- These are the easiest suncatchers I've ever tried. Only a few inexpensive supplies and a little bit of time, and that's it! These suncatchers which are made with glue are NOT SUITABLE FOR OUT DOOR USE. I have another video in which suncatchers are made with melted pony beads. Please see that video if you want suncatcher which can be used outside. It's called DIY Suncathers and IS suitable for outside use.
Pretty! I was kind of surprised when that lifted off of that plastic plate cool! Good job Mary👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you! 😊
My husband was born in gladewater. I love your yard. I live near Lubbock. I lost my husband last year. Thank you for sharing your channel with us
I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious husband. You have joined the club no woman wants to be in. I'm in there too. Welcome to my channel.
Love this ! I’m an art teacher and will be making these with my summer camp kids . Thanks for the great video 👍🏽❤️
Very beautiful indeed, and so easy. I need to make me two of those soon. A few week ago a hawk crashed into my dining room window. He was stunned for a few minutes but eventually flew off. I don't like curtains at that window because of the scenery and greenery I can, see even sitting in my recliner. Right now I have three sheets of white copier paper taped to the glass as a deterrent.
oh, you can make these suncatchers and hang them at different heights in your window to hopefully keep the birds from flying into it.
❤thank you for putting the paper on..poor hawk, hope it's better.
How pretty!!! I'm going to the dollar store tomorrow. Thank you Ms. Mary.
You are so welcome
How cool it that! I was surprised when you pulled it off the plate!
I just bought the items needed to make the other sun catchers…… and now I need to buy more stuff to make these! Thanks for sharing! Great ideas! 🌞🌞🌞
the other kind can go outside. These made with the glue cannot
Omgosh!! What a great idea! At first I was thinking you were leaving it in the plate!! ❤❤❤I love it and it’s Beautiful

What a great idea! I have a bunch of those glass beads that I keep in different containers on my windowsill. I may just have to try this. Love your gentle presentation.

Thank you for sharing this idea Mary!! It is wonderful and will try it!!! ❤️🥰❤️
Wonderful!
What a clever idea! Thank you!! I really enjoyed your video😊
I had bought Elmers clear glue for putting my doll house together, thank you for showing me this product! It’ll be fun for my granddaughters and I to make! God bless you!
I am definitely going to try this! Thanks for sharing this little craft idea with us!🤗💟
You are so welcome!
I just made 3 w-clear glue-2 more days to dry. Thank you so much. Making for gifts.
Sooo Pretty!
Thank you! 😊
What a great, affordable & pretty sun catcher. Totally surprised when you took it off the plate. I'm pretty sure Elmer's makes a clear glue too. Can't wait to try this! Thanks! :-)
yes, Elmer's makes a clear glue. I was at Dollar Tree and found that 1 bottle of clear glue and knew I had Elmer's regular glue at home, so I didn't bother going to find the Elmer's clear.
I love this crafty idea thanks for sharing
You are so welcome!
I'm going to try this, so pretty. I think my grandson would like to make one, too. Thanks for the idea.
You are so welcome!
I'm planning a summer family party and these would make a beautiful decoration for the back yard... thank!!!
Remember, the sun catchers made with glue are not water proof. You might want to make them with the melted pony beads. I have a video showing those also.
What a lovely project, thank you for sharing...Sandra from N.S. Canada
You are so welcome!
😮cool and pretty ❤ thank you for sharing
Great idea! I love how it turned out. Thanks for sharing! ❤
What a fun project! Thank you for teaching us. This will make a very nice addition to my patio area. Gorgeous!
this method will not work for outside use. If you want the suncatchers for outside, see my other video on making those.
I think I’ll try this idea with resin, so I can use it outside. I’ll use the glue with my grandkids. I might also try marbles for some of them. Thanks, I’m always looking for new ideas!
The wind in London blew me to you.. you’re a joy and I love this project.. I will be looking for the flatbacks.. like the majority of crafting products here, the prices are much higher here. 🙏🏽
Remember this method is not waterproof. I have another video showing melted pony beads that you can hang outside.
@@MySimpleCottageLife thanks so much! I plan to make for outdoors so will watch the other video. 🙏🏽
Beautiful outcome! Great for patios and decks! Love the simplicity!
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing this idea with us!
Really nice , quick and pretty project ! God Bless 🌻🦋🌻
Thank you! You too!
So simple and pretty! Most definitely going to try it with my kiddos!
Hi Mary, Going by Dollar Tree tomorrow! I already have some cobalt blue of the glass beads just need the plastic plates and clear glue! I loved the ones you did with the pony beads but I love these more! Stay safe, thank you for teaching how to make this, much love, hugs and God Bless! Stanley and Donna in NE GA mtns.

You are welcome 😊
This looks like fun! TFS
Cute and inexpensive garden craft. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Well, isn't that lovely ❤ i have loafs of beads like that. That might be my sunday project. Thank you ❤

You should! They really are very pretty when the light hits them.
So pretty! Thank you for sharing.
This woul$be fun to do with my niece and nephews!
These are beautiful and look like so much fun! It’s genius!
That is so cool! Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊
Those are beautiful! Would love to try making them! 💜💜
You should!
@@MySimpleCottageLife just coming back to say that I just made one of these but now I have the fun part…waiting until it dries lol! I don’t know how it will turn out because I think I used too much glue! The plates I got look a little smaller then yours and I used purple glue that says it’s supposed to dry clear! I found the beads that look like the ones you used but I also found a pack that had yellow, orange, a pinkish purple color and a light blue/clear color! Can’t wait for it to dry! 💜💜
Beautiful, thank you for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a great idea!!
Glad you think so!
They’re pretty, it’s fun to do crafts 💛
Love it, so beautiful!!❤
Very nice craft idea
Thank you so much 😊
Beautiful suncatchers..I love coloured glass..I haven't got pebbles but I've got seaglass..I'll give it a go..
I'm in Australia 🦘❤😊
these aren't meant for outside use. I have another video about making them for outside.
I made a ton of these ❤ and had so much fun
What a great idea...elmers glue had a ckear version so you dont always need to use regular glue unless its the only availability of glue in your area...
Very very pretty.
Hi there Mary now those are so pretty and would catch the light perfectly. Did you think this up yourself? Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I'm going to hope the dollar tree here will have the things needed. Some of the dollar trees around here are not well supplied with crafts. Would make nice gifts for anyone. You are always up to something arn't you! Crafty lady.
thanks Gert. No, it's not my idea. I remembered it from years ago.
Good job young lady thanks you ❤
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching
My grandkids will love making these! If we have them out on my patio will rain make the glue dissolve?
rain should not affect them. Soaking them for hours in water might however.
Thanks Mary so much i was wondering if something would work.
I made a similar one, but I used resin from Dollar Tree. I used the plastic lids from containers like margarine or deli Cole slaw.
Thank you for your tutorial. I will try to make some.
These can’t be outside. My other tutorial is on suncatchers that are weather proof.
Thanks you my dear sweet friend that will be perfect for me & my grandaughter to do that makes my day
oh yes, she will love it! It's so easy.
oh this is so awesome! Thank you!
Beautiful, good job 👏
Thank you! 😊
Loverly ❤❤
Keep doing you ❤️😁
Great job. I wonder if you could use marbles as well.
I don't know why not. Go for it.
Made several glue not hardening tried a little glue ext. still not drying after a week. Used Elmer’s and E6000 which would not come off the plate. Oh well enjoyed sticking the beads down will stick a hole thru the E6000 one.
Why did you use E6000? That's one of the strongest glues available but not recommended for this project.
What a great idea. Love it
Thank you! 😊
They are pretty I wonder how long they would last outside in the elements. Anyway, I'm going to give this a try soon thank you for sharing. :)
the ones made with glue are not for outside use. I have another video showing suncatchers which are ok for outside. called DIY Suncatchers.
Thank you, mam!
Most welcome!
Oh,i've got to make one of these . Does the clear glue withstand rain?
it should Danielle
Kudos. I saw people hang empty liter bottles with colored water hanging on their porches in country long ago.
So Beautiful Mary 😊❤️
Thanks so much 😊
You have amazing skin what kind of soap and lotion do you use😇love your videos 😻
Hi Tina. Thank you for the nice compliment. I don't use anything special. My cream of choice is Revlon Eterna 27.
Will thos hold up in the rain? Elmers and clear glue are water soluble. So thats the only reason Im asking. I love them so much and want to make many! ❤️😊
not the ones made with the glue. I have another video of suncatchers that will be fine in the outdoors.
Cute idea! Will those water based glues hold up in a year of rain? Personally, I’d try a resin compound or T-6000 & hang them in fishing line.
No, these are not suitable for outdoor use. Please see the comment in the video description.
that is lovely
Could one make a shape, say a cross, allow to dry and then cut off the excess glue?
this is kool can you tint the glue and have a different color for background? just a thought.
what a great idea! Thank you
amazing! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
Lovely!!!
I can't wait to do this 🤗
