some very selective memories about how good phases 1-3 are. RDJ is so good as Tony Stark that people have fond memories of Iron Man 2 and 3, but... nah, come on now! Thor: The Dark World is way better than what Phase 4 projects exactly? Is the 2008 Hulk really a must-see on anyone's rewatch list? Infinity War and End Game were unreal, but the expectation that what comes after should be on that level is such an insane take when nothing before it was at that level. It is such an unrealistic desire that those people will always be disappointed. There are some problems with Phase 4, but other than some CGI issues and a little burnout from constant releases, none of it would have been handled much better, if at all, in Phase's 1-3 had situations like the pandemic or Chadwick Boseman's passing happened. They also did not have the pressure of following the MCU without Tony Stark, Steve Rodgers or Natasha Romanoff. Like I said, there is a section of the fan base that is the issue. A tiny percentage are probably the same people who get angry about more women and people of colour appearing in Star Wars - if you got offended by She-Hulk, you should probably do some soul searching - but in most cases it's silly expectations or specific desires. The people who think Daredevil must always be depressingly serious. Or the people that want so many characters to appear in Secret Wars that no actor will get more than 90 seconds of screen time. Then there are the people who say that the Council of Kangs post credit scene was better than the whole of Quantamania. I cannot even describe what a stupid mindset that is to have. Trust me when I say, I have asked around a dozen or so people who I personally know that saw the film, and only one person actually knew what that was from the comics. Many MCU fans have never read the comics. I am excited about DC because I always preferred their comics growing up, and I loathe the Snyderverse. So I am very excited to see what happens there. I may even grow to prefer it to the MCU. But the MCU has been, is, and will continue to be, good-to-great.
In the words of the Sith What the Disney needs to do is... Embrace the dark side. Make Deadpool, Blade, Secret Invasion, etc, darker more gritty, like Winter Solider on steroids. They've brought so much comedy to the MCU it's become a joke. Scale back the comedy and focus on the characters and the story. Let's see some serious, hard-hitting dialogue for a change.
I feel like I’m the only Marvel/MCU fan that’s looking at all this rationally . I think for sure phase four was mid but I didn’t expect it to be spectacular due to knowing phase four is like a reboot of the tone and it’s basically a new phase one. My expectations were lowered after watching WandaVision which Disney promoted as a House of M event . House of M it was not. It was more a precursor that fits within the current iteration of the MCU. 😊
The first superhero I loved was Spiderman. Then I loved the MCU because I loved Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, too. But right now my favorite superhero movies are The Suicide Squad 2021, Batman vs Superman and The Flash. I never had interst in the series but after I've seen The Flash, I started to watch the Flash series in Netflix. Now I am a great fan of DCEU and the Arrowverse.
A lot of good points in the conversation! I definitely agree with most of them. My biggest upset with marvel post endgame is what you guys touched on: the drastic shift in Wanda between WandaVision and multiverse of madness. I still overall like multiverse of madness but my first watch in theaters I was so mad they did her dirty like that lol so totally agree here and I hope marvel learns from their mistakes and take what works and grow from it!

No way. I'm way more of a DC superman fan. I like so.e of the marvel movies and was always envious and jealous of their success. We had the Nolan trilogy but then the wheels fell off with Zack terrible interpretation of superman. Marvel still has its golden goose, the X-men.
They do, but they would rather crack lame jokes and put out a sh*t ton of stuff which is hard to keep track and top it off with weird cgi. I think DC can catch up to their success in coming years or even overtake it if MCU continues down their current path.

@adamlancegarcia misses the point of No Way Home completely. Yes, the movie plays on nostalgia but at its core, it's the best Spider-Man movie made. The trilogy had shown incremental growth with Peter. The first act of No Way Home was a great set up. Set the stakes at almost a grounded level. Yes Peter is "outed" but he is supported by those around him. He makes mistakes. As act two comes into focus, Peter grows. Continues to understand the weight of his role as the true successor and even a better version of Tony. May dying and the subsequent JJJ monologue was one of the best scenes in a comic movie. It was just a gut punch. You feel the anger, sadness and pure agony in Peter (Tom Holland is incredible). Then the final scene where Peter decides the right moral decision is to not wrap up MJ and Ned in his life. It will only put them in danger. I can't wait for the reset in Spectacular Spider-Man. It has the potential to be the best Spider-Man movie in history. Your final thoughts were perfect though. People will come if movies are good. Hell, they'll come if you just bring characters back that they know. Transformers, Minions, Fast and Furious. They all open. Huge. If you're fast tracking Shang Chi, The Eternals, She Hulk and Shuri to try to replace freaking Cap, Iron Man and Black Panther, they're doomed to fail. They need Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and X-Men bad
I couldn't agree more. His perspective on movies reminds me of someone who spends 75% of the movie playing on their phone, and then complains about not understanding what happened.
I didn't give Gunn "credit for Flash." Muschietti deserves all the credit. In fact I said that the new DCU is very fortunate to have this film. I did however see some things that I think Gunn may have put in for future installments of the DCU, minor things.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to believe that Gunn had some influence on the final cut of the flash. He may even have been influential in more ways than that. It’s not like they just hired him to run a studio with out a lengthy lead up to making that choice. I bet Gunn at least offered some notes or consulted on the script at some point. Great points Colton! Glad to see you showing up more often!
@@batmanwins5701 nope 👎 Because they shot most of it prior to gun and Zaslov saw the film before Gunn was hired, and said the same thing everyone is saying now. Don’t you remember when he canned batgirl? That was pre Gunn.
@@TheTotalRecap haven’t seen the movie. “Minor” additions is not enough to give him any stamp on the project. That’s disingenuous! Especially since you as commentators, pundits, people of RUclips should be putting Muschietti’s name first and foremost. Rewatch your own footage. You talk more about Gunn than the screen writer, producers, and even the director who actually made this film. Not lambasting your intent but as this has how many views you have a responsibility to put the actual creative’s name first and foremost as opposed to some new hire hype man. I get it algorithms but say his name! This is Muschietti’s triumph. Don’t make him share that shine with someone who is the least involved. For god sakes Safron had more to do with this film than Gunn.
Not at all. MCU set of characters is just deeper than DC. I don't think MCU will be able to top the first 3 phases, and james gunn gives DC a huge boost, and will make marvel put out a better product, but nothing will top phase 3 of MCU as far as revenue goes. But we will see, regardless I'm super excited about all the DC and MCU movies coming out in the future
Am I the only one who liked Black Adam? There were a few flaws, but the Rock played that character perfectly based on the comics. There are 2 too many "heroes" in it and not enough Khandaq people, but other than that it was a solid film IMO. I hear people bad mouth it but rarely, if ever, do they go into any detail.
This is the problem. MCU has been putting out hit after hit, even phase 4 there was Shang Chi, Spiderman NWH, WandaVision, etc. And although there are a few that weren't up to expectation I'd say there's also this strong new "hate" trend that's blowing it out of proportion. YET DC has yet to put out a single good movie yet & the question is being asked if they're taking over?!🤦🏻 Even if they put ONE good movie out, let's wait for a few before we crown them. So bizarre! Think of the hate the MCU would get if they continued to work with someone like Ezra & all the messed up stuff they've done.
I just don’t get why we need an echo series. I can’t see the character being utilized in any movies so why spend all that time on what essentially is a small side character who at the end of the day people will only watch cause they hope daredevil will be in it. They should have just continued her arc as a side character in the new daredevil series
Great points regarding both the mcu and dceu. I think people forget that phase 1 and 2 had some stinkers too. I just think there is too much material right now.
Am I in the minority believing Wandavision to be one of MCU’s best? I felt that set her up amazingly well for Multiverse of Madness. There’s no dissociation with her character between both films 😒
Ms Marvel wasn't ever setting up the clandestines to be the major villains. they were a plot device to introduce the fear element for civilians and to appease the idea that every hero has a counterpart of equal or greater power. Lets be real, if Damage control were the only bad guys, there would be infinitely more complaints about the show because there is a clear power imbalance. I agree that they could have had a better resolution but at the end of the day, they were the subplot and should not be treated as the focal point of the show.
One movie isn't going to fix that dumpster fire of a dceu. Marvel is looking worse lately .. but we can't just say it's over. Heck we don't even know if Ezra is even acting anymore
Its As you stated before MCU needs to do more street level like what we got in Hawkeye. Until you said that I did not realize that is why loved that show so much
Guys my pitch for DCU Aquaman .. I think Alexander Skarsgard should be DCU's version of Arthur Curry...he's a great actor ...he can bring that mature wise King in the character of Aquaman...a universe where Arthur Curry is already the Aquaman and King of Atlantis and took over the mantle when he was a teenager or in his early 20s...and Orm could already be a prisoner...the first bad guy could be Black Manta...during the end credits Orm escapes with the help of one of Manta's henchmen...
I'm not planning on watching any DCU movies related to Superman amd Batman because I've seen a LOT of them and I'm no longer invested in the characters. I'm not quite invested in the MCU's Peter Parker for the same reason. We had 5 movies and 2 different actors. Loved them but I've seen them already and their magic isn't as strong. I loved the MCU because it was the first time that I saw new Marvel characters and they kept things fresh.
Since it appears that Michael Keaton’s Batman will be in The Flash movie, I’m excited! HOWEVER, the DCU has fooled me before with Justice League and Wonder Women, which I personally hated! So, I’m still team Marvel because they still haven’t disappointed me as much as the DCU/DCEU.
25:45 this sounds familiar the going without a script thing recently I was trying to look up stuff that was coming out or in production around the time of the 2007/2008 Writer's Strike. And you mentioned Iron Man going mostly without a completed script. I think I saw something about it maybe being affected by the strike via asking ChatGPT if it has any articles on that. Unfortunately all or most of the articles it sent me led to pages that don't seem to exist anymore or even be around. I tried putting those links in the wayback machine and can't seem to find anything. I found an article from collider on how it got made, but not much specifically talking about being affected by the strike.
Hardcore fans MAY watch this...but because of the actors involved and the bad cgi affects, this movie is going to BOMB in sales. But mostly the actors gross us out

I dont understand why ppl try to make everything in regards to themselves rather than understand and appreciate what others do...

Yea that line had me shaking my head.
The thing that made the DCEU bad was that it felt like they were trying to take shortcuts to catch up with the MCU in Superman vs Batman.
It didn't only feel like it. They 100% pushed for quick releases to try to capitalise on Marvel's success and because DCU fanboys will defend their garbage no matter how hard DCU spits in their faces and calls it rain we will never get any good DCU movies. Years of the same crap has already shown us that.

@@iunderstanphotography2780 My problem with the DC/Marvel fanboys is that people act as if they will support their side no matter what happens. That doesn't make sense to me.
The Russo Brothers absolutely need to come back for the next Avengers movies.
Spacing out the releases doesn’t mean the quality will be there.
I agree as well. They delayed some projects and are now improving the MCU. The MCU is and ALWAYS will be far ahead and BETTER than DC!!!!!

What he actually apologized for was a blog post he made which he apologized to GLAAD for. The gross tweets continued for several months after that apology after he was hired for Guardians of the Galaxy.
The reason Disney freaked out is because he followed his apology they forced him to make with more gross jokes on twitter.

Exactly. It's like someone still reeling from grief quietly turning to drugs/alcohol and no one being there to help. She wasn't "cured" or "redeemed" at the end of Wandavision.
No way home was the third film in phase 4. Eternals and Black Widow came before that.
Last thing we see of wanda in her show was her using the book to try and find her kids as the scarlett witch. She wasnt reset for the MOM.
The MCU is fine lol. DC's cinematic universe will finally also be entertaining and comicbook fans will have lots to get excited about. I wonder what the narrative will be when GOTG3 does well and is a well made movie 🤔
Those reviews are saying great things about GOTG3!! Glad to see that ahead of Gunn making his move over to the dcu
The best thing for the genre is getting taste makers like Gunn/Fiege/Filoni to come in and give them full control of the sand box.
I think the MCU is fine, it’s maybe just a bit of burn out. If the MCU actually just pulls back and puts out less content I think they’ll be fine. Actually, when they finally introduce the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and some other more well known characters again they’ll be back.
They’re already slowing down on content and holding back releases, so they’re likely gonna do just fine in steadily building what they need
I love it.
I'm over it. Waiting for a reboot. This stuff is already too contrived it's all set ups of set ups for another set up.
The problem isnt too much content.
Love Colton and his very reasonable takes on things. Please invite him to every reaction/analysis video!

Totally agree
Amen!!!
i love the MCU and u guys gave voice to the thoughts and 'mid fatigue' as u guys sed. im ok with the DCU, its just a little dark for me.
I liked Peacemaker
In the words of the Sith What the Disney needs to do is... Embrace the dark side. Make Deadpool, Blade, Secret Invasion, etc, darker more gritty, like Winter Solider on steroids. They've brought so much comedy to the MCU it's become a joke. Scale back the comedy and focus on the characters and the story. Let's see some serious, hard-hitting dialogue for a change.
Adam and Colton’s final thoughts were pretty on point
Colton is always so well kept and hygienic. It’s hard to disagree with his observations and opinions.
Exactly, I think by the end of phase 5 everyone is gonna be locked in👀🔥
Did he just say She Hulk was a solid show?? Oh, Ryan..
Losing credibility every time he says it
@@brianjohnston5221 😅😅
His nose is so brown it looks gangrenous
The first superhero I loved was Spiderman. Then I loved the MCU because I loved Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, too. But right now my favorite superhero movies are The Suicide Squad 2021, Batman vs Superman and The Flash. I never had interst in the series but after I've seen The Flash, I started to watch the Flash series in Netflix. Now I am a great fan of DCEU and the Arrowverse.
I always wanted Christopher Nolan to direct secret wars.
I'd also love Nolan to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty as well😃
A lot of good points in the conversation!
A multiverse of corporate madness
I would love to see some DC stories directed by any of these people:
The Speirig Brothers
The Duffer Brothers
Fede Alvarez
Panos Cosmatos
Lee Cronin
Sam Raimi
Wes Anderson
Duncan Jones
Cedric Nicolas-Troyan
What is with all the hate towards the MCU from this channel? Everyone is so offended that the MCU isn't as incredible as Avengers IW/EG... yeesh.
You have to admit it's going down hill really fast for the MCU.
@@JB-1138 it really hasn’t
@@JB-1138 no, that's just morons buying into doom posts like this. Just like the Star Wars morons that have been begging for KK to be fired since TLJ. Guess what HASN'T HAPPENED and ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.
My suggestion to people that dislike this stuff....STOP WATCHING. No one at the studios are going to cater to you and your whining.
@@JB-1138 It's just oversaturation and too many C List characters. An easy fix.
Because people cares
They loved it, but now are disappointed, got letdown again and again
Terrible characterization, rushed VFX, dull stories, and sometimes mixed with forced jokes and politics that took you out of everything
Although a few are wishing everything to collapse, most people still had hopes
Weren’t Loki, WandaVision and Captain America & The Winter Soldier also Phase 4?
Am I the only one who would love a shot of Cavill's Superman flying off into space, earth in background, smiling at the camera?
That homage would be a bittersweet but epic "goodbye" to the fans. Proper closure.
Leave the MCU ALONE
The structure of where Eternals isn’t the most cohesive to the rest of the mcu. But am I the only person who genuinely loved eternals😂
No. You can’t give Gunn credit for the flash, it was basically done before he even got hired. It’s Andrés Muschietti all the way!
@@batmanwins5701 nope 👎
Because they shot most of it prior to gun and Zaslov saw the film before Gunn was hired, and said the same thing everyone is saying now.
Secret Wars will make a lot of money.
I think DC has already several good movies but I agree with your overall sentiment.
@@silentsaturn7604Black Adam was better than Shang chi. Marvel whole phase 4 was 🗑️
I just don’t get why we need an echo series. I can’t see the character being utilized in any movies so why spend all that time on what essentially is a small side character who at the end of the day people will only watch cause they hope daredevil will be in it. They should have just continued her arc as a side character in the new daredevil series
Man I wish we cared as much for this as we should for the victims that get to have this rub in their faces
Great points regarding both the mcu and dceu. I think people forget that phase 1 and 2 had some stinkers too. I just think there is too much material right now.
I believe that dc is on the rise and will replace Marvel
hard. marvel has a lot of groups to introduce. F4, Xmen, inhumans, even the eternals if redone well
@@droskie5 now that is 100% true but same with dc they just haven’t had chance make great movies
😂😂😂
A groomer pedophile company will never replace the wonderful art of Marvel
No they won’t replace Marvel, Never!!
Am I in the minority believing Wandavision to be one of MCU’s best? I felt that set her up amazingly well for Multiverse of Madness. There’s no dissociation with her character between both films 😒
Why do y’all keep promoting a child predator/groomer and woman abuser? Gross.
Who are you talking about?
@@TChalla616 They're referring to Ezra Miller.
@@TChalla616 that disgusting man Ezra Miller. He’s a horrible person.
RIP MCU, and good riddance! Marvel hasn't been good since Ironman 3. It was already over.
Colton looks like he is at the top of his game! He is so on top of things He doesn’t even have a basement at his house, just a warm and loving wife.
I wish I had a basement though!
Love you man! Glad to see you in more of these vids❤️
One movie isn't going to fix that dumpster fire of a dceu. Marvel is looking worse lately .. but we can't just say it's over. Heck we don't even know if Ezra is even acting anymore
Oh they will keep the pedo especially if this movie hits
Its As you stated before MCU needs to do more street level like what we got in Hawkeye. Until you said that I did not realize that is why loved that show so much
The most dissapointing projects for me were Dr Strange 2 and Thor.
So, I’m still team Marvel because they still haven’t disappointed me as much as the DCU/DCEU.

this sounds familiar
the going without a script thing
recently I was trying to look up stuff that was coming out or in production around the time of the 2007/2008 Writer's Strike.
In truth we want both Marvel and DC to be great and to learn from each other’s flaws to improve so i like em both
I REAALLY want to see an adaptation of the hawk world miniseries. it's the perfect origin story that could lead into him coming to earth
Hardcore fans MAY watch this...but because of the actors involved and the bad cgi affects, this movie is going to BOMB in sales. But mostly the actors gross us out
Assuming people know or care about Miller’s antics.
