SO PROUD to see how much your channel has grown over the years & how dedicated you are to your craft, all while staying true to yourself & ALWAYS keeping it real. Seeing you attending these conventions and getting early access isn't just a win for you, it's a win for every fan who's been on this journey with you. Keep on rocking, bro. 🤘
As a yoga teacher, now that you've said what the kill was involving...I'm nervous, lol I had a really hard time at looking at the small clips of Infested here so I can only imagine what the actual movie would do. I may have to do it in short intervals.
'You're spending 40% of this movie just following this killer through the woods and tsh tsh tsh tsh tsh tsh' LOL That really tickled me for some reason 😂
You and I have vastly different taste in movies, but you’ve cultivated such a great culture on your channel that I can’t miss an upload. It’s like comfort food. I respect your views and opinions and listening to you relaxes any anxiety.
IDK I been finding myself agreeing with Cody lately! It was his initial take that Remake TCM is better then OG TCM that I reallllly really REALLLLY disagreed with. But otherwise, I been kinda agreeing with him a lot!
@@AGETheGawdYT oh I agree with so much of what Cody says. I just mainly watch different types of movies. For instance, I’m not a superhero movie fan. But I will watch every one of Cody’s videos on superhero movies even if I have no intention of watching said movie. Just because I like listening to Cody and think he makes earnest and valid points.
I'll be honest while I appreciate vidoes like this...they drive me up a wall, cause the movies I'm genuinely interested in I can't watch after finding out about them. It blue balls the shit outta me...
@@CodyLeachYT Haha, I Know. I'm not hatin on you makin them. Just venting some of that blue ball frustration that I have to wait to see them. Prob is I watch a lotta stuff and can't stand a lot of certain "modern" (😉) crap so I run out of watch material. End up either thirsty for quality new stuff, or just stuck rewatching quality old stuff. I'm on my second cycle of Sopranos, Dexter, Stranger Things, Breaking bad...this year alone. Not including all the movies. Still too painful to go back to Games of Thrones...after the disaster of the final 2 seasons (mostly final season)...I'm still in mourning.
@Cody of course you would do a list of what you saw :D, and Bless you for always doing so. Hope was good to be back with the Mrs and family. Best wishes, much appreciation
Great video, some interesting movies coming our way. I'm well up for Cuckoo and Abigail, loved me Barbarians so if Cuckoo is close to that I'll be happy and I'm a massive fan of Ready or Not and if Abigail is as much fun as that was then bring it on!
Omg I literally commented yesterday on your Sting review that you should check out Vermines! I’m glad to see you enjoyed it overall; that third act sequence you mentioned was also my least favorite part of the movie, but the rest really gets under your skin!
Can't wait to see Abigail ! The trailer looked really fun but now with it being the top movie on your list... oh yes I'm in! The Infestation movie? oh boy, gonna be hella scary for me - but hey more reason I should see it lol
Hey Cody thanks man this video was awesome I love these kind of vids. I definitely wanna watch them all. Ur top 2 sound so good. That heist time traveling sound interesting. 🤘
Can't wait to check out cuckoo and abigail. Hunter Schaefer is great in anyhring she's in. Huge fan of Fright Night and The Lost Boys so cant wait for Abigail next weekend, great video.
Wow!! I was raised in New Orleans and I went to Prytania private school waaaay down on Prytania st in the 70s I didn’t even know that theatre was still around.. Hope u had a great time In the city!♥️
It doesn't come out until December, but Nosferatu might be a contender for vampire movie of the year. And there is another Dracula movie that is also supposed to come out this year, but i don't have much info about that one
You were talking about jump scares while I noticed the figure lurking behind you, and started waiting for the payoff. And it never came! Then I got concerned, like "Is this guy poking a gun into Cody's back and forcing him to do this video?" IS IT NIC CAGE???? Thanks for confirming the quality of the ones that were already on my radar and mentioning some that weren't!
I don't think that was the truth what the directors said about wanting to piss people off - I think that was them being defensive because they were unable to handle any criticism.
Hearing the stuff from A Violent Nature reminds how folks make people stuff that they know people will get pissed that it scratches your head to why they fo that since it only makes the audience avoid their next projects. If they wanted to try to show the classic 80s slasher films take notes from Tucker and Dale and The Final Girls
@@kevsplitterskull3209 I remember that one, at 1st i thought we were expecting like a grindhouse type with a killer tire killing everyone in sight but it was so weird especially with people who are there watching and this guy trying to kill them by using poison on their drinks
Monkey man was decent but forgettable and overrated Also woke garbage 60% of the way through the film The first omen was good not great pretty predictable film too tbh
I went to see Immaculate this past weekend and the Cuckoo trailer came on, wasn’t fully sold on it but if you like it this much I’ll give it a watch for sure
Excellent video per usual. Love you dude. The director’s explanation for In A Violet Nature frankly makes me mad. Hollywood constantly churns out terrible movies and it is very exhausting and disappointing. Independent movies get a chance to give viewers refreshing and engaging materials. I’m not buying it at all when he says, “we did it on purpose.” Sure you did. There are passionate filmmakers who could have made it great.
Im so hyped for cuckoo and your thoughts on the movie only excites me more. Gonna go in lower expectations for a violent nature fs bc it sounds like that 30-40% of the movie is really boring. Also I saw that cuckoo is supposed to come out May 3rd not august.
Infested is the only joint on this list I’m really looking forward to, apparently the director was hired on to direct the next Evil Dead so that has me even more optimistic, on top of just loving a good spider horror.
I think it's okay to make artistic choices that you feel are right, even if you know a certain percentage of the audience will dislike those choices. That said, making artistic choices that you know the audience will dislike BECAUSE they will dislike them is a different matter entirely. The latter seems needlessly trollish to me. Still excited for In A Violent Nature, but not pleased with the filmmaker's explaination.
I watched Infested a week ago and my main take away from the movie was how much I hated Kaleb!!! I wanted him to die! Never have I ever been so pissed off by a main character before. Maybe, I wasn't paying enough attention to the movie, but I didn't get the animosity between the group and the cops towards the end, like the police are trying to contain the infestation and that one guy purposely charges the cop and crashes through the doorway, allowing the spiders free. WTF was the logic there?
I second these other comments talking abt reacting to the maxxxine trailer like you did deadpool 3 if not I understand you might wanna go in as blind as you can but you should give a review for the first omen it’s a great horror movie and the second best in the franchise easily anyways love your reviews man keep it up and rock on brother 🤘
I kind of wish i didn’t know that now about the In Violent Nature director now because that level of smugness towards fans coming to see your stuff at times turns me off from seeing someone work. A good example being Ridley Scott. Great director but he seems like a cranky grampa mad at kids being on his grass if you ask him anything.

Cody you really should do a reaction to the Maxxxine trailer. Has potential to be the best film in that trilogy
At this point he's probably already seen it

Dan Stevens has been in so many movies this year. The man is on fire!

Awesome that you visited my hometown 😀
In A Violent Nature q+a is so on par hahaha 😅
Yep. It looked sort of silly just from the trailer. Reminded me of the old Friday 13th video game. I'm going to pass.
It was such a weird tone wasn’t it? Lol
room for scream 😍😘

Yooo when are you uploading the First Omen review? I'm curious to hear your thoughts

Joker 2 trailer too!!

I’d LOVE to see your rankings of the following:
*Top 15 kills in horrible movies
*Top 24 kills of all time (since it’s a ranking made in 2024)
I saw Oddity at SXSW, pretty decent Irish horror flick. I highly recommend checking it out at next opportunity 🤙🏻

Hell Yeah! Infested is awesome. Watched it here in Norway. My best friend is Terrified as fuck so he hated it but at the same time loved it
Arcadian came to our local multiplex. Saw it. I couldn't stand the overuse of shakey cam and quick cuts editing.
Yeah that prytania is fun just being such an older theater. But yeah, that doesn't mean it's a comfortable experience.

Yeah it comes off as a lazy cop out at best and pretentious trolling at worst. Either way it’s not a great look on the filmmaker’s end.
