    I like that the voice coils are higher temp and made in us. It'd be nice to see more xmax on AP subs .

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 2 месяца назад +2

      It looks like the newer 5 stack does have more X mechanical. So it's less likely to bottom out.

    • @Chuck_Sanders
      @Chuck_Sanders 2 месяца назад +2

      The coils are made overseas, using U.S copper, not that it really makes that much of a difference where they're made. And I would agree with you on xmax. If you're going to add an additional slug, make use of its additional space in the motor, for a higher winding width coil. Otherwise, you've just added a slug, to say you have a 5 stack.

    Get rid of those terminals. Imo push terminals are superior & convenient.

    The only problem with these subs are the tensile leads. They will break off. Had about 16 of the 15s do this. They improved on the txx with the green labels on the magnet.

    if they were in stock id get them i may as well wait till they make the 15s i have the APCLE 1800D and it dynos 3000 rms at .5 ohm id love to match the whole setup

    • @evilinside5984
      @evilinside5984 Месяц назад

      @hendrix87boss- You will never get 3000 watts after impedance rise, you will be lucky to get 1,500 watts, even wired @ 1/2 ohm.

    The amount of stacked magnets doesn't matter when you keep making the magnets thinner. For instance my speakers have a triple stack but they're 1-inch slugs you use half inch slugs which is stupid

  • @peterb7399
    @peterb7399 2 месяца назад +1

    Good night . The carbon fibre dust can never make a difference in the sound of a subwoofer ,especially if Audiopipe still uses the inner cap that are on all their subs.

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 2 месяца назад +3

      I'm not sure that's accurate. If that dust cap causes the entire cone structure to be stiffer and have less flex at high excursion levels, then it could have an effect on the sound.

    "Differences" : 1100 Watts vs 1200 Watts and over $100.00 more for the five stack sub. How is that better again?

    • @evilinside5984
      @evilinside5984 Месяц назад +1

      Audiopipe raised the new 5 stacks voice coil max temp. to over 35% higher. So actual power handling is much more than what they rated them, they just want to have less warranty issues, by just rating them a little higher.

  • @peterb7399
    @peterb7399 2 месяца назад

    You people need to be honest to the customers . If the voice coil is now US made with high temperature rating , better cooling and a bigger magnet , how is it that the RMS wattage is just 100watts more than the bd4

    • @evilinside5984
      @evilinside5984 Месяц назад

      @peterb7399- The actual power handling is much more, but audiopipe wants less chance of a warranty failure. I think these new 300° coils, could take 1,500 to 2,000 RMS!?
