    As you said, a big right hand shot defenseman are definitely at the top of most NHL lists. He's got some great smarts, puck control, skates decently and has the boomer shot. I think he goes in the top 10. Looks like this is going to be a pretty good draft.

    Another very informative video! Thank you. This young man has improved his defensive play throughout the season. He has all the offensive skills to make an impact in the NHL.

    So rare to see a defenseman at that size have those types of hands. He has some things in his game that he has to clean up, but RHD with that size and skill don't grow on trees. Great video!

    just a heads up his pims are in fact disproportionately from fighting - 5 fighting majors and 4 10-minute misconducts makes up 65 of those 120 pims (assuming the misconducts generally game as a result of fighting)

  • @hockeykid1915

    I see shades of John Carlson in his game

    • @mikeb.2925
      @mikeb.2925 8 месяцев назад +1

      And a replacement for Carlson is without question Washington's biggest need when it comes to the prospect pipeline. I expect they'll try to move up from 17 to get him or another RHD because even if they need a bit of work, there just isn't a future 1D in the organization right now. The only other move that makes sense for them is if they can get Cole Eiserman obviously a goal scoring LW is another top need for the prospect pool.

    If Winnipeg is out round 1 and yakemchuk is available mtl needs to get him. Yes you dont more dmen but he has top line potential! He'd have the most value and can fetch you a top forward prospect eventually! Would be way more value than drafting another forward.

  • @fourwinged
    @fourwinged 9 месяцев назад +1

    My question is... why isn't he a forward? He seems well built to be a good two way/power forward.
    His defense is not exceptional... has a reckless, low accountability style of defense that coaches aren't going to be a big fan of and he's going to be a WIP for like four years
    So either he's going to have to get his presence up on the ice, or convert to a winger... to me, he should just become a winger

    • @ouelljas
      @ouelljas 6 месяцев назад +1

      I was thinking the same thing watching this highlight package. If it doesn’t work out on the back end for this guy, I’d like to see what he could do up front. He’s got great hands, good speed, good vision and that size and reach would be extremely hard to contain for defensemen. He could still man up the point on the PP with that bomb, or play the one timer off the sidewall like Ovechkin does. This kid is a bit raw, but if he gets developed and coached properly, we’ll be talking a lot about him in 5 years. He does have all the tools and ingredients to develop a fantastic defensive game, so it’s not like the potential for that isn’t there or highly unlikely compared to a guy like Parekh for example.

      How? They have logan mailoux and reinbacher. You want another guy with top line potential? The only way they should take another D is if Winnipeg is out round 1 and yakemchkuk is available at that pick then I pick him and possibly move him in the future for a high end forward. That would be big value. With all the LD they have guhle can also play on the right too.
