People who mock tea drinkers because "how do you have energy without caffeine?!" make me giggle. 8oz of black tea still has about half the caffeine as 8oz of black coffee. The moment you get something like a latte, which is more frothed milk than coffee, you get about the same if not less caffeine from that then by drinking the same amount of black tea. Chocolate also has caffeine as well as some chewing gums, energy drinks, things containing guarana, most teas (actually from tea plants i.e.- green tea, oolong tea, etc.), yerba mate, kombucha, many soft drinks and even some pain relief medications. The point is you can get plenty of caffeine without ever touching coffee.
This is almost right, but tea only has as much caffeine if you were to literally eat the tea leaves. It depends how you brew it, but brewed black tea has significantly less caffeine than brewed coffee.
