This guys game kinda reminds me of suzuki. Habs should consider anywhere outside top 2. Demidov scares me because the competition in Russia over the last 3 years and like let's get more talent down the middle.
I wonder about his height, he's been listed at 5'11 for almost a year now but at the same time he's one of the younger guys in this draft, a Brandsegg-Nygard is something like 6 or 7 months older. We've seen younder kids in their draft season, like Reinbacher last year, show up to their first camp a good inch taller than what they'd been initially listed at. Size being such a factor, if he's passing 6", then his projection actually becomes more of a guaranteed top 10.
Man he would make a great 3rd line center with a young growing team. I could see a second line to. My team the Hawks won't be able to get this guy because they will have a top 4 pick and Tampas pick will be in the twenties. Also my sleeper for the cup.
I like Miettinen! Big, mobile, with some nice hands. And he's was on an absolute tear to finish off the season! Looks like a 2nd/3rd rounder, but could be a steal of the draft. Bigger players typically take a little longer to develop. Will be interesting to see where he lands come draft time.
I am hopeful that the Blackhawks will take him with their 3rd pick in the 2nd round. Thanks for sharing your opinion on him. It confirmed my view of him.
You're talking about Scouching that has Freij 5th OA? 😅 I really love Freij, he is reaaally good and underrated, one of my favorites too. I have him at 14, but "best defenseman in the draft" is wild.
Dude is NOT the best defenseman in the draft. Levshunov, Silayev, Dickinson, Buium, Parekh, and Jiricek are guaranteed to all get taken before him and no one will think twice. Freij is a mid to late 2nd round
@@Mixhaelms I definitely agree with you, only wildcard would be Jiricek with his injury... But there's definitely 5+ better defensemen in this draft.. idek if he's the best Swedish defenseman or even on his team.. Leo Sahlin Wallenius, is solid
Maybe a second line center at best, this is why I cannot see him being a top10 pick. I would take Catton before him. However, he might become a Lehkonen type player (...with more offense)which every team needs !!!
Yeah I agree...I'm having a hard time placing him in this draft. I think again it will be determined by a team's needs. But he's gonna be a good NHL player that will help any team in the future!
Player comp for that guy : Philip Danault. Potential: Great 3rd line center. Great defensively. Lacks elite offensive skills. Any Habs fan who wants the team to pick him… you’ve been warned. This is his upside.
So an average height forward with great skating that's a jack of all trades and can throw the body around.. Basically, Darren Helm? Will likely top out as a middle-6. May drop in the draft, honestly. Could see him going mid 20s
He looks really good . Some of those passes are beauuuuties
The junkie!

I’d like the habs to draft him
@@jakelimoges5475delusional
A lot of smallish centers turn into wingers in the NHL. This guy seems like he could stick to center when he develops and makes the jump.
such a high floor. Easy future 2nd line center at the nhl level
Yup!
The next Granlund ?
@@Al_Andaloussi85 Yup!

I hope he falls to the flyers at pick 12 him and Michkov on the same line would be unreal to watch
He is 6'2" with skates on. 😂

Go Sabres!
Definitely seems like a he could be a 2nd line center potentially. Seems like he could be a solid player. Better than I thought 😅
Started off his playoffs with a solid showing in the first game too!
@@nhldraftpros I thought he was older too
SABRES!!!!!!!!!!
very aho like. No real outstanding tools just intelligent and hard-working.
Yes!
I see more of Mikael Granlund in him which still not bad though Lol
And I'll take him! Go Sabres!
Sounds like a Yzerman pick honestly
It does!
I know it's a stretch but I'd love to see the Wings get him at the 15th pick
@@beerdoflyers would take him at 12 if he fell. They need a center to pair with Michkov.

Thanks for the informative videos.
Question for you, What are your thoughts on Julius Miettinenof the WHL.

Do you have Alfons Freij on the list? I've heard people call him the best defenseman in the draft. also most people have him late first, second round
Yup...Freij is on the list!

you had the same clip as an example of great puck control as you had for areas of improvement
for some reason alot of habs fans dont like him. I think hes great
He’s Finnish and plays in Finland, North Americans have a big problem with Finland nowadays
I think the Habs fans are looking for someone with that 'WOW' factor and Helenius is probably not that guy. Demidov and Catton are.
I’m a habs fan and I love him
Would you take a Phillip Danault with a Top-5 pick ?
@@mmm12121 Who in N.A. have a problem with Finland?
Detroit drafts this guy and he turns into the next Datsyuk
Reminds me of Lucas Raymond a bit

I’d love to see your take on Berkly Catton who’s smoking the WHL right now
Dropping his video on Wednesday and let me tell you...he has a ton of crazy clips!
Cool name too…
Dude has beef ... I like a fireplug.
Imagine this guy and Kirill Kaprizov on the ice at the same time. How would you deal with that?
Wow! That's called some pressure.
If by accident he goes outside the top 15 I definitly could see Yzerman drag him And make him a Winger
Yeah that's an Yzerman type player!
100%
This guy has a cool name lol
Great hockey name!
@nhldraftpros almost as cool as marcel marcel. Lol
Is this Sammy Helenius's son?
....the one skater he passes is not very good skater....the guy is Marko Anttila ie Olympic/IIHF WC Cold winning captain of Finnish National Team.
I just don't seem him as a top 6 guy; very high floor, but lacks the abilities to raise his ceiling. So I would draft him in the top 10
I am hearing he might slip to 10.
Salu Koivu like
I see flyers all over him
High floor medium ceiling type of players. No real outstanding qualities. I’m absolutely shocked central scouting ranked him over demidov.
