#Suggestion Redo your entire series of Bobby Fischer since it fits in with your graphics upgrade. Many chess battles were part of his book: My 60 Most Memorable Frames - Per Second.
I've been noticing some things. How the hell your interface knows which squares you are gonna highlight before you do it? Is that a new upgrade as well? (2:37)(3:12)(7:31) Love your videos
Hikaru had in his preparation a line of 34 moves that was followed until a certain point in the game (he analyzed this game on his stream) where white is up a knight but black is up 3-4 pawns and has compensation, pretty amazing that GM's prepare at such level. His analysis was very informative, worth watching.

In case no one watched the last Caruana game, basically, Caruana blundered a winning position to a drawing position and then his opponent blundered the drawing position into a mating net
Excellent game. I don't have any chess friends where I live now so I've been getting my chess fix here on your very entertaining channel. I think I've watched a hundred videos in the past few weeks. This is like my new Netflix!
5:25 g3 was a much better line for white, it'd have been tough for black to push for a win, doubling up the pawns after taking the knight on g6, with white's rook and knight way more active and developed
As well as coming to your channel to learn more About chess I’ve been meaning to tell you you are one of the nicest human being that I have ever encountered so stay cool man ..and is everybody in Croatia is nice and cool as you because that would say a lot about your Country
6:35 -- Interesting endgame; at the beginning of this position, the engines basically rate it -0.95 or some such in favor of Black, but this should be ignored since his position is an *inexorable*, if glacially-paced, one, and he basically has to blunder in order to not win. It is therefore incumbent upon White to secure such a blunder. My first hunch was, "What if White just permits Black to eat all of his pawns while running his king up the right side of the board to shepherd his passed pawn?" (I.e., basically the opposite of what Akobian did, and we saw how badly that turned out.) Kf2, Rd2+ (engine quickly piles up -2.5 for Black) Kg3, Rxb2, Kh4, Rxa1, Kh5, Kg7 (engine screaming -3 to -4 for Black), Re4.... But wait, what's this!? After Re4, a whole raft of 0.00s spread up in the engine lines like a rash, and Black essentially has a solitary, non-obvious move to maintain a victory at this point: Rf2. If he does anything else (such as take the g-pawn now that it's undefended), he's in a drawn game at best. Let's see what happens if Black's greed continues, and he takes the pawn: Rxg2, Re7+, ...and the Black king has three moves, two of which lead to draws, and one of which leads to his being checkmated. If Rf2, then try g6. and if Black doesn't replyRf5+ (his only good move), the game will also lead to a draw or worse. If he does Rf5+, *then* White can resign.
(1). At 4:40 after 18. Rf3 you advise against 18..., fe5 19. Nxe5 because of 19..., Bh4 20. g3. But if 18..., fe5 19. Nxe5, Bxf4!. Or if 18..., fe5 19. Bxe5, Bxf4 20. Bxf4, Nxf4 transposing to the game..... (2). At 5:23 White SHOULD play 22. g3, as after 22..., Ng6 23. Bxg6, Rxf3 24. Bxh7+!, Kxh7 25. Rxf3 White is at least equal: If 25..., Bxh3?! 26. Rf7+ with 27. Rxc7
Why the move on 5:31 , if the white pieces push g3 kick the knight back to g6 , white bishop just grap the knight and the rook isnt being defensed ? That winning move for white ?
Hikaru's analysis was deeper and covered a lot of other lines, some in great detail. But it's a lot of work to follow - not as enjoyable as here but you get more of a feel for how the GMs think as they are playing these games. Naka had problems with his internet service in St. Louis too so there were a few outages. The Shankland match should be interesting too.
At 4:47, why should the black bishop move defensively? Capturing on f4 is a free pawn, no? Granted, the variation you showed gets an even better endgame, but capturing on e5 immediately certainly isn't as bad as you made it seem.
Akobian could have won by Rook to F4! at 9:35. Brilliant move! Then black takes A3 and White moves rook to G4 to escort his pawn down. Black B3 to move out of pawn's way, then the race is on! G6, A3, G7, A2, G8 and white has a queen. A1 and black has a queen. White Q takes rook and there is nothing for black to do here, and in this position, Nakamura resigns.
#suggestion. I think it would be excellent if you and Eric Rosen could find a way to collab a commentary on some live games. I’d pay to see the two of you commentate the next world championship.
5:28 is it safe or not??, because bxg6 rxf3 bxh2+ kxh2 and now rxh3.... here black will lose a pawn...??? I'm not getting it pls help pls comment @agadmator's chess channel
I like both these guys, but in this contest I leaned toward the Var side. There are lots and lots of GMs out there. There are none that can explain a position or a game better than Var. Here's wishing the best of luck to both these guys, and here's looking forward to more games analyzed by Mr Akobian. Whether he ever takes us through this particular game or not, I don't really care. Any game that he walks us through is something that's worth our time.
Hi ! Agadmator, I se no problem with fxe4 coming before Bxf4 because if fxe4 and then white plays Bxe4 or Nxe4 , black could just capture the f4 pawn with the bishop and the same position would have been reached.
Well there are some parastite in this video.I don't know it's about 60frame or not but it's a bit annoying.please fix them.maybe it's about you didn't go for that fixing"sorry about that"!
Akobian is a d4 expert naka said he might of been having a bad day cause he was slamming his pieces and the clock ive learnt alot from watching akobians lectures on youtube but the prep that naka done for this game was unbelievable check it out he says it in his analysis
At 5:28, you claim Ng6 is good, but it simply drops a pawn to B×g6 removing the defender of black rook , now if R×f3, white first takes on H7 with check and only then recaptures the Rook on f3, thus winning a pawn back
Can someone explain to me how the chart works? What does the “-“ mean in the chart? I’m guessing the 1/2 is a draw and the 1 is a win. So is the “-“ a loss?
@Joey Bishop If he could, He might do two videos per day .. It might be benefecial for both sides (Viewers and Promotor) although it requires extreme efforts. We have to wait I guess.
white blundered by weakening his king defence early on allowing Black to focus all his pieces towards his King...After playing Pawn H to H3 you must be carefull to pushpawn F to F4....white pushed it too early and was open for an attack he couldn't handle
At 9:47 .It was in this position that Akobian realised that Nakamura's pawns were moving down the board at 60fps and so he decided to resign the game
Congratulations, you are an excellent teller of 60fps jokes

You say at 5:25 that he can't go g3 because of knight g6 but that would be a blunder after Bxg3,. The best move would be Nxh3+, of course.
Yeah I struggled a bit to understand why knight would go back and started to doubt the move by white, but Kxh3+ is deadly ofc.

I play the video at .50 or .75 speed and it helps. I think 60 fps is just too fast for me.

4:49 why not bishop takes pawn on f4?

Hello everyone and welcome 👀
love the quote today!
Surely h3 by white is a mistake (not to mention a suboptimal opening for white)?
So when anything captures anything it’s called a capture, except for when a rook captures a pawn, then that’s called gobbling it up
Excellent end explanation

Agadmator, since you've gone 60 fps your interface do crazy things like showing for a tiny frame an arrow or a marked square.
