Not to be a stat watcher, but Frondell would need to have a very high 1C ceiling to be considered at #2 based on his production rate. He's being outclassed in J20 Nationell by 2026 prospects Bjork and Stenberg. Also by fellow draft prospect Viktor Eklund, not to mention he's being out-produced by Latvian forward Bruno Osmanis, who had an insane WJC and puts up better stats, and seems to be more dynamic. I'm always amazed with how many factors truly go into a players' assessment, because there's obviously something to Frondell that we aren't seeing that makes him a #2 prospect on Craig's List. What's your guys' thoughts?
@@nhldraftpros Cheers thanks! Can't wait to see the breakdown. I suspect with how coveted 200ft centers are on teams these days Frondell might fall into that category. Thanks again for the reply
I don't generally agree with Craig Button (but what do I know, not a scout and I just go off a few clips, the overall rankins, and the world juniors :p) but his lists always give some less known prospects some shine and reason for people to look them up. If nothing else have to have a reason to say "this is nonsense, Frondell shouldn't be that high because....."and then insert, hopefully, valid reason.
College game is so beyond what CHL nowadays. Shocking it doesn't play a bigger role in these projections. Schaffer is amazing, but Hagins is playing against men right now and controlling flow.
You take the best player. Schafer is the only player who controls the game. Hawks while early picked for need and not best player. Lol the Hawks chould always trade Kourchinski for a high end forward before he shows how brain dead he is.
What do you think of NHL Central Scouting's and TSN Button's Mid Rankings???
Good stuff
Thanks for watching!

I am a fan of your podcast, but not Craig Button. He reminds me a morning talk show host that preys on the emotions of fans with his rant hot takes.
Thanks! And LOL...Button always has some hot takes for sure! Probably to stir up the pot and get some views like you said.
I'm still a Hagens fan at no1

Korchinski still the biggest head scratcher. Shitty skater, shit decision making, not sure what he's even good at
Thanks for post Tom! We are going to display and chat about this comment on next show this week, so come check it out!
