- With epithelial tissue and connective tissue down, it's time to learn about the third type of tissue, and that's muscle tissue. This makes up all the muscles in our bodies, and it comes in three types. Those are skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, and smooth muscle. Let's look at the similarities and differences between these types of muscle tissue now!

Hows Cardiac different from Smooth (other than cardiac being in the heart)?
Cardiac muscles are also striated and have more of a structure. Smooth muscles have its myofilaments scattered about the cell while cardiac muscle has it organized into sarcomeres.
I think.
On a very basic level, smooth muscles may rest but cardiac muscles can not rest.
We were taught the cardiac muscles are similar to skeletal muscles by the structure but we can't control it same as smooth muscles... so.. that's maybe about it..?
Very Good.👍😇
Thanks a lot bro .
I'm here because I'm having crush on our A&P teacher due to which I'm not able to focus on class and tomorrow is my exam:)
