A friend of mine dropped this off for me to check out. It is a "Shocking Sounds" 18" sub. He said flex the s*** out of it and make a video. So I did. I don't know what that actual power handling of this sub is.

How dumb can I be sometimes. I didn't even catch it during editing. It even says 18 on the box in the first few seconds DUHHHH! LOL Anyway it is NOT a 15. The recone is a 15" though! :)

Found them. That sub is rated 8000 watts max. $1200. It took 9k like it was nothing so I’m sure these are underrated.

Techmaster PEB is hella old school. I remember a couple years ago after building my first "big" system (2x 12s on 3.5kw) rolling around Tampa bay with my dad bumping Time to Jam and Bass Computer. First time I saw my dad cry in a lot of years. Thanks Steve. Brought back a great memory.

I did check your videos which were supper helpful, but the general knowledge of car audio would be helpful. How to tune your speakers, what frequencies, scooping, and what ranges speakers, tweeters and subs use. The big 3 is my next project for my caddy. Love the content man, keep it coming, cheers.

yes. It's an 18 and not a 15 like i said in the video. That was a mistake by me. The recone is the 15 and I think I confused the 2 during filming and didn't catch it during editing...

Cool sub, but I'd wonder the long term at proper power. Modern Deaf Bonce are lighter with the 4 inch coil, and Sundown have mastered the 3 inch.

Did you ever see the brand Excursion over seas I believe it was Hollywood sound labs from here the logo is the same and some of the stuff say Hollywood on it they have some serious looking subs and amplifiers

I've been watching a lot of videos recently about dissecting speakers in their components. All I want to know is where do you find a cone for a speaker? Who sells that stuff? And what is a good trusted brand?
Kind of depends on the brand of speaker Facebook groups are a good place to ask can Google re cone kit for what ever speaker or soft parts for whatever speaker

Have a question for the guys that no more than me what’s the difference in power handling between free air and in a box
when its on an enclouse, the closed space dampers the suspension of the sub controlling excursion almost like an air suspension, letting more power to be send to the sub without bottom out the coil, free air you dont have anything stopping the sub from going all the way up and down, significantly reducing the power the sub can handle, bottom line is, if the sub handles 19k free air without damaging, it can handle A LOT more in an enclouse, like even double sometimes or more

It ain't like it is a nice comfy bar with a set of plates on each end lol. This thing leaves deep dents in your hand just putting it up on the table.

5 inch voice coil like the b2 audio x26 15 inch dope
Came out with the v1 back in 2013. The v2 has a coil that will make that one look puny. A few other significant upgrades too.
