Sanderson's excitement and passion compared to Issac's just calm and very passive demeanor is so funny to me. Getting more hyped for the books each day! Also those discworld editions were so classy!!!
The full color in-pages makes those hardcover books. Tbh I removed all the dust jackets cause I think they are a bit too much, but I love opening the books and seeing the gorgeous full color art in the first few bits.
Yeah. Leather bounds were what I wanted, but then I saw the price and after many weeks of deep contemplation, I decided I needed to be a responsible adult and consider my sad budget.
I would've loved leatherbounds, but all my books are currently sitting in bags around my apartment so... don't really have the space to show off books right now.
Don't worry, now we know that we have approximately 10 years to save for the leatherbound editions... When i heard that I almost gave to the tentation of expending my college money.
Whenever I see Isaac and Brandon on a stream together, I'm always struck by 2 things: first, that Isaac seems to be a lovely, mild-mannered person. Just a pleasant and well tempered individual. Second, that these two men are clearly very good friends, and Brandon really cares about him.
So cool! An idea: Is it possible to add another tier option to receive all four books at the end of the year and pay for shipping once? Especially for the folks outside the USA. Maybe the price is a little more to cover storage costs but probably still cheaper than four shipping payments.
They are already having problems now for finding enough storage for 1 book at a time right now, so unfortunately they can't store book 1 for a whole year. They said they are looking to alternatives for internationals for future projects, but for this one it can't be helped (i'm also international btw, would love that possibility to exist already too)
They said its not viable due to storage issues... bit of a shame but it is what it is, this project is a huge endeavour so its understandable... but now that theyve broken so many Kickstarted goals they might be able to sort that out
So so excited for the two-tone print, it really elevates the interior of the book. I remember opening the Warbreaker Leather-bound and being absolutely stunned by the chapter headers.
Would it be impossible to do a second printing of these hardcovers for international backers since with the current shipping most people can't afford getting them? I'm pretty sure most of us wouldn't mind if it would mean waiting another few months to arrange the extra printing/shipping and we would really really appreciate it.

It is not something you see a lot of, and it is so wonderful to see an author being willing to push those decisions to give his fans something a little extra.
I only listen to the books, but now you have me wishing I'd gone for the physical book. Glad to hear the colored illustrations will be in the eBooks so I won't miss out on seeing them.
The Discworld collector books are definitely some of my favorite designs so I'm VERY glad you guys were inspired by those. Can't wait to get my hands on them!!! :)
Agree, I would 100% get these books if it wasn't $140 for postage. That is just insane and not worth the cost. I look forward to reading these when they are in UK store shelves someday.

Seeing a lot of disappointment over the shipping from the international community and I was wondering about a possible solution: Could you add an option for the international community to have all 4 hardcovers shipped at the same time with the release of the 4th book to save on shipping for them? That artwork is made with linoleum cut printing, which isn't very often used anymore. 💙 I'm so beyond excited that these are getting upgraded! It just makes me that much more excited that I splurged and went for the highest tier. 😅

I have to admit I kinda would love for the books to be still titled Secret Project # whatever or for the coovers to be simply blank. Then the title is only revealed when the book is opened. It would’t work in practice probably but it’s my mental immage at least.

I love my Collector's Library Discworld books! They're wonderful and they're the first thing I thought of when I saw the teaser covers! I'm glad that the upcoming books won't be leatherbound since I wouldn't purchase things with real leather.
With E-books being a big option here is it possible to have not just illustrations but maybe an action sequence like a cartoon or something similar? Maybe similar to moving newspapers in Harry Potter.

@Tony Sawyer that's like $30 with shipping and production. I wouldn't expect anything that would be shipped. That's the benefit of the first 2 tiers, is no shipping and no production cost, so it's alot cheaper. Best I'd expected is they'll use the extra money for more art.
