A simple beautiful song ruined by divisive discordance

Oh dear,the "Olympic Wave" effect strikes again!
Too large a choir for this piece(Purcell) and the beautiful melody gets completely lost.
Why have a piano,it would have been better with just the choir.
Now I have stumbled ot the Nymphs piece,and it's worse than the Purcell.
It's not bad singing,just too many singing and poor choir teaching.
