Seriously when that came up I was like, man the person who gave Johnny the Gamecube version and wanted you to review it was very lucky someone else gave him the PS2 version.
I know this is old but it’s was the weirdest thing, I actually *did* test it before I went to PAX east to donate it to him that day. I do remember it being extremely cold, though, and I had bought a few things that may have done something to the disc on my way, however. I was certainly very lucky that Nathaniel Foga donated the PS2 version, and ultimately I think the gag made it all worth it.

I played this years ago with my little sister on the Gamecube, and it's still one of my favourite memories. She was playing as Niobe. I forget the mission, but she had to escape a building cos there was an Agent on the way, so she ran for the nearest elevator. Having watched Matrix 2, I screamed, "DON'T GO IN THE LIFT!!" "WHY NOT?!" Before the doors had even opened all the way, an Agent had punched her in the face. "THEY'RE ALWAYS IN THE LIFT!" Cue running, cursing, etc.
Something I like about this game that kind of just applies to the time back then is the cheat to have the cars fight. I just like those type of cheat codes that you don't seem to see anymore.
Not to mention Daylight Saving's Time is in effect, so with that and Johnny time, I can't sleep at all! Because who needs sleep anyway when you've got Johnny!
I can see why this video took so long. Editing the footage to make it look like you were a part of the Matrix must have been a pain in the ass. But, it did make it look really authentic. Fantastic work as usual, Johnny.

I remember watching this game so many years ago as my older brother played it. It's funny that my tastes in music changed and developed over time, I ended up really liking Celldweller, and I had to do a double take when I heard switchback in Johnny's video. I honestly had no idea their music was used in the Matrix games.
I don't know what it is with Gamecube discs, they seem to be more delicate than N64 cartridges, which is saying a lot if you've watched SGB's playthrough of Ocarina of Time, or have experience with one yourself. At least 3 of my old Gamecube discs don't work anymore, not from mistreatment, just from use.

Man I miss when he used to show the next game at the end of the video. It's hard to build up anticipation when you literally zero indication onto what the next review will be. Plus when we did know you could check follow Johnny's progress or real time opinion on the game and get a more intimate feeling than you would with just the video alone.
Interesting fact about this game. It was rushed out by Atari even though the company knew it needed more time for development. They just figured that the people who were going to buy it were going to do so, with or without the extra time to finish the game, and published it anyway.
