That was my first thought after seeing the paint on Snarl. "You guys made his head and legs a different color yellow than all the others so you could make one that matches only available as part of a full set, didn't you?"
you've gotten so much better with your reviews. I'm no expert, but the way you handled the "negatives" and highlighted their benefits for Swoop was excellent, practical thinking. The usual great showcasing that you do with these figures feels inspired as always. The use of clips from the film is nostalgic and certainly got me more hyped for this figure. This is what a review from a true Transformers fan should be like. oh and last but not least, accepting that you were mistaken with the previous critique about him being too blocky shows a quality that is rarely seen in people. In my opinion, only the greats admit their mistakes and grow from them, while everyone else drags their feet for not doing the same. Once again, a review made by a true Transformers fan :)

My first figure when getting back into collecting was SS86 Grimlock, and that figure lit a fire under my ass that hasn't gone out to this day. Finally seeing the 86 Dinobots complete feels like the culmination of my collecting journey. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on this guy and I also cannot wait to start collecting the 86 Constructicons.
swoop being my HANDS DOWN FAVOURITE DINOBOT, I initially was bummed as he looked very very very very VERY wide in the photos and his face looked like he ran into a brick wall and just finally got his suctioned face off the wall, But ye it looks better here now so i'm rlly exited to pick him up
Swoop and Snarl have always been and will always be my favourite Dinobots, and these leader class figures definitely solidify that opinion. Phenomenal review as always PvP!
Swoop is not only my favourite of the set from what I've seen (which I'm confident will not change), he's my 4th favourite Studio Series figure, behind The Fallen, Ultra Magnus, and Devastator.
Nice review. I've got two of these preordered! I like this figure more than I thought I would. The wings are amazing, and I like the robot/dino head transformation. I am disappointed that it has forearm transformation gaps, though. That's why I did not pick up SS86 Grimlock. I display my other SS86 Dinobots (all upgraded with third-party upgrade/gap-filling kits) alongside MP Grimlocks. They scale well with my MP Grimlocks. I'm sure a third-party will address Swoops gaps, like they did with the other Dinobots.
In the original _toy_ the robot arms partway tuck into the torso, but they never completed the transformation in the cartoon character model. This is a problem with 'cartoon accuracy' because it results in a supposedly better toy that is more blocky than it really needs to be. Also, the original has a tail. :) Having said all that, for what it is, this toy looks great as part of its team, and that water feature is cool too. Must be that Cybertronian pond the Dinobots like to fish in.

Slag/Slug has always been my favourite. I had a G1 Slag as a kid and i was in heaven scoring the SS version a few years ago. I have all four current SS dinobots so I'm excited beyond words to finish the team with Swoop!
Very nice to complete the crew. Of course, G1 Scor , Skarr, and Paddles would be beyond amazing. If only we knew that Hasbro would release all the G2 Repaints so I could wait for those. I would hate to miss out on these if they don't.
We had only G1 Snarl. So much metal, so he was the heaviest of them. Loved his look, too. In the end, should have gotten all of them. Nice to have these completed now!
Swoop was my favorite dinobot. Finally got him from an eBay Transformers lot back in the late 90s. Somehow the wings always comes off kind of like Starscream so it was easy to lose the wings if not track. Wish they make a diecast version.

So happy to finally have them done. Swoop was always my favorite so best for last I suppose. I would have appreciated all the missing weapons to be included here. Looking at them all together that lack of proper gold on Snarls Dino face and legs REALLY stands out - not only for him but for the whole team look. Oh well. This makes me so glad I never got any 3RD party Dinobots. Some quality effort went into them by Hasbro standards and they turned out fantastic.
I think he is the perfect height for the toyline, in the G1 cartoon, sometimes he is the same height as his brothers, and sometimes he is shorter, depending on animation errors! Lol!
All of the Dino bots share the same hip assembly. You can take all of the screws out and detach the hips, take out the plastic ratchet teeth, and insert construction paper cutouts to raise those ratchets upward to make them tighter. Just about all of my dino bots have had that issue, and I have fixed it the same way each time.
11:03 whats that long slot for in his mouth? Ive just put mine straight on the shelf in bot mode and haven't transformed him as im currently putting my shelves and collection back after boxing it all up to get my new flooring laid, i haven't finished yet but going to have a decent play around with him when im finally done. Maybe i can figure it out. What about his sword? That part that sticks out on one side maybe (just throwing a wild one out)
Snarl is my favorite Dinobot, but in terms of figures, having seen so much of Swoop now, here’s how I rank these 5: 1: Grimlock 2: Snarl 3: Swoop 4: Sludge 5: Slag They’re all incredibly good, and I cannot wait to have Swoop. These are definitely a highlight in my collection.
This is gonna be my first SS 86 Dinobot! I'm definitely gonna pick up the SS 86 Grimlock re-issue next year, and maybe I'll finish the SS 86 Dinobot collection in a year or so. 😅 I'm still anticipating the remainder of the SS AOE/TLK Dinobots!!!

Swoop is one of my favorite Dinobots! I love him! & ofc, his brothers, too! To me, Swoop feels like the younger brother, well technically thats true cuz he, & Snarl, were "born" after Grimlock, Sludge, & Slag. But, still. Theres just something abt him that makes him extra cute (& kinda innocent)! (ofc, all the Dinobots are, but still) SS86 Swoop here looks PERFECT! I want him so badly!
Awesome! Ranking: Grimlock is king! Then Slug (missing sword) but so dang good. Swoop next. That looks awesome! And has Grimlock’s sword. Sludge andSnarl tied for last. Small back plates and useless tail for Snarl. Sludge needed more engineering for underneath. Also missing accessories of gun for Snarl and sword for Sludge. All are amazing as robots.

And I am totally going to get all five of them and hopefully Devastator however he's gonna be packaged either in alt mode, combined mode, or robot modes.

My favorite has been snarl even if they did him dirty with the yellow paint. That bot mode is amazing

Great figure, but i really think Hasbro should have also included swords for Sludge and Slag and a gun for Snarl.

Now as all G1 dinobots get their SS86 leaders, I hope hazbro now would focus on the other AOE dinobots, as we still didn't get anyone more, besides Grimlock right sence 2018
I really wish they would too! Although it seems like 86 Devastator is their next project. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m 2026 they reboot the AOE Dinobots with a commander class Grimlock and then start releasing leaders 🤔
