Hey, I am currently having the same issue and was just wondering how you got the actual glove box off...I have it like 98% the way off but I cannot for the life of me get the button in the glove box that pops the trunk open off..I was just wondering if you could possibly describe how that button detaches, it is driving me insane. Thanks ahead of time for any help you could give.
@@xjoe81x Does the entire button come off or does it unplug...I have been messing with it for days now trying to get it to unplug..I have never had such an issue getting something unplugged, it is crazy and I don't want to just rip it out in frustration.
Typical GM of that era. My 2004 Silverado does that, too. I've replaced one of the actuator motors that controls temperature, of course on the drivers side failed. I'd be driving along, and it would randomly go full hot. That wasn't too fun in the middle of Summer.
I need help. My 06 buick lucerne cxl does the same thing and at first my driver side was cool i added freon and now the driver side is warm and the passenger side is cooler..i dnt know what to do ..Any Help??
Replace the actuator. My 2006 lucerne cxl does same thing. Mechanic said he would do it for 1100! Part is only 35 bucks. Going to do it my self when weather gets warmer.
Hi did you ever fix this issue? I have no heat in my lucerne and a brutal grinding noise under the dash each time I turn knob for vents. What can I do brother?
It was never broken. It just made noises. But all the gears are under the passenger dash. Remove the glove box and then you'll see white plastic pieces that move.

It has clips, or a clip.

@@Diplomat314 It should probably just unplug.
Those era GM radios and climate control systems were CHEAP.

Nope, doesn't sound like it.

Mine was not doing that, so unfortunately I can't help you.

What was the outcome? Was it the hot/cold actuator?
Blend door actuator. Annoying , aggravating things. I actually found a thread on the buick owners forum. Going to attempt dismantling soon...
@empackmanmueller1725 that's insane 😳
Thanks.
You're welcome
Started having this issue, will this cause any actual issues if I continue driving it? Or is it something that requires fixing?
I don't think it causes a driving problem.
which one is for the temp upper or lower?
I don't recall.

@@xjoe81x ok great thsnk you..Is there a way to manually open the blend door. make it so it stays on warm?
@@9682joe I do not know.
@@xjoe81x ok great, thank you very much..Do you know if there's a way force the blend for open somehow?
@@9682joe Anything you force will be broken. It's all plastic.
Just like the old lady that's supposed to drive it, their hands are shaky. Built for a purpose.
Mine was a cabin filter
@@jimmymabry4193 You were lucky.
I have the same thing
Interesting.
