I gotta watch some REAL Japanese moto camping videos. :) Not sure if I'm authentic Japanese enough at this point... If you have recommendations, I'd (and I'm sure others) love to know!
@@garactacle To be honest, no I cannot reccommend any particular Japanese moto vlogger, simply because there is usually no speech and/or in Japanese! They just seem to have a nack of filming/editing and using beautiful and innovative gear. Some of them also cook up lovely looking Japanese food. You just have to search and see what comes up. I like Harley's so I search for that along with Japanese/moto camping.
Another great video! Great to see tool watches being used as tool watches. I know you've handled lots of watches but how does the 14060 stand in terms of robustness against newer watches?
Thank you! My father who was a diving instructor (and surfer, skateboarder, skier, horse rider etc) used the heck out of this watch until something got dislodged inside. So ya, you can knock something out of its place if you use hard enough I guess. I don't know what he was doing when that happened. I had my watchmaker overhauled the movement when the watch came to me (very first service in 20 years), and I've never had any issues riding, diving, hiking and camping with the 14060. I guess I'm not hardcore enough...
Man seeing you cook something so good looking (and tasting I'm sure) while camping makes me want to see you in a proper kitchen 😂. Regarding the toughness of watches, I don't believe they are easy to damage by vibration while on wrist, as your body absorbs most of not all of the dangerous high frequency vibration. It's knocks and falls that screw them up in my experience.
I'm with you on the watch toughness against moto riding. Like you said, your body will be absorbing much of high frequency vibration. I toured 1000k+ miles at a time through mountain roads, high speed freeway and even some unpaved wearing mechanical watches without any problems.
@@garactacle oh yeah, I've done about 10k kms off road on a single cylinder and my trusty skx didn't miss a beat... I know the watch will be fine, but when I put a scratch on that new titanium Grand Seiko? I will cry for months 🤣🤣🤣
One of my favorite Instagramers made a RUclips?! Let’s go
Thank you so much for the encouragement. Another video dropping tomorrow. :)
The Japanese seem to have a cool way of doing RUclips videos, especially moto camping. Love all the gear too.

I get more scratches from doing dishes than a multi-day moto touring and diving in kelp forest. LOL.
Good trip 🔥🤠👌
Always!
very nice
Thank you so much! New video dropping today.
Nice to meet another Lefty who wears his watch on his dominant hand.
Glad you noticed that. :D
