I don’t think anyone told him that most of not all markets are over saturated
If I go out at 10:00 a.m. on a Saturday I will be lucky to get five rides in the next few hours that are actually worth it. Uber has been dumping really low pay rate rides during the day on weekends and if you live in Richmond Virginia driving in the city at night is absolutely not preferable especially when the market here is oversaturated just like it is everywhere else. You really have to risk your safety and your vehicles condition in this city with potholes everywhere and not great lighting around the city and surrounding area. I wish this guy would speak in more broad terms or continually remind us these are his opinions that work in his city only. He puts these videos out like this stuff applies to everyone in all cities, got to be out of touch if you think your situation applies everywhere.
Do nights
Weekends are oversaturated in my market. I only go out for a couple of hours on weekends.
I think we can all agree that in most markets rideshare is oversaturated, pay is at an all time low and most likely going to just keep getting worse. Putting in more hours to make up for declining pay is NOT a long term solution. Eventually you're going to hit a hard limit of "there just ain't no more hours" and in the meantime, that solution just sucks.
It's what we've been saying for several years now. If you're financially dependent on gig-work, have (and be making progress on) your "Plan-B." If you do rideshare fulltime and you like doing rideshare (if only the pay were better) and want to keep doing it, a great "Plan-B" is get your private driver credentials (licenses/permits/etc, whatever is required in your market) and work hard to build your private client list. Pay is way better, less miles, less stress, and you're in total control.
The point is, you have to truly know & understand your expenses and what you are truly earning after expenses & tax considerations.
I've become a weekend warrior starting about two months ago. It's so much better for sure. I do one or two weekend days and it's by far so much better than weekdays combined.
During the week I only take ( one or two a day) long distance ride requests. So far I was able to call them after accepting it and then cut a "deal" and drive privately. Takes about 45 mins to 3 hours a day and earnings are around $75-$150 per day for two trips max. I do have local private
daily clients as well.
This schedule seems to be workable for me and my family. Please take time for yourself and your family too. Hang in there drivers!
Weekends are the worst day's to drive.
I've been driving for Uber & Lyft for nearly 9 yrs now.. I tried all shifts you can imagine.. My choice became nights Wed-Sun.. The bonuses and surges were great until the Phoenix market became over-saturated.. Weekends & nights aren't worth driving anymore! They don't pay us enough to deal with everything we have to put up with, especially with these entitled & unappreciated riders that rarely tip!
Tipping is not Mandatory or an Obligation 🙄
I drive in Orlando Florida. No more night weekends warriors just not worth our time including Saturday midnight No surge no incentive. Yeah Uber send pins 3 a.m in the morning $4 pick up stranger

The weekend warriors have ruined my weekend money. Way too many drivers.
They especially ruin holiday driving since everyone decides to be a driver during spring/summer breaks
Is this a reload? Why is he showing his stats from July? Thats almost a year old IF it was 2023… This guy doesn’t drive anymore. He’s not in touch with reality. Do like Sergio challenged you not long ago for a full week of driving.
Same, After 7 years as a full time night driver i'm now only driving Fri. and Sat. nights. Usually 8pm to 2am. It's just not worth it to drive during the week at night anymore. I've put more time and focus on my Ebay business.
Weekend warriors Miami here around 22 to 25 hours a weekend easily over 600

That's me weekend warrior! Mostly stay in pinellas County Florida (St. Pete) Xl fares are generally $1.50-3.50 per mile on short fares no bonuses though. Never accept long fares uber snds me xl fares at $.80 a mile below xl base rate ridiculous DECLINE DECLINE DECLINE DECLINE. In tampa roads are horrible and fare rate is definitely low low. Makes no sense.
It’s great in phoenix make the most money on the weekends . Average around 30 an hour most weekends . It’s all about strategy and when you go out . Love it . Been doing it for 7 years . Self driving cars are not that big of a worry . My other company is laying off tons of people and cutting hours and pay . I will drive for 5 more years and then retire out of the USA living easily .

There aren't any surges paying super cheap so nope I learn that Sunday to work in chicago is the worst hell no!! Not going to be a slave driver for pennies and nickles.
I have been a weekend warrior for Lyft and Uber since 2019 and have a full-time job. It gives you a chance to earn some additional money, which is helpful in these times of uncertainty.

There is no money to be made in the NYC suburbs - no promos worth even worth selecting. Oversaturated market and Uber's greed not worth my time.
