Another thing people don't know: if your FOB batteries die you can remove the base of the cup holder and place the key in the slot under it with the mustang emblem rearward. The car will start and run normally till you can get batteries :)
I clicked on this video to get tips like this! I already knew everything in the video.
When I'm washing my car I probably lock and unlock my car 30 times on each side! Now that I think about maybe I shouldn't wash my car with the keys in my pocket..!
Matt Williams 😂😂 same here. So annoying.
@@acokedupmonkey3762 when i remote start my car, 1 out of 20 times when i sit down in the car, something in my pocket presses the kill engine button on my key fob and my car turns off
1:16 . sunglass holder yeah right 😂😂 more like blunt holder thanks bro
Mic Leone 👍
Window thing really helps when your doors get broken on both side (happened to my 350z by vandalism). some guy must have pulled the door handle really hard to open the door, he broke both side door handle internal mechanism. I used this to open the door instead of climbing through the rear hatch every time I had to get into the car until I got the new handles to fix the problem.
Cool video! I didn't know the window trick, that'll come in handy, thanks!
subaruwrxfan Yup its in the owners manual =P
eclypse3d you read the manual?!?!😱😱😱😱
+Pancho Willits you don't .....lmao seriously
+andrewman111ah I've had my car almost a month.. I haven't even opened the owners manual.
Sigrafix think about all the pointless dumb s*** you do read though. ....lmao there called priorities
I put my gun in that storage inside the glove box... Works great to hide ma glock :)
Sebastian Arcila I hide the blow in the glovebox.
I keep my pistol there as well. I took a sharpie and blacked out the yellow push button making the access less visible.
Cotton and Sheldon yall to funny Black Bullet that's a good idea you can also try black tape as well.
Sebastian Arcila I keep mine between my seat and center console. You can get at it quicker.
+Sebastian Arcila I hide a weed in a glove box and sometimes smoking as well
Very cool video. I'm picking mine up next weekend and this is good stuff to know in advance. Thanks.
who parked your car????? LOL
Never park next to a car with beat up paint. They don't give a fuck about their car......they sure as hell won't care about yours.
+Sahadi420 car might not have been there when he parked...
+Rockinsweetly yeah that happened to me once at school, i parked next to a normal looking car, when i came back there was a beaten up car
+passion4paws91 but sometimes you gatta go in the back so you can leave for lunch when you're not supposed to and vape.
+Sahadi420 Yeah I work for walmart and I just bought a new 2015 Focus ST and I park faaaaaar off from the front of the store where no one parks and it's always my luck some random person parks their beat up car literally right next to my car when there are a hundred more spots closer to the store. Like seriously?
+Devin S You never know, that guy with the beat up car might cherish it more than you do yours, and parked there to protect your car as well.........it happens.
Just eye your shit like a hawk to make sure he didn't touch yo shit before you leave. :)
Wish they included a Digital Speedometer option choice, in the center display.
Steve Chenoy your wish is granted
ScarED Shenron is that you?
they have that now?
Me too
also if you remove the rubber on the cup holder you can place your key there if its running low on battery so that the car can turn on.
Damn that's a nifty trick I wouldn't expect
LOL
Looks like you need a feature that parks the car for you.
Oof
I just bough a 16 and love it , great info , thanks . I'am 71 years young , I don't like 4 door cars or old people cars . I have two Mustangs and a thunderbird . I love Fords and Donald Trump !!!!
MrEd I feel like you're joking but if not fuck you
lol
MrEd I don't love Donald Trump to each and his or her own, but congratulations on everything else. It's good to see that you're young at heart and spirit!
MrEd same man
MrEd you sir... i like you, your a fucking legend bro haha
The point of the touchless windows is to air out your car in the summer before you get off work without having to go outside and do it while still in the building
Didn't know about the windows trick. Pretty cool. In the base gt, they can press the traction control button twice to turn everything off, in lieu of pressing and holding it like in the premium. Nice video! Keep them coming!
I've had my car for about 8 months and you just blew my effin mind man, I've always complained about not having somewhere to put my glasses, and I always thought it was funny they did keyless entry but it wouldn't lock without using the key. I suppose ford does know what they're doing
And I have a question, is there a way to leave it in sport mode with traction control off or do I have to flip the switch every time, thanks again.
+Brantley Anderson Gotta flip it every time
Finally a video that actually shows me stuff that I didn't know!
I didnt know about the window feature, the gas station feature and the advance trac off feature. Specially the window feature comes in handy. Awesome video mate.
I knew all of these. The windows down with a 2x hold on the unlock is pretty common on a lot of cars (exact techniques vary). Try it on your BMW/Honda/Toyota, it might work also. How about - there is a pen holder under the arm rest.
I’ve had mine for over a year, and didn’t know about any of these features lol thanks for the video.
The purpose of the window feature is for people in hotter areas to ventilate the car and cool it down a bit so by the time they get there it doesnt have that hot stuffy feeling when you get inside, some cars do this automatically
Great video, thanks. What you didn't mention is that, if you push up or down on the turn signal lever just a touch, the corresponding signal will flash three times--perfect for lane changes.
every car does that...
Maybe every Ford. But the Mustang is the first car I've ever owned that did it.
Ive driven fiats ford Renault Volkswagen and they all had it :) maybe it is more common in europe
+cartouchator Nope, state side has been doing this as well. Even the focus, gti, Mazda 3, 350z, titan, etc...all did this
@@tattude1974 i wish i could change this to 5 blinks. i was able to "code" my bimmer to blink 5 instead of 3.
sweet vid, learned about the window trick from a co worker 2 minutes before watching this lol we both have s550s
Just got my 2015 gt today and stumbled on this vid. great job, thanks!
If you have a base model S550 while your Stang is in park press/hold the Ok button (Left side of the steering wheel) and the traction control button at the same time (approximately 2 to 5 seconds). The Advance Trac will then turn off.
I love the fact that all you are showing in this video is in your manual... which most people including yourself is still rapped in plastic.
Didn't know about the window roll-down feature. Thx
Mikey Pee you can also hit the lock button twice and hold to close the windows also
Make a video on the Shaker sound system.
In Texas, airing out the car is a big deal. Didn't know I could roll down windows in advance...thanks. I am very pleased that Ford put the sunglasses compartment there...keeps sunglasses from getting hot. In my other vehicles, sunglasses are stored in a ceiling compartment and therefore are extremely hot if car has been in sun for a while.
Absolutely required here in Florida! Cars get boiling hot ALL YEAR round.
Had my 17 GT for 2 days. Didn't know about that window opening trick. Very cool!
I'm pretty sure that's actually a very common one that a lot of people don't think to try. Even a lot of a cheap hatchbacks can do that.
Nice trick with the window, I didn't believe it so I had to go try it. It sure worked thanks dude.
Awesome. I knew all of them except the advanced track mode and gas stations! Thanks!!!!
2002 BMW 530i. Not only do the windows open, but it also opens the sunroof lol. But great video.
Ben O my fusion opens all windows and sunroof also but if you forget to roll your windows up I can just hit the lock button twice and hold and it rolls up all windows and closes sunroof
Excellent. I don't kow how you found all that, but thank you!
Manual
hahaha, thank you!
The window trick is actually in a lot of different kinds of cars. Had a 2002 BMW 5 series that had it. New Honda's have it as well actually as long as the front two windows have the auto down feature.
3:01 i don't know if it's the same as in 2011 to 2014 models but if you hit the brakes hard and press traction control twice it puts you in "Sport mode" which basically gives you better traction control and slightly tighten the steering wheel, i did test it on an empty road with traction on, off then AdanceTrac off and sport mode i found out the best is sports mode if you're doing race from a dig or on second gear because even if tyers are spinning the RPM slowly goes up and you tyers will stop spinning, i did few times but sadly i didn't have any device that can count 1/4 mile and since my country does not have any drag strip i could not really tell But i feel more confident in sport mode that the car won't spin into the nearest crowd
Also: Trunk unlock button hidden in rear (under the GT or Pony).
One thing you should of done is the Sport Mode....I had problems launching my car for like the first year of owning it until I saw a video of how to put sport mode on. Click traction control twice and bam Sport Mode lets you drive the car hard and if it gets to lose itll save your ass. The first one i didnt know dont think i will use it but kinda cool and the sun glass thingy I use for change but never thought of putting my sun glasses in there probably will start.
This has always been my dream car, I live in NI UK we've only just got mustangs in the market. Maybe one day
The sunglass compartment great spot to store your stash 🤣
I always do that lmao
I always do that lmao
*walking out to my car now to check out the sunglass holder, window trick, and glove box
thanks for posting!
oh and one you didnt know about, if you push the button twice it says advacetrack in sport mode, that is once for traction control off , twice for advance track sport mode and hold down for advance trac off even the owners manual does not tell yu about hitting the button twice but try it it works I have a 2015
definitely didn't know about the windows down one, that'll really come in handy since im in florida!
Thanks for the video! Knew these and within the last few days (have owned my 2015 for 1 year) found out about entering AND starting the car if the FAB dies👍
i didnt know about the advanceTrac feature or the windows for that matter, so this is a pretty neat vid, thx!
Kool vid. I had no clue about the glove box feature and the nav low fuel thing. I have a 2015 just like urs but black. Traded my 2012 gt.
Just got my 16 GT with PP in race red
Sweet car! Congrats
Your car has pp?
Still own it?
Incorrect on the advance trac off. For all traction off: You have to flip that button once (to turn off traction), and a second time and hold it to turn off advance trac. Advance trac is basically a sport mode. I'm master certified on mustangs. You must turn both off before doing any kind of burn outs or hard launches.
+Michael Harris Master Certified. That's one of the worst attempts to fake credentials that I've ever seen.
Didn't know about the window.
On my 13 GT I have to press the brake while holding the traction control button to turn Advance Track off. Did you also hold the brake?
On my 13 there are 4 settings to the traction control button.
1) Everything on (default when started).
2) Traction control off with single touch.
3) Sport Mode with double touch.
4) Every thing off. Press and hold the brake and button for 5 seconds.
Great video, thanks!
The tree like at the track. Mustangs come with it in the dash. Records 0-60 and quarter mile times.
The window feature always bothered me. I would think it would be more practical to be able to roll the windows UP remotely, in the event it starts raining, or you forget to close them or something.
There's also a button under the lip of the trunk lid to open it. See a lot of folks surprised at this
The window trick for letting out the hot air in the car. So when you get in your car it won't be all hot and ugly
this nigga said hot and ugly
There's way more space in the door sill than the old ones; you can fit a whole umbrella in there now
I've had my car for a week and had no idea about the sunglasses compartment lol. Been putting mine in the cup holders and complaining about how Ford chose not to put any place in the car to store them . Thanks for sharing, great vid!
do you have them gt if so how's your mpg? I'm getting 15. just curious to see what other guys are getting.
+ma pope about 15 MPG for me also. All city driving at rush hour.
+Jose Mendoza (CDPJose) i'm getting close to 18 just city driving :/ on the highway much better
+Jose Mendoza (CDPJose) Damn, 2016 GT with SC 626hp is getting 18mpg with mix of highway and city... city is almost always under 3k rpm though so that helps
Jose Mendoza I'm getting 20 on highway now started driving in 6th gear lol drastic improvement
I am afraid that I would forget my sunglasses in that slot. I bought a 2018 GT Premium in July and had no idea about the hidden holder. Until now.
Thanks for the tip on advance trac! Might pick up a tick at the strip?
Should of added the Christmas tree feature. The coolest thing ever and it only works in track mode. Had my stand a week and just found out.
what is that?
+Suicide Gaming it's the track lights. Records 0-60 and quarter mile times.
Thanks for the info I only new about 2 of the 5 the glasses holder and the gas station thing on navigation.
Everything on this video I had no idea was in my car lol, thanks. Had it for almost a year.
the only thing I have a problem with is pretty much the shifter, I am so used to the rough nature of the Tremec TR6060. So I sort of.. "nipped" 2nd and 4th. and felt like I was going to rip out the shifter from the console lol. Time for that Barton shifter!! lol but nice stuff as usual sir.
Love the current shifter in the 2016. great petal feel and nice light crisp short throws. I hated the beefy shifter in old car. clutch petal was too heavy
Great video bro didn't have a clue of any of these features
the trick with window work only for rolling down, not for up, that's why he can't show both ways
The place for the sunglasses... you can put your weed in there!
Actually most people do know about the windows down function. Mustangs and other girds have five this for well over 13 yrs.
I miss the windows down feature... my G35 had that. super useful in the hot ass Arizona desert.
your forgot about the mustang that lights up on the floor under the doors (only visible at night, or dark room) probably the coolest thing and rarest.
you *
It's not rare, it's a part of the premium package, just like the 4 chrome toggle switches. It's called a Puddle light, to light up the ground and show if there's any water, etc.
Ooppps. My cousin had that light there and well we thought it was on all of them haha my bad
Pretty much every brand has been doing the window trick for years, especially Honda and Acura, I think they were the first
+adrian perez Yeah I don't know who was first but my 2004 Ford Mondeo here in Ireland does that. Also many fords over here have heated windsheilds to deal with fog and frost. I think Ford patented the heated windshields though, because nobody else seems to have them and they are extremely handy. You can quckly thaw out the window to free up your wipers from frost without damaging them. Also clears fog in seconds from the windshield instead of waiting for your car to warm up or if there is condensation inside you don't need to blow the vents to get it off. There are little elements that you can only see up close that cover the whole windshield evenly.
Awww no wonder I couldn’t find the manual lol good video
First thing when I ordered my pony was downloading it's manual and study it. :)
Fed Hill Checking in!
Some cool features. Great vid
Man... I bought a mustang really hoping other owners wouldn't be this oblivious to obvious things.
My 2003 Accord had that window feature
+thatoneotherotherguy So did my 2000 Golf. With a slight hack you could also roll them back up in the VW.
Also, I turn AdvanceTrac off every single time I get in my 14 GT. locks the steering into sport and drives completely different. plus it's the only way to really do a burnout. lol
Hi im 16 and getting mustang 2017 gt for my first car, i dont know much bout it and what is advancetrac? im not a car person
Then all I can say is: Don't start with a 2017 GT. Get a car that helps you get your feet wet first, then move into the bigger leagues.
+CrackerBInebriated i know how to drive tho, ive been driving since mid 13
You say that as if two years of on and off anything makes you able to control everything. For all I know, you could be the new Andretti. But as a rule of thumb, I recommend anyone under 21 or without 5 years driving experience starts with a 4 or 6 cylinder car. Even those today can be fast as hell.
+CrackerBInebriated but i wan le 2017 mustang gt :( or v8 vantage or lexus rc f but nooooo im gonna get mustang for some odd reason
Traction control controls wheel slips as if taking off in the rain. AdvanceTrac is for lateral traction control as if you were to lose traction while making a turn #TechInfo
1:18 most people don't know this but you could put your weed in there
I'm about to go out to the parking lot, and probably find my owner's manual tucked in that cubbie. After I bought one on Ebay and put it into the glove compartment. Oh well, I'll have 2 now.
Distance opening and window up/down + the start of motor from outside the car is not available in Switzerland on my model 2017 + also the 3 front light led's are also disconnected and right /left turn signal is not sequential like in the States or AUDI/BMW in Europe ...-:(
I thought the sunglasses drawer was for the airbags lol
Why nobody talking about UMBRELLA POCKET inside of the doors?
Oh so thats why that pocket goes like forever and shit gets lost back there I was like what a fucking dumb design now I know why its so deep
jason wieber
Yes, I purchase 2x Mustang umbrella from eBay and that exact fit the space. Nice umbrellas with mustang logo, also possible to buy from Ford dealer but always not in stock in Canada.
D VK didn't know it had one good to kno
@@jasonwieber2762 THATS WHAT THAT IS FOR?!?! i use it for receipts and other non-soiled garbage
Too bad the windows only roll down. I had both up/down on my Audi and could do micro adjustments, it was actually useful. However, I really like my new Mustang.
What does that little yellow helmet symbol mean that was on your dash??? And how do you activate whatever that is?? Good video btw
Didn't know abt the nav gas station cool thanks
you're awesome . keep uploading videos like this 👍🏼
The first one has been on basically every car that can even remotely be considered a "luxury" car since like 2002. It really depresses me that no one ever knows about it /:
Hope to see you around I live in Baltimore, Md
Trato window trick should work with every car lol read the manuals people, they do that for a reason
Getting ready to buy a mustang Gt. Don’t all premium gt’s come with oil and vacuum gauge. Curios as to why some have it and others don’t??
Only for PP
Thanks for the video. Good pointers for my girls mustang.
on the rear of the car where the license plate goes there is a button on top where u can open the trunk of the car just mentioning it cause the salesman didn't know lol
The manual box always falls open on mine when I open the glove box
What about the security feature when you reach through the window (windows down and alarm on) the alarm will go off ?
And no, ford does not put the manual in glove box from the factory. The sales person/delivery person will put it in there.
Is there a heads up display on this car?
dude the 2003 nissan 350z windows roll down with the keys too
Didnt know about the gas stations showing up on nav...thanks..
hey bro nice stang just 1 question? how bout our Ravens...….
Looking forward to Sunday!
second cubby for the manuals looks more like weed stash holder
The window thing works on a lot of cars actually, especially higher trim models. So does the traction control thing (if you have a traction control button - hit it once it turns it off, hold it then it usually turns it off 'more). The thing on the door, how have people been locking it if they don't know what the ridges are for? Wouldn't you think it's kind of stupid to be able to unlock it without the key, but still have to use it to lock it? lol..
I bet they just push the lock button on the FOB.
wantsanewvehicle Yeah our Honda accord from 2003 has that remote window opening feature. Also opens the sunroof. It's a pretty base model as well
Holding the traction control tab up sometimes works but doesn't work more times then does. Are you hitting ok for traction control prior to advance Trac option???
