- This is a long video and I apologize but I didn't want to break it up into two parts. I just got a terrific comment: The Christmas tree cookie cutters would be a great shape to make these suncatchers in for a tree or for gifts. I love that idea! Y'all are so clever. This craft may not be for everyone. If you have reservations with any part of it, then just don't do it.
What a lovely woman!!
Small round ones would make beautiful coasters. I love the random, multi-colored ones!
🧡💙💜💚❤
That would be so cool to get a Christmas tree pan and make a tree to hang in the window
oh wow, what a great idea. Wouldn't that be pretty!! Thanks for the idea.
Carol, how Christmasy that would look. Good idea.
Really nice, thank you Mary. I love your haircut.
Thank you so much
I absolutely love these. I'm off to order some pony beads!
Hey Ms Mary I made these with the grandchildren we used glass & wood beads in the top to hang our cord through.. Thanks for sharing..😀
thanks for that tip Rebecca!
Dear Mary, I wrote down all the directions....now I need the pony beads. I am going to do this with my granddaughter...she is almost 8 years old and LOVES CRAFTS!! Love from Debbie and Dexter-Dog from S. California. 🙋🐾🙏🙏🌞🌻🌞🎃🎃🐦🐦

Your sun catchers are gorgeous ❤️ just love them
Glad you like them!
Hi there Mary that was so interesting to watch today. What a nice idea. I love the ones that are multicolored so much life to them. Like you said you don't need a lot of equipment either. I'm going to check our Walmart and see what they have in their craft dept. They don't seem to have much in our Walmart as far as crafts go but I'll check. We have a lot of grey days here in New England in the Winter and those would be perfect. Thank you for showing all of us your hobby. If they are not heavy I imagine little suction cups could hold them well I would think. Nice video!
I think they are light enough to be held up with suction cups. I'm glad you liked the idea. Hope you'll try it.
Hi Mary, As I am one of those can' t draw a straight line with a ruler type person! But I am going to try to make me some suncatchers for my kitchen window! I love how these turned out and I am sure they are beautiful when the sun is shinning through them! Will try it over the Thanksgiving holidays as we are still staying away from any crowds! Stay Safe, hugs and God Bless! Stanley and Donna in NE GA mountains.
I hung some of them in my bathroom window. Even with that plastic shower curtain over the window, the sun still shines in and the suncatchers look great there.
Absolutely beautifull....gonna make them myself....❤ thank you...
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you Mary for sharing I love this idea.
You are so welcome. I'm glad you like it.
Easy peasy… very nice and good to know it won’t affect my good pans. Thanks!!!
Thank you! I love those! Bright and cheerful!🌸
Glad you like them!
Love these sun catchers! Yours are beautiful! My son and I will have a blast doing this!
Awesome! Thank you!
The small 1"s in Christmas shapes would make lovely tree decorations. Wish I could make them but no craft shops near me. My suncatchers are shop bought.
That's a great idea!
I’m going to do this with my grandkids. They’ll love it, and I’ll love it too. I have loads of knickknacks on the porch.
How very beautiful, Mary, and so easy. Great idea for Christmas gifts.
Thank you so much! Yes, they would make great gifts.

How Adorable Mary🌞
I Love them!!! What a good idea too.
As you were scrolling through your kitchen I saw a toaster over on your counter and as I saw it I wondered hummmm, I wonder if you could use it for the same purpose. Ofcourse if you were making several at a time, the big oven would be more practical. They are so darling tho! I can't wait to see when the sun comes out how they look❤ your kitchen is sooo cozy, I absolutely love it and could see sitting at your table having a cup of tea or coffee or sweet iced tea in the hot summer. How fun.

I cannot wait to make some of these!! They look great!
I just ordered some beads and a couple of cake pans (I needed cake pans anyhow, so It's good that I came across this video).
I just finished making my first suncatcher using your tutorial. I'm just blown away at how it turned out! I'll definitely be making more of these. The first one is going to go on the pergola in the backyard. The next few are going to go in the windows of my dining room. They don't get a ton of light so they could use a small pop of color.
Great idea. They turned out so good!
Great! Thanks for telling me.
These would make beautiful Christmas decorations!!!
Oh! You're so clever and they are so pretty 😍 I can imagine making some Christmas baubles, and tree shapes,,and snowflakes ,all in golds greens reds and silver and white .If you sold them at craft fares, the would be sold in no time. They are lovely, well done you Mary.❤️🇬🇧🐈⬛xx

Absolutely gorgeous.. .i love roosters also.
This is wonderful.
thanks Janet. I had fun making these several years ago. The ones I made for this video I was able to hang outside on my patio. I just tied them to the big umbrella over my picnic table. They look really nice there.
@@MySimpleCottageLife they are really beautiful. I used to do crafts with nursing home residents and this would make a great project for them. I'm retired now so I think I'll just make some for myself.
remember, you can use all sorts of shapes. The cookie cutters usually come in dozens of different shapes. Just make sure they are metal. You can even string several together to make wind chimes. They are perfectly fine left outdoors.
@@MySimpleCottageLife thank you. I love the cookie cutter shapes.
So neat!!🤗💞
Thank you! 🤗
@@MySimpleCottageLife yes I love your creativity
I love them. Certainly going to make some.
