The poem is so famous that it has been set to music many times, but none has been more uplighting or exquisite than that by Canadian composer Eleanor Daly, a human gem that we are fortunate to have in our midst. Congratulations to Dr. Karen Frederickson and the Queen's ensemble, as well, for an exquisite performance.
Wow, amazing!! The power of this piece when sung by a choir of that size is phenomenal. We are singing it in my chamber choir on Rememberance Day for the second year in a row and I cannot wait. It is so gorgeous.
In Flanders Field is a extremely famous and noted poem written by the Canadian surgeon lt.Col John McCrea. He died of pneumonia before the War ended in january of 1918.
This song is amazing,it sounds so beautiful when it is acapella and directed well. we sung this same arrangement last year at coral festival and got a superior, its alot of fun to hear all parts come together in this song all in all it is a beasty song. great job on the vocal parts.
@phantomluvkid "Happy" isn't a term I would choose to describe Veteran's day. Instead, it is a day of thoughtful remembrance of the sacrifices made by our countries to protect our liberty.
Man whatever that high pitch screeching is coming from is annoying. Hard to appreciate the beauty of this song when my ears are constantly being assualted by that sound. From what I can tell is that this is a very beautiful cover but just a tad slow for my tastes.
Very different from the classic version. This seems almost like a church hymn. It is not exactly fitting for the subject, it feels very janky and out of context. I don't really like their performance.
Lovely poem, but I really didn't enjoy this arrangement. Inconsistent pacing and pausing / emphasis in locations you wouldn't find if you're simply reading it.

Poignant, striking, emotional. The deep voices add a very grave, somber and even, dare I say, sepulchral beauty.
This was the version we always sang. much more solemn and signified in a minor.
Absolute Perfection and Joy - Eleanor Daley -Thank You and to Queen's - Keep Singing!!!
Gave me shivers!! Amazing and beautiful!

I’m trying to find the version that my school sang. It’s like the normal one but at a lower key. Almost sounding medieval
This was so haunting
I still can't find the version of this poem in song I'm looking for, but this one is far superior to all others I've found, so far.
i am searching for one that goes “we shall not sleep, year after year, making all our lives complete…”
This was always the version we sang. much more dignified and solemn.
This is amazing; especially without the music in it.

Wow that was amassing
is it just me or there's a continuous high-pitched noise throughout this performance?
Wher I live it's called Remembrance day.
cuz we did the song to day
@iamys5277 Too high of frequency, but the camera picked it up.
0:36 to get to the music.
that was great but It was a lot slower than I expected.
This is Eleanor Daley's version.
Amazing*
WOW :)
who is the composer/arranger of this piece?
Jesus loves you
Good cover, emotional, haunting, but I like the original better. The power of the original makes me feel more inspired and I enjoy it more.
+Stephanie K The original is a poem - I think you're referring to another musical rendition?

Maybe some sound engineer can solve that problem of high-pitch screeching sound.
*sigh* If only I could do it.
Briseur De Lance, this arrangement is in a very high key. The Sopranos did an admirable job.
Beautiful. It put more emphasis on the singers than the lyrics, which isn't so good with this song, but was executed well anyways.
Somehow pitch sagged an entire half-step
it needs to be fast
Very good except they went flat
Yes, just enjoy it!
Good job overall but the vowels need to be rounder.......
Jesus loves you ❤ Read the Bible

Curious which version you think of as "standard." Please check out mine. David Colwell.
