Wow, a feast of 7.5 hp motors today, excellent. Amazing the difference in performance, 8 for the Eska, 10 for the Elgin and 12 mph for the Merc.

Yes, I brought a few of my 7.5s out to play today. I almost brought the Chrysler put as well, but wasn't sure I get to run everything I brought as it was. Thanks for watching, Bill!

You’re a madman! Good job on the crankshaft repair; I couldn’t imagine how that might have felt but if it works it works, and it looks like it works just fine. I’m currently working on a 1956 7.5 Elgin. Everything has to be gone through from top to bottom. Well when it came to the impeller that was just shot, I re-engineered an OMC impeller to work on it. Where there’s a will there’s a way. 💪

Thank you! Yes, it really felt like a major letdown when the top of that crank snapped off. I'm very happy to have been able to save it. It really does work nicely now. It's a nice running little motor. Good luck with yours and nice work on the impeller. Thanks for watching!

Thank you. It is a nice runner. It isn't as strong as I would have hoped, but it really runs well and looks pretty nice too. Thanks for watching!

I sure appreciate the compliment. I run across one that stumps me for a while from time to time. I usually get them figured out though. This one turned out a nice runner. Not as strong as I had hoped, but very smooth. Good running and easy to start. Thanks for watching!

Thank you. This one is cosmetically quite nice. It turned put a nice runner too. Not the most lively 7.5 I have ever run, but it runs beautifully. Thanks for watching!

Nice and strong for 7.5 hp.

Not too bad, but I expected a bit more out of the 7.5. I would have e expected this performance out of a 5.5. It really does run quite nicely though. Thanks for watching!

The old merc leaves this elgin in the dust for sure

Yes, it sure does. I actually expected a bit more out of this Elgin. It actually performs like a good strong 5.5 and I had always heard the West Bend 7.5s were strong for their size. It runs great, but didn't perform quite as I thought it might. Thanks for watching!

@@oldjohnnyrude8404 Yeah, that's what I thought also, that the elgins were underrated horsepower wise...
