this is the finest, finest recording of this song on youtube. from the tempo, the swell and decrescendos, the unified pronunciation and tone... wonderful.

When I hear this I feel proud to be Flemish. And also proud to be an anglophile.
I know the poem In Flanders' Fields by heart, but fantastic that the poem also has a song version. And the song version of this choir is the best I could find on RUclips. WOW! Je word er stil van!
My granddad was a soldier in the first world war.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
    In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

i got introduced to this song from extra credits when they did a series of videos about WWI. as soon as i heard the song, which they played during the end credits, i stuck around to listen to it because of how beautiful it was. This is the most touching rendition of the piece i have heard. you guys did an absolutely bang up job!

Damn this song hits right in the feel for both the music and what it represent as a French man I have to say the first world War is both the worst and most pointless war ever waged and probably one of the worst atrocities in human history millions of soldiers died on the battlefields for the pride and the ego of the ones at the top. The war wasn't about taking territories nor religious it was about who was the strongest it's a war that had no winners no matter what history says no war needs to have so much slaughter for such egotistical reasons. The war had many nam: "the great war", "The war to end all war"... I prefer to call it the seminal catastrophe when you see what led to it.

PS: it's a damn shame that the only thing looked at as the reason of the war is the assassination of Franz Ferdinand it's so much more complicated than that
      Awsome singing by the way

Prachtig!
