three days ago I saw this video and i saw mike doing flams with one foot. Since then I have been sitting on my drum kit trying to do it...probably gonna be here for about a year lol
I already learned this super cool lick and i tried to improvise in my style and to say it with my words and it sounds GREAT! Now everyone is wondering how it works when i play it and i'm like "I'm black dude, i just have plastic surgery" hahaha :DDD Thank you Mike and best wishes ;)
Oh man, struggling with this one :-) HiHat-foot on 1/8th helps me a lot. And what helps me also, when playing the right hand with the toms, so I can orientate myself by the tom melody. Here are my groups of 6/32th with the last 2/32th on Tom 1 and Snare (L): T2 L T3 l l B T2 L T3 l l B T2 L T3 l l B T2 L T3 l l B T2 L T3 l l B T1 L L = Snare l = Snare Ghost Note T2 = Tom 2 T3 = Tom 3 B = Bass Drum Currently I'm not doing much over 40bpm, when holding the time with my left foot. :-/ It's a bit frustrating seeing Mike doing this fills at this speed ... but I will not give up the journey ;-)
