Fascinating to watch ✨🔥 The tent and stretcher combo is brilliant! 🤌 🎯💗
Hi Emily, thanks for coming back to watch! I hadn't heard from you in awhile! I'm glad you enjoyed! Not going to lie, the rough weather wasn't actually in the forecast so presented some interesting unforseen challenges. Tent: though I still didn't end up putting the Scrambler inside the tent since I had to do all my activities inside, it's the mix and match moto tent that I've pieced together with local / accessible items since I can't get the "dedicated" moto camping tents here in Brazil without spending a small fortune.
You are an inspiring and industrious human 🥳 l’ve been tied up with work commitments and too tired to watch RUclips lately but was delighted to get away in my van this weekend and catch-up on everything l’ve missed. If all goes according to plan l will have a rack attached to the back for my Triumph and take it with me across Australia 🚐💨💨
Thanks as always for the adventurous and creative content 🏍✨❤
@@emiilywiin trunk rack for my motorcycle is perhaps the best purchase I have made in the past year. I really like it and so much easier / compact for 1 person to work with than any other option I have found. Couple of suggestions, if I may... not sure what brands / models you have in Oz, but suggest one that has some piece that locks the front wheel into place and that the ramp is stored on the unit itself when you are driving (pivot or just attaches) vs one that you have to put the ramp in the car.
...looking forward to your trans Oz content on YT! ;)
❤👏👏👏
Novo inscrito , abraço Brasil !!!
Opa! valeu irmão!
Nice. I am wondering three things: Your impressions of the camp cot as far as space it takes on the bike and comfort it provides vs the more conventional air mattress arrangement; what was that you were eating along with the banana/ bread combo, it looked good; what type of wild bird was that who ventured into the camp site? Oh, and any progress on selecting a new bike?
David! always love your questions which allow for interesting interaction!
1. Camp Cot: my preference is to sleep up higher/off the ground so there's some personal/qualitative value for me vs just the space/weight question. Also, when I'm with only the tent cot it gives me additional protected storage space underneath. I actually had bought a hanging storage bin to go underneath as well, but it didn't arrive before my "mule" came back from the US to Brazil with my goodies. There also side hanging storage options and I'm going to try the cot as seating, no chair soon. I also prefer a firmer sleeping system, including my bed at home. However, I did just buy an inflatable mattress (though I don't like the wholly air feel, nor the plasticky surface) since it's getting "cold" here and the insulation R value of the air mattress is better than the cot and takes up very little space. I will probably end up using them together. In my early videos I was using a padded, self inflating air mattress which is roughly the same size as just cot when both are rolled up. approx. 50cm L x 15cm W x 15cm H. Though the cot is much heavier than the padded air mattress. In the end, it's good for certain situations, but every gear selection has + and -. I hope that answers your question, but feel free to respond back if there is something else you'd like to know.
2. Sandwich: was banana, cinnamon, and brazilian coalho cheese on a multigrain french roll. I wrote in the subtitles, but I know you watch without ;). The cheese is firm, similar to haloumi which grills to a crust on the outside, but still maintains it's shape. If you ever visit brazil, there's always a guy toasting it over hot coals and selling it on a skewer to beachgoers. It's good with honey and sriracha hot sauce!
3. Bird: is called a Siriema. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seriema
4. Bike: With the exception of the T7, the other options I'm interested are available, but hard to come by, especially since all are older and sometimes in questionable shape, but I'm always on the lookout. The japanese 650s, which are the comfortable option for me, including DR stopped selling here in 2000, plus I'd have to mule all the accessories from the US so not easy logistically. The BMW and KTM only come around a few times a year and I'm concerned about parts (everything costs 2 to 3x what it costs in USD$ here). The T7 was announced by Yamaha Brazil this year, but still hasn't landed. So still kind of in limbo.
What kind of bicycle type? Suzuki dr 650? Not found perhaps older modells.
The base motorcycle is an XF 650 which is a faired version of the DR. However, it's been totally custom built into the Scrambler it is today. I did a video about the custom motorcycle build where you can see more details, if interested. ruclips.net/video/G3CTPm6FrHo/видео.html
did you get that collapsible stick stove from temu? ive been eyeing it up tbh LUL
Hi Kristian, thanks for watching! Here's my Amazon US link to the stove: amzn.to/3XAceBY though looking at your profile you might be in Hong Kong. Should be able to get on Shopee, Aliexpress, or similar if so.
