I may be biased, but Vietnamese food is truly the best. There's typically always a side of greens or some vegetable to help keep each dish taste fresh!
As somebody who enjoys a lemongrass tofu banh mi every now and again, that sandwich was severely lacking in the tofu department. I know the order is for extra carrots but that might as well have just been all carrots lmao
@@whyyes6428 You took this way too fucking personally lmao. I literally just said that there wasn't enough tofu on that sandwich. For the sake of those around you, please seek therapy
Me too! They ruined the noodle bowl tasting for her since they mistakenly didn't put the sauce on her noodles. They should have served the sauce on the side, like it cones, and tell them to put it on the salad to their liking in order to optimise the tasting.
I think what she meant was that beef pho has too much of a raw meat taste (I have the same opinion and I dated a vietnamese girl so I tried to like pho a lot of times.) Its weird because I like my steaks medium rare, but the beef in pho has too much of a game-y taste to it. Haven't had pho in a while though, so maybe I could give it another try LMAO.
Vietnamese pho for the win!! Add a side of crispy rolls or fresh spring roll, lots of siracha and hoisin. My best friend and I would eat this weekly when we got together
I miss Zeta in these recent videos, there's no one to point out "where's the saooouuuse!" (I know she's been in the drive-thru challenge videos, but common, she needs to be here as well ;-D)
Tom: You need some f*cking meat I'm just eating carbs sauce and carrots and tofu *Tom's Order*: Carbs and carrots and tofu and sauce... + spring roll. Be better Tom.
Sohan makes such a good point about pho broth. Some places it's okay but like when you find a place that makes it well you won't order it from anywhere else!
I live in a pretty small new england town with like no diversity but we have legit the best pho place here and their broth is SO good. it's delicious and the rice noodles are just flawless. I've made all my friends try it and now they're just as obsessed as I am 😭 once you find that place you can never go back!
I love Vietnamese food. I get bbq chicken and rice with cucumber and lettuce on the side plus the tub of sauce.. even plain rice is somehow more delicious from viet takeaway. It's comfort food from a place I've never even been 😙🤌
I am Vietnamese, love the food, obviously a bit biased, but banh mi, damn that banh looked sad. That banh mi was real heavy on the carrots and not enough meat, coriander, chilli, cucumber etc I don't blame them for calling it a carrot sandwich.
Love Vietnamese food! Definitely a bit too much carrot in that Banh Mi. Does Sohan know you can get vegetarian Pho? I get a delicious one that has tofu, mushrooms and veggies.🙂 My favourite dish is Vietnamese pancake/crepe (Banh Xeo). Made from rice flour and turmeric, which gives it the yellow colour. Filled with tasty, fresh ingredients. 🤤
I'm pro vegan and pro vegetarian. But a carrot sandwich? As we say in Brooklyn, NY-"You Straight Up Buggin'!" LOL Sybil you're adorable, but Tom I'm with you on this one!
I know this video is kind of old but if you want a bit more veg content going on in your pho i like to add a lot of onions, cilantro, green onions, bean sprouts, basil, mint and lime. it really adds some color and a lot more complexity and texture to pho you gotta have it all.
Can you order more than 1 thing?? I would have ordered a banh xeo and BBH with a 3 colour drink. Or bo la lot and bun cha ha noi with an avocado smoothie. Or something with mam. Viet food has so much variety, texture and flavours!
The one who’s order was a tofu bahi mi had the most sass. No one ordered the shrimp cup wraps I don’t know the name of them and or the fried egg roll style noodle roll you wrap and serve it with nuoc cham. Yea okay.
Not many authentic Vietnamese restaurants in East Texas. Pho is the only traditional dish I’ve tried and it’s by far the BEST soup I’ve ever had. (I’ve tried multiple types of meat and Veggie variations)
Ahhhh, I always get a bit annoyed when people comment a vegetarian meal needs meat to be good, and I'm not even vegetarian. Pork Bahn Mi is good, but I love a tofu one too.
Love vietnamese food. The french/asian combination is just stellar. A vegetarian sandwich however, I can do without. A vegetarian soup or noodles, sure, but a sandwich? no
I love how salty Tom is about the "carrot sandwich"
Well, he was right.
That sandwich is depressing
Well who eats a carrot sandwich?
@@capricornqueen6916 bro yall dont know banh mi at all if u just think its a "carrot sandwich", its actually pretty good try it urselves
@@unclemoon9605 I've had banh mi, that's a carrot sandwich
Toms commentary on Sybils choice legit made me LOL. 😄
Tom: ew no veggies = gross I need meat to be happy
Also Tom: so here’s my vegetarian order
If you listen to what he says, he's talking about meat in a banh mi, and in that context, not that he thinks veggies are gross.
This exactly if I didn’t find a this comment I was gonna make one
@@Blitze9792 oh okay, well right on then. The context clearly flew over my head 😂🤷🏻♀️
@@Blitze9792 I mean it doesn't have to have meat, but the tofu definitely needs work or else you're just eating a salad roll
He said that holding bread and carrots with mayonneise, of course he would want a meat to step it up
Sybil is so cute! "Hi I'm beef!" 🤣
Also, I can't believe there were no fresh spring rolls!
Spring rolls were the second one?
@@deb8105 I think they mean the “fresh” version- a fresh rice wrapper with shrimp, basil, carrots inside and served cold. Both are great!

What he said: Vietnamese food is soooo flavourful!
What my brain heard: The enemy's food is soooo flavourful!
Took a sec to process the accent lmao
SAMEEEE! I was like “WHO?!?!” 😅
LMAO same literally googled why is Vietnam an enemy of Australia
Mate, I’m Aussie and I thought he said “ the enemy’s food is flavourful”!😂
I came to comments coz I heard the enemy’s food and thought surely he didn’t say that.

😂😂 @ Tom eating the Vietnamese carrot 🥕 sandwich 🥪😂😂. He wasn’t impressed @ all. 😂

As somebody who enjoys a lemongrass tofu banh mi every now and again, that sandwich was severely lacking in the tofu department. I know the order is for extra carrots but that might as well have just been all carrots lmao

Tom was awesome in this. His order looked amazing.
