Thank you for this video. I have the same problem with my "08" Lucerne. Looks like I'm going to clean my heater core. I'll take your advice mid video, and regardless if my actuator door is working or not I'm not tearing into the dash. LOL Great video.

I'm currently having a same problem. Except my actuators are all working fine. I'm going to try unclogging the heater core. You may have just saved me a lot of tie and money.
    Thank You for sharing!!!!

very good and detailed, you covered every possible issue. the vinegar was a gem, old school knowledge.

Great video. Had the same problem, heat on driver's side but cool on passenger side. Flushed heater core (would use white vinegar) and restored heat to both sides. Let sit with vinegar long enough to dislodge solids. Might take hours to really clean depending on how dirty. Nothing wrong with repeating process if still getting more dirt. Caution: cant leave any cleaning agent in system indefinitely as it will eventually eat through something and cause a leak and major damage. When done with cleaning, flush with water thoroughly etc.

Thank you for making this video. I have the same car, same problem. Last year I took the glove box out and watched all the actuators work. Then I flushed the heater core, but I didn't do it too thoroughly and I didn't use vinegar. It barely increased the heat on the passenger side. So I guess I'm gonna be fixing to flush the core again like you did now soon.

i would have just taped the door where the cabin filter door was open and taped it closed for the winter for heat only....Then if you needed it open for summer then just un tape it open

It was a pain in the butt. The lever that allows the box to open slowly, I never was able to get it back in place. I can't remember what all I had to take apart. sorry.

Go thru how to put Vinegar in the heater core and how to leave it in for a time before flushing it out..... give steps of how to do it.

I put a short hose on one of the heater core outlet and installed a funnel. I lifted it up toward the hood and poured in the vinigar. The other hose from the core I ran into the bucket.
