Good luck! As a 40 year old runner, really enjoy your vids and reflections / insight
Thanks for the comment. Glad you find the content useful.
I'm glad you've started talking about carb loading. I've never thought enough about it, but now I'll try it at my next race.
Good luck 👍🏻
It was really good for the late stage.
Good luck Will. You are very relatable to me as I am going for sub 3 in Newport after narrowly missing out in my last attempt. Have a good race!
Ah brilliant , I’m really interested in Newport for the future. I hear it’s quite fast.
You've got this Will! You've done the work.
Thank you!
Not sure which Garmin you have Will but on mine you set a time pace target. For me, I press run, press up, select targets, and then there are few options. I set a time and distance. It then shows you through the race how far ahead or behind you are. Just learned about it and will be the first time I use it (if I remember 😅 )
Ah I think that feature is called pace pro. That’s not on mine.
Good luck Will, hopefully see you out there on the course. I’ve marked out your arrival times at various watch points on the course , just need to try and support all 3 of you with different paces😊
Much appreciated Andy.
love this Wu. Found your channel after listening to the 'Red line' poddy. Good luck at Manchester, see you there!
Cheers man appreciate it
Haha @ Neil. I felt his pain. I was exactly the same. 4.27. Never again!! Good video. Well done on your time!
Lol yea he’s quite adamant never again!
You will rock it! Since you got the speed and the strength, I’d recommend the Hoka Cielo x1s. Yes yes they are heavier but it’s negligible once you realize they are so unbelievably comfortable for a super shoe. That extra weight then goes out the door . Good luck and you got it!!
Yea I have seen good reviews on that shoe. Would defo like to try it.
V best of luck, I have no doubt u will smash it, believe in urself and start strong 💪
Thanks for the support.
Good luck Will! Great video as always. Aiming for sub 3 as well 🙏
Thanks , hope you had a good race.
@@TheWu Cheers man, somehow managed 2:54! Sorry to see you just missed out on the sub 3, but with the foot problems you’ve had I can’t believe you were so close to it! Looks like you finished in good shape as well so I think you’ll be there for your next one no problem 🙏
Good Luck for Sunday! Smash it!
Thanks 🙏🏽
Good luck Wu you will get that sub 3 bro. Proud of you 😊
Cheers
New Subscriber, brilliant content. All the best lad
Much appreciated mate!
Good luck! Will be tracking you 😊
Thanks for the support.
Good luck!
Thanks!
Good luck Will👍👍👍
Good luck Will!! 🎉
🙏🏽
Good luck Will
Thanks
Looks like you've got all the little details right at the end. Don't worry about the shoes. I've a pair of Pro 3s with 400 plus miles in them. I'd be confident of running a marathon in then if I had to.
Yep they felt good.
Good luck - have a great day
Cheers!
Im running also but Good luck mate you will do it this time no doubt forget about the 35km mark it's just a number look forward to the video 👍
Thanks for the support.
Good luck mate!
Thanks!
Best of luck for tomorrow, I am in Red wave too.
Hope you had a good race !
Good luck Wu!
Appreciated
Have a great race 👌
🙏🏽
Good luck for Sunday
Thanks for the support.
Once again, good luck. I think you’ll do it. If your carb loading works I’m going to try replicate it for London. Really enjoyed the series.
Thanks man!
See you tomorrow!!
Hope you had a good run.
Good luck, probably will see you there although ill be in the green wave .
Hope you did great!
Good luck Wu. I’m there watching my housemate so will invariably be looking out for you
Hope you enjoyed the event. The support on the day was amazing.
Good luck!
2:58:45.. calling it now.
One minute 15 seconds... 😭
One day one day!
Good luck wu, I'll be in Manchester as well, first marathon for me
How did it go?
@@Martin_Edmondson hey man. Went pretty good for my first one thanks. 4hrs 25, happy with that. Felt fine up 19 to 20 miles then it got tricky so ran half a mile then walked a minute and that helped get me over the line
@@deano100able That's awesome, well done! The last bit is always brutal. Good luck with the next one!
@@Martin_Edmondson thanks mate. I loved it but I definitely don't want to do another one, not anytime soon anyway haha. I just wanted to do one and tick it off my bucket list, sticking to half marathons and 10ks.
Sounds like you did great 👍🏽 even if you only do one you can say you ran a marathon! Well done
I looked into this a while ago with a professional nutritionist. He seemed to say 10g of carbs per kg of body weight was about right, so 700+ for me! But he said more than 2 days out you don’t get any extra benefits as your body can’t store the energy that long
700 is a lot ! Good luck with that. Yea I think the 3rd day out is not that strict.
Adios pro 3 gives me and my brother always cramps in calf and hamstring when taking other options no cramps.. I think the adios give us a negative drop when loaded. It doesn't work with our running mechanics.I would try something with higher drop and firmer midsole..
An that’s a shame, I think the pro 3 is really good.
Interesting about the carb loading numbers - I’ve always just eaten pizza/pasta the 2 days before. Obviously Brighton was going to be some sort of misery regardless but next time I think I’ll look at the numbers… also why is all this expensive running stuff we buy of such poor quality?! Good luck mate. I think this is the one.
Yea the carb is defo helpful for preparing for the late stages. Just takes a lot of planning as the numbers for recommendation is so high!
A dominos pizza is a cheat code for carb loading 1 day before.
Hahaha
It’s show time
✌️
Wow, you have to get an emergency line of credit to buy Soar gear so the thought that a vest would fall apart and need glueing back puts the old tin lid on whether my children's inheritance should be squandered on this pricey apparel 😮.
Very pricey but super good performance , just have to be really careful looking after it 😅
2:55 😢😢😢 I'm 32
Brutal haha
