There seems to be a piece of footage missing around 1:20:00 (halfway through Chapter 7). Brandon goes from "The engines would be masked so long as they stayed low among the hills" to "stern and dour, Nomad pegged him immediately as the man named 'Zeal'", with no mention of encountering any men.
It could be a gap in the audio recording. Or, since this is an early draft, a gap in the narrative that Brandon will fill in when he does a later draft.
I love the name "Adonalsium will Remember our plight eventually", but in my head I just call him A.W.R.O.P.E for short. I think Awrope is a cute name xD
He's probably had a LOT of time to practice his combat skills. Brandon did say in the Spoiler Stream that this story takes place in the same era as Sixth of the Dusk. So we're looking at centuries of time, at the very least....
@@jeffweskamp3685 Yeah its definitely exciting. Can't wait for all the subtle hints as to what happened in era 2 of stormlight for Sigzil to be where he is now

Just want to say thanks to Matt for editing and welcome him to the dragonsteel team! Happy to see Adam getting some support on the video side of things! But thanks to the whole Dragonsteel team also for putting this together so fast what with it not "being on the schedule".
Okay this is interesting. Just started it and it is a very different start to others. The fact that Nomad references a jet engine is a very interesting point
This literally left me with goosebumps! Amazing stuff and thank you so much! Storm light 5 is going to leave some of our favorites in a bad way I’m thinking. Off the top of my head I’m guessing that what happened to Sigzil saves Witt from Odium’s machinations.
“You’ve seen more of the Cosmere than me.” How does that even make sense? Hoid has been doing this for eons, Sigzil can’t have been doing it for that long. He says that he can’t return to Roshar because there are still people who live him there, so obviously it can’t be THAT long in the future.
It sounds like Sigzil has been jumping planets almost constantly in whatever time it’s been. Hoid tends to stick around for a while to get things done, from what we’ve seen.
@@haldalas yeah, but even if he stayed in each place for 10 years at a time that wouldn’t make a difference in the grand scheme. He’s thousands of years old.
I haven't finished yet, but he doesn't seem to need perpendicularities to move around, thus allowing him to go places that were previously unreachable. That's my guess atleast
@@buffasa1 He looked to Nomad, eyes twinkling. “Yet here I am. Eons later. Walking between the stars, learning each one. I got my answers, eventually. Yet...I’d guess that by now, you’ve seen more of the cosmere than even I have.” Hoid said it to Sigzil
So clearly from this we can see sigzil killed then slightly revived his Spren to get off roshar and use him in the field which makes me think what if someone got their hands on an honor blade and powered it with investagure like honor used to. Imagine the bond smith blade running around. And the torment reminds me of what szeth has so I think investiture can also empower/ activate it but it more or less acts much like the oaths do so it may be an outside force of investiture preventing him from fighting. EDIT; okay finished it he definitely has a dawnshard now this was just my hot take but also what if someone got the dust bringer honor blade and powered it up 0-0
The only reason I won't be using Adonalsiumwillrememberourplighteventually as a username for everything from here on out is because I'm fairly certain that won't fit on most platforms.
Harsh sunlight sounds a lot like Dayside Taldain though. I like that in the little bit I listened to (half of chapter 1) I was constantly doubting if it was Hoid's POV. The torment sounded quite like Hoid but much of the rest didn't. Turns out it's Sigzil. It fits well. I think Sigzil might've gotten his hands on Hoid's Dawnshard and now carries it. How much this will alleviate Hoid is the question but it creates some interesting interactions between different kinds of magic. I'm not yet certain if the spren died or if the name Torment is referencing more than just the inability for self defence or harming people in another way. If that's the dawnshard the magic could very well interplay with his spren bond and make in very hard if not impossible to conjure is shards. Never mind that it could possibly interfere with the connection, hence the oaths aren't as strong or it doesn't come through. Or the spren might actually be a dead eye like Shallan's 1st spren is. Poor thing. Which might've an impact on the ideals he's spoken and how the spren reacts. Of course theorizing on half a chapter when 10 are available might not be the smartest thing to do but I don't want to spoil myself plus I have a tad of a self control issue if I get far enough along in the story to get obsessed. And this is maybe one where one or two chapters might be enough to make that happen so I'll wait until the book is out.

Thanks again, Brandon! Appreciate all of your hard work.
I love the name "Adonalsium will Remember our plight eventually", but in my head I just call him A.W.R.O.P.E for short. I think Awrope is a cute name xD
"Lopen can you get us a rope?" "I got a cousin for that" Returns with Awrope
@@LordMekenshi please, Awrope + Lopen novella
Adonalsium Will Remember Our Plight Eventually is my favorite name ever.
Brandon's narration gets a bit better every Video
I really, really like how Sigzil has went from being not the best in combat to being Kaladin levels of combat capable.
Can't wait for all the subtle hints as to what happened in era 2 of stormlight for Sigzil to be where he is now
I can't do audiobooks at all, the experience of it is just wholly incompatible with my person, I have to read. But I just sat through the Stormlight 5 prologue and then this back to back in one go, 3 hours and loving every second of it. You're a literal and literary genius.
Just want to say thanks to Matt for editing and welcome him to the dragonsteel team! Happy to see Adam getting some support on the video side of things! But thanks to the whole Dragonsteel team also for putting this together so fast what with it not "being on the schedule".
"Never skimp on footwear."
True for multi-dimensional travelers, true for all of us.
I liked the little sneak peak of the Planet you constantly need to move around on, from yesterday's podcast
Okay this is interesting. Just started it and it is a very different start to others. The fact that Nomad references a jet engine is a very interesting point
Is this person a Windrunner of the 5th ideal? Is that why they can’t harm anyone?
Edit: nvm, Brando answered that question in the end
I knew that I would like this one the most. I love it! So much sci-fi fantasy Cosmere world-building.
Yeah injure you would too
Waiting for this book will wear my soul thinner than a Herald's.
Oh yeah! Just finished TWoK, and Sigzil's story is a great bonus point.
Hurry up and finish WoR etc! It only gets better, which is insane but true.
minor spoilers i guess xD
This literally left me with goosebumps! Amazing stuff and thank you so much! Storm light 5 is going to leave some of our favorites in a bad way I’m thinking. Off the top of my head I’m guessing that what happened to Sigzil saves Witt from Odium’s machinations.
Awesomeness!! Thanks for all of these!!!!!
Sounds brilliant my guy! I am looking forward to this! I appreciate the puritan names
I'm glad this was my first intro into this arch.. or into nomad.. or sigzils life...
What a great concept
?? Sigzil said that line to hoid. Not vice-versa
@@buffasa1 He looked to Nomad, eyes twinkling. “Yet here I am. Eons later. Walking between the stars, learning each one. I got my answers, eventually. Yet...I’d guess that by now, you’ve seen more of the cosmere than even I have.”
Hoid said it to Sigzil
Auxiliary is just Fantasy Jarvis, and I love it.
And this is what I've been waiting for!
Thank you for all this content
not too long before this actually comes out now. Oct here we come
So clearly from this we can see sigzil killed then slightly revived his Spren to get off roshar and use him in the field which makes me think what if someone got their hands on an honor blade and powered it with investagure like honor used to. Imagine the bond smith blade running around. And the torment reminds me of what szeth has so I think investiture can also empower/ activate it but it more or less acts much like the oaths do so it may be an outside force of investiture preventing him from fighting. EDIT; okay finished it he definitely has a dawnshard now this was just my hot take but also what if someone got the dust bringer honor blade and powered it up 0-0
Wasn’t it mentioned that Sig has a dawnshard now???
Specifically it sounds like he has _Hoid's_ dawnshard. At least, that's what it sounded like to me...
i'm not sure if having an honour blade of a particular order, be it dead or revived, gives you acces to this orders surges...
@@arcuscerebellumus8797doesn’t it? Isn’t that how szeth flew in way of kings?
@@aidanchilton7899 uh... I confused honorblades with shardblades at the time... Just ignore it %)
I'm calling it, Nomad is some kind of future Sigzil
I would love that!
Did you skip to the end too?!
@@JoséRVFlores is it true?!
@@kvothe5824 he talks about it at the end =)
@@JoséRVFlores yup
"...let me tell you a story."
Oh yes please!
I'm so looking forward to this book
The only reason I won't be using Adonalsiumwillrememberourplighteventually as a username for everything from here on out is because I'm fairly certain that won't fit on most platforms.
That's strange, the text for project four doesn't appear to be present on the website.
Adam here. It should be up now.
@@BrandSanderson thank you!
Sigzil is the main???
I'll read anything stormlight related
And this is maybe one where one or two chapters might be enough to make that happen so I'll wait until the book is out.
i know it would be extra work for him, but i would buy the audiobooks if brandon read them
@@nexypl idk what narrator strategy has to do with him reading his own book, and i did try to acknowledge that it likely would not be time he would choose to spend. personally, i don’t often enjoy book narrators, and i have enjoyed listening to him read these 4 beginnings. i was just expressing my opinion. thanks for the feedback.
This one is next up!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's happening! IT'S HAPPENING! Everyone stay calm. STAY STORMING CALM! -me after realizing when this story is set and who's in it
can you tell me where it is and who it is cause i dont like to listen to audiobooks :/
@@RobinsMusic I don't want to spoil it for you. The way it's written, you're supposed to piece it together over the first few chapters. I think you can read what he reads in the video on his website somewhere if you don't like to listen.
With that as a warning, I'll give some spoiler dots and then tell you.

Lol. When you’re 13 minutes late due to drafting and you’re already over 2k behind from being first. I love this!
I’m crying tears of joy- I’m so embarrassed to fan girling out like this. Brando.. I adore you & your mind!
STORMING STORM THIS STORMING WAIT!!
In 10 chapters no more and you had my tears once again. Anxious for Stormlight 5.
I had initially guessed this book would be about Teft
. . . wrong windrunner!
edit: warning, RoW spoilers in the replies below
RIP Teft, we miss you!
@@crt5866 wtf????? spoilers?
skips to the end to find out that Nomad is Sigzil. Finds out its set after SA5, eyes bulge.
Edit: So, the night has come to Roshar and at least Sigzil's spren is mostly dead. Though there are still people who love Sigzil that are alive back on Roshar. Sigzil's brain thinks it's possible for Kaladin to appear in a storm, and "the cosmere was saved." Also it sounds like Sigzil went to Ashyn, though this is not Ashyn. Did I miss anything?
Set after SA5 but meant to be read before SA5… Storms!
Dude! You have such intresting ideas!!! Im so glad they exist now!!! 🤯🤯🤯😎😎🤗🤗
I wonder when we'll ever see the Dawnshard audiobook
Nice story! This almost sounds like a combination between Mortal Engines and The Wandering Earth.
im sure we'll get a ton of answers in the book but im super curious to see what on roshar made sigzil drop proper etiquette. like bad boy sigzil is sick but im curious. Im sure the Kal/Wit thing had plenty to do with it, but it would be awesome if sigzil could get to be an actual worldsinger
My heart dropped when I realised it was Sig. Poor guy. I'm intrigued though, because Sigzil's spren in ROW was female.
Sigzil seems to now be bonded to the cognitive shadow (basically a ghost) of a dead Knight Radiant.
@@jeffweskamp3685 I remember sig referring to aux as a spren at one point, if a dead one. Could a dead knight radiant be termed a spren?
@@landonrickard3318 Yeah, Brandon has said that what we would call a "ghost" in our world would be called a "spren" on Roshar. He also said once that it would be possible for somebody to bond a Threnodite shade in the same way as a spren.
