On stretchable conductors-when the iPad first came out, I was joking about developments in technology that would be used because they were "cool" but were actually impractical. I said they would come out with an iPad that you could roll or fold up and stick in your pocket. I said people would go "wow! cool!" and buy it, but then would have to carry a clipboard around to mount the roll-up iPad on in order to use it, in which case they might as well carry around a "stiff" iPad like we use now. Seems my prediction will come true sooner than expected.

Guys, Please!!! This is very common in South Africa. It is not a rock. It grows on a rock though. It is nothing weird. We call it "Rooi Aas" which means Red Bait. Rocks in the sea have it growing between the low and high tide. We do indeed use it as bait for fishing. It is well camo'd and you have to know what to look for. Buy squeezing or stepping on it, water squirts out. (It feeds on organisms in the water) Now if you like eating seafood like oysters and mussels, you will like the taste of this "ROCK" as they call it here on this video. You can even just cut it open and remove the reddish inside, rinse it in the water and eat it. Also, it is not hard like rock would be, but flexible. The algea growing on this Red Bait just makes it look like a rock. It is also a common food for natives living near the shores of South Africa. Really nothing to get excited about.
