I was super impressed with your video. Especially how efficiently you were packed, but not overpacked, and still had everything you needed. The food you cooked looked great too, and with only a few simple ingredients you made a great meal. Something not easy to do while camping. Your tent/cot setup was something I'd never seen before and it's perfect for what you do. It's comfortable, protects from wind and rain and keeps you off the ground, yet packs very small. I see something similar on Amazon but when it's packed up the bag is 4 feet long. Too long! Now I want one! I'll have to check out more of your vids. Great work.

Wow! Thanks for the positive feedback and detailed comment! If I'm honest, it's taken awhile to get more efficient at packing. I've traded out a lot of my camping gear since the first videos and still end up bringing a few extra pieces (mostly cooking and sometimes a tarp) that don't always end up in the video since I never know what the conditions are going to ultimately be - rain, wind, etc; like you said. I've only recently picked up the tent cot (RedCamp is the brand, though it's been out of stock for a couple months now), but it's worked out great so far. I enjoy cooking at home and like to eat well, plus it makes for better content. I follow quick, home, 15-minute, 1-pan, cooking channels like @prohomecooks to get easy, but delicious dish ideas. I've saved one of your videos to check out when I can watch until the end. -Best

Nice! I have to say I was left wanting more, which is a good thing. The only portion I didn't understand was the drone takeoff just prior to coffee that just ended abruptly. I was hoping you were going to show some overhead views of the beautiful countryside with tasteful musical accompaniment - and then ...nothing. Very entertaining overall. Please keep going like this. The word will get out and your channel will grow. DK

David, thanks for the detailed comment as usual! Wanting more: Still working out what the best video length is. My first few videos were longer/more activities, but I wasn't getting the retention I was hoping for so I started to reduce the length to make the videos more approachable. However, despite the solid views and flattering comments, this video is getting really low retention/view time as well. Drone: it's not lost on me that a few more shots would have been good there. I ran into some technical difficulties with the drone while on the camp and ended up with limited drone shots. I opted to spread them out over the video instead of consolidating where you mentioned. Anyway, working it out. When I'm out on adventures there is little I can do to fix technical aspects due to time and power constraints to get additional shots.

Superb content, one of the best (if not the best) moto camping channels I think. I thought this was the first time viewing your channel but I see I'm already subscribed so have obviously watched one before, I will now go back and watch them all. Appreciate the time and effort you put in - camera shots are excellent. That pasta looked amazing! :-) and I like the idea of that cot/tent to get up off the cold ground. Greetings from New Zealand. That looks like a private campsite? Are you friends with the landowner?

@@hoozleup I'm flattered by your comment! Vey motivating. The truth is, I have no prior experience with photography/videography. I ride and camp in my free time anyway, so decided to start recording after seeing the other channels in this niche. It's nice that despite it being a 12 minute video, that someone recognizes all the work that goes in. I'm learning quickly that planning, producing/recording, editing, etc solo is a time consuming and challenging task. check out @prohomecooks for quick, easy, but delicious dishes. it's where I got the pasta dish from. I'm really enjoying this tent cot. it's from RedCamp, but been out of stock for a few months now. Unfortunately, here in Brazil, wild camping is not that common, especially where motorized vehicles are allowed and for safety reasons. Though I have done it a few times, such as my previous video, "City Escape" (sorry for the plug). This campsite is actually a large family farm and nature reserve. It's open to the public, but not the easiest to get to without 4x4 or dualsport moto, so there's not many people, plus it's so big that you can find your own private space anyway.

Thanks man! The locked off shots were on a Sony A6400 with kit lens, action shots - Gopro Hero 9 and DJI Spark. Not the best gear, but it's what I have access to at the moment. Looking to get a Lumix G95. What about you? Which cameras do you use?

@@1trip1story I just saved one of your videos to watch later tonight when I have time to watch it until the end! I like the picture quality of this Sony (borrowed), but not having in body stabilization is a deal breaker for me. Can't do anything by hand. I don't recall if the z series has or not. Also, Sony compatible lenses are quite expensive...where I live everything costs 2 to 3x what it costs in dollars or euros. I have tried a Lumix GH5 and really liked it, but I don't need all the functionality, costs double the g95 and it's big. g95 has the same sensor as the gh5 so that's why I will get that one. also micro 4/3 lens are much cheaper and smaller.
