    I don’t think the Colorado is high enough really to have steps, but I keep my seat high and I have a bad right hip so stepping up with my left leg definitely helps.

    If you lay directly under the step up you can get the first 2 bolts in while still holding it up by just putting a knee on it I watched the first 4 minutes and had it figured thank you by the way

    I ended up removing these same exact side steps from my 2016 Colorado and opted for a black rectangular 6 inch wide step bars. The reason is that these OEM side steps as heavy duty as they are, do not protect the rear fenders from paint chips, its a factory design flaw. The rear fenders on any colorado will eventually end up damaged due to the front tires picking up the slightest gravel, sand etc. and damaging the paint..

    • @StollNCrew
      @StollNCrew  2 года назад +1

      Interesting. I'll have to keep an eye on that. The other steps help block road debris from coming up better?

    • @DJCARBON2012
      @DJCARBON2012 2 года назад

      @@StollNCrew yes, they are longer and wide. They help keep the truck cleaner and i don't have to worry about driving over loose gravel or off road. Its like having a large mud guard for the front tires...

    • @whoistheroach136
      @whoistheroach136 9 месяцев назад

      Rokblokz mud flaps fixed the problem of debris being slung on the side from the front tire of my 22 ZR2. Easy install and looks great!

  • @SuperDave-pe1zw
    @SuperDave-pe1zw 2 года назад +1

    Nerf bars are all pretty much the same to install. My 2022 Colorado Redline edition came with the same bars factory. I'll probably remove them and get some smaller ones or rock slider style like on the ZR2. Trucks looking good 👍 Now you just need a level and remove air dam !

      Well I have a ladder rack on the truck and we do construction all year round so I definitely use them all the time for strapping material down but they're not really needed if you're just driving the truck.

    Hey 2 questions:
    1) Same installation procedure on 2017 GMC CANYON?
    2) i bought the steps without the bolts and clips. What are the bolt sizes and part number for the clips & bolt only if you have them. Thanks!

    • @StollNCrew
      @StollNCrew  2 года назад

      Honestly can't answer either of those. I'm sure it's the same or very similar for the Canyon but can't confirm. And I don't know the size or part #s. Sorry!

    Would it have been easier to put the brackets on the truck first? Then put the running boards on the brackets. Probably could have been a one man job. Good looking truck.

    • @StollNCrew
      @StollNCrew  2 года назад +4

      That is a possibility but the brackets came attached to the steps already. The correct way to do it with one person, which I missed, is to put the four (or at least 2) upper bolts on and hang the steps on those bolts because the upper bracket is open like a hook.

    • @ickey1b
      @ickey1b Год назад

      @@StollNCrew That's exactly what I noticed. If you could hang it from the open hooks on both ends then put all the other bolts in. I have a 2018 and will be ordering these very soon.
