Yeah, it's very good that Hearthstone lacks any interaction on your opponents turn what so ever. How dare MTG and YGO giving their players ways to counter opponents plays.
Nah it ruined the game, protects were fine but interruptions turned the game into 1 turn games where either you negated all your opponents cards turn 1 or they produced a board that negated all cards you played, not healthy at all. To prove how crap gameplay became I ran a zombie lock deck that locked my opponent out of playing monsters needless to say I saw many people scoop before it became their turn.
@@greedy4063 Objection being in standard absolutely felt like playing against a Mono Blue deck at times tho... i once played SIX Objections and three counterspells in a deck specifically built around discovering spells and secrets... it was disgusting, people conceded to me before they were even close to losing >:)
Mark is the John Wick of hearthstone OTK's. You can give that man a piece of chewing gum and 2 uno cards and he'll figure out a way to kill you in one turn.
I was there live for the paladin fail, and us chatters saw that shit coming from miles away and he still fucked up so confidently. Best moment of this challenge haha.
Listen, I need a compilation of what we saw in that stream of rarren losing his mind for every class. Especially with the line "RUclipss only gonna see the win"
Mark honestly is one my favorite hearthstone creators, he always does what i thought i could do never is really mad besides when the opponent goes to rope every turn but who wouldn’t be.
Rarran, have you not been watching Mark in your free time? He's played everything so much that he played a deck today of even Priest with triple Quests in the ETC pool. Lol
Ah, remember the good Ole days when Mecha'thun was so popular that Toast was able to use it as the win condition without putting it in his deck? Great times.
rarran, when you upload it makes my day. I watch your videos every night to fall asleep, the fact you are so entertaining and upbeat adds so much to the nostalgia and excitement I have towards HS. I started playing the game in 2015 when I was just 15 years old, I remember going to cologne gamescon that year with my dad and not being allowed to preview any of the games other than HS because of the age restrictions. We just queue'd up over and over again to play against each other. It means a lot to me to have the opportunity to feel that same way whenever you upload your silly little vids. :)
lmao the first think i thought when i saw the intro of the video was MarkMckz already did this, but at least you did some different strats :D as always great video rarran
Shattershambler is kinda iffy because Secret Passage helps massively cut down on tediousness for emptying hand post Myra's, but you can rarely do that if mecha'thun dies immediately when played. Serrated Tooth, Wild Pyromancer, or broomstick helps with that problem, though it thankfully worked out anyways
10:00 To be honest, I also concede when some priest does BS like this against me. Yeah I know, you were playing a cool deck, but fk it, I'll just go play another game where I actually get to play my cards and my opponent plays an interactive deck.
15:52 Renathal: Ah, is that inevitable doom? Rarran: It's fine. 18:19 "Recently" ITS BEEN 3 YEARS 31:10 Never won with Frostwhisper on main acc? Seems strange with all challenges you've done
Fun video, but I kinda wish he had played the old Mechathun priest from when the card first came out, with Hemet Jungle Hunter and the ticking abominations that blew themselves up. One of the weirdest, coolest combos from back in the day.
My second time ever hitting legend was with control warrior. Most people ran Archivist Elysiana to win the control matchup but I ran Mechathun instead. In the control matchup you always had a ton of armor so I added in one Galvanizer and saved a shield slam for the otk.
It's funny that Rarran didn't believe in priest, considering there was a really good tier 1 or 2 deck during Boomsday where MechCthun was the win condition. That's the last expansion I played this god forsaken game, but this video makes me want to go back and play that deck.
My mind always goes back to that deck sometimes. Like what mad lad thought, hmm yes 2 reckless experimenter 2 ticking abomination mechathun wins the game
Heaps of freebies for returning players. Mechathun is only playable in wild and some decks in that mode are super aggressive. Certainly fun to pull it off when it works. I love playing the game, most fun though is playing against friends. They can borrow your deck or you can borrow theirs.
@@TheWarick Yeah maybe a year and a half ago I tried again, right before Nathria came out. I got a free druid deck which was cool but I wasn't impressed with too much so I uninstalled the same day. I've been playing LoR recently, but since that game is winding down updates I've been considering trying Hearthstone again. It's just a tough pill to swallow going from a game where you can get 100% of the collection as a FTP player in maybe 6 months of casual play versus Hearthstone where if you want a full collection or even just several competitive decks, you need to shell out.
My priest mechathun deck used plagues, pyshic screams, and all that stuff to constantly wipe the board with some early cards to keep myself alive so I could hemet my entire deck. Then there was this deathrattle combo you could do once you had it, which were all above hemet's deck destruction that cost 10 mana exactly that summoned then killed mecha'thun. So you just had to survive to turn 5 and you basically won if the opponent didn't have lethal in hand.
Priest, warlock, and warrior were the ones i found the easiest back in the day. Warlock was good enough back then but it got its bloom nerfed. Priest drew crazy but needed a reckless exp, coffin crasher, double ticking abom and mechathun himself in that order. Warrior used boomship, malygos and double whirlwind (somehow).
I think something worth mentioning as a once Control Warrior main, is Fibonacci had a deck that was destroying ladder where he just ran this as a 10/10 with rush (rush being from the Dr. Boom hero since it's a mech). It was a legitimately good inclusion in the meta at the time, and he even managed to win some otherwise lost games by triggering it successfully with shield slam or execute as his last card. I truly adore this card, my claim to fame is i had a pretty long stint (entirety of darkmoon faire and barrens) where Mechathun Warlock wasn't meta where I was probably the post prolific and high ranked Mechathun player in wild. I was getting a few hundred games a month on Mechathun Warlock when it was c tier
I liked the old version, where most of your cards were 3 or lower and you destroy your whole deck, then deathwing mechatoon :D Or use priest to revive it and then deathwing it
Hi rarran! I have seen this card game called "beneath oresa" wich looks pretty interesting and i am sure it will make for good content because the game has nice animations and its pretty fun to watch. Its kinda like slay the spire but with a Knight that has a big ass sword that swings and hits every time you attack lmao
I loved mecha'thun warlock The old version was played with zuljin and cataclysm. Shame they had to nerf cataclysm because of discard warlock.. good times
Shaman Mechathun is actually not bad. The decklist you have is pretty outdated, instead of all 1 cost spells, you run a deck similar to Wild frog shaman. You use the card Spirit of the Frog to draw through your entire deck while keeping your opponent at bay, to then do the combo. Even at Wild standards, I’d say it’s tier 3, maybe even tier 2 (low key coping)
in wild i met a guy with meca tune but i forgot what he had exactly he had like bees that attacks a minion you droped, he droped something and he had like 2k armor on him and he fatigue me as his second win condition he try the meca thun but i put cards in his deck, with that deck i'm pretty sure the win rate it's 100%
"i hate that my opponent can play cards" i see rarran is becoming more and more of a Yu-Gi-Oh player
at least hand traps aren’t in Hearthstone yet
or blue/white mtg player

That Druid run was disgusting lol. Not only first try but also 3 turns to complete.
Absolutely disgusting for sure. I would have been so tilted facing that.
"is Mark insane?" Yes. Yes he is.
And we love him!
Mark is the John Wick of hearthstone OTK's. You can give that man a piece of chewing gum and 2 uno cards and he'll figure out a way to kill you in one turn.

Mechathun my beloved happy to see you again my dear old friend.
I discovered Mark like 2 weeks ago because I kept getting him recommended cuz of watching you and ngl watched so many of his videos.
rarran, when you upload it makes my day. I watch your videos every night to fall asleep, the fact you are so entertaining and upbeat adds so much to the nostalgia and excitement I have towards HS. Random dude: "Let's play a wild!"
Rarran with his fuqqing druid deck: "ehehehe"
Watching him mess up the combos a bunch was also super fun we should get the outtake vid
the consolidated marktent in this one, would love to see you and mark make a video together at some point, mark is super entertaining
lmao the first think i thought when i saw the intro of the video was MarkMckz already did this, but at least you did some different strats :D as always great video rarran
Wait, Rarran doesn't know about Mark?! He is like the most famous combo master in hearthstone
Every one in a while Old Rarry throw a Yugi-reference in commentary and i'm here for it
Shattershambler is kinda iffy because Secret Passage helps massively cut down on tediousness for emptying hand post Myra's, but you can rarely do that if mecha'thun dies immediately when played. "is mark insane?" yes, rarran. yes.
Hey Rarran, found you through Frostprime, played Hearthstone years ago but gotta say you actually make it fun to watch again :)
"When your opponent plays cards, it's just not fun anymore." - Rarran, 2024
Spoken like a true combo player. XD
My mom recently asked me why I was dressed as a Canadian card game variety streamer in a Chinese takeout container. I told her I was Rarran To-Go.
glad mark is getting some recognition, hes the fucking combo wizard
Mark is literally the mvp for this...
Yes, Mark is very much insane. Just today, he made a video on Even Triple Quest Priest. It is as insane as it sounds and he managed to win a game.
10:00 To be honest, I also concede when some priest does BS like this against me.
Yeah I know, you were playing a cool deck, but fk it, I'll just go play another game where I actually get to play my cards and my opponent plays an interactive deck.
God, that Mechathun Priest deck is such a me deck I want to install Hearthstone just for it
15:52
Renathal: Ah, is that inevitable doom?
Rarran: It's fine.
18:19
"Recently" ITS BEEN 3 YEARS
31:10
Never won with Frostwhisper on main acc? Seems strange with all challenges you've done
can't help but see the raging demon in the mechathun win animation
Fun video, but I kinda wish he had played the old Mechathun priest from when the card first came out, with Hemet Jungle Hunter and the ticking abominations that blew themselves up. One of the weirdest, coolest combos from back in the day.
ngl i would love for you to do a collab with mark playing dumb combos
My second time ever hitting legend was with control warrior. Most people ran Archivist Elysiana to win the control matchup but I ran Mechathun instead. In the control matchup you always had a ton of armor so I added in one Galvanizer and saved a shield slam for the otk.

what was that noise 6:11 Rarren 🤣
I saw myself in the chat and remembered how I was losing my calm watching you playing.
Keep up the good work !❤
I love this challenge, cordon bleu cooking here, it's also obscure enough that nobody knows whats going on
3:25 is why i love druid HAHHAHAH
30:08 plays oracle to draw cards for the enemy and get lower in case the enemy might not go for the lethal
My priest mechathun deck used plagues, pyshic screams, and all that stuff to constantly wipe the board with some early cards to keep myself alive so I could hemet my entire deck. Great video as always. I can propose I'd like you to see the Hakkar challenge. The card has great flavour that was not explored very much.
I recall using Hemet to quickly trigger mechathuns effect. Did something change?
why didn't he use luna's pocket galaxy in his mage run?
15:00 so you aren't going to worry about it but your next class is the worrier? huh
similar to the magic card 'the cheese stands alone' and 'barren glory'
the editor going "audiojungle" made me laugh so hard
You are the best hs streamer so far. Love ur content.
Priest, warlock, and warrior were the ones i found the easiest back in the day.
Warlock was good enough back then but it got its bloom nerfed.
Priest drew crazy but needed a reckless exp, coffin crasher, double ticking abom and mechathun himself in that order.

Ima go ahead and upvote because of Simcity 3000 soundtrack nostalgia, and I was just listening to it this morning
Nicely done Rarran!
*points gun*
Now win with all classes using Uther of the Ebon Blade.
The audio jungle bit was fucking genius..
Was that, turn 3 mechathun lethal? In the 2nd game?
get mark to do you know hearthstone, he otked with every card in game
did you bleep out your swear with *AUDIO JUNGLE*???
that is a new one XD
How did the Volcanomancy trigger that many times for the mage run? Shouldn't it have only done 3 dmg once when he pinged his own rager?
Cactus Rager + Volcanomancy + hero power is a cute combo. Lol
Day 93 of working in the Cringe factory
We got
1 cooking
1 very suspicious moan at 6:10
That is all
Damn Kripp your APM has gotten a lot better! Nice to see the Battlegrounds paying off
Omg Rarran found the broken Mechathun glitch. Lol
27:28 Sheesh Illidan.
Fast Druid Thun was my fav deck ever

Thank you for sacrificing your sanity for our sake.
Wait. What about shaman? Is there no Meca'thun deck for shaman?
Ah yes, mecha'thun, the m'arrillian heat cannon of hearthstone
Why would you do the priest again?!? 😂
Watching druid play in wild is like watching yu-gi-oh gameplay
Was it not better to use LPG for mage?
I liked the old version, where most of your cards were 3 or lower and you destroy your whole deck, then deathwing mechatoon :D Or use priest to revive it and then deathwing it
The ultimate challenge is giving mechathun to your opponent with treachery and making sure they win with it
Hey Rarran! Give this jank deck a try! !
Hunter:
Colifero > Ragnaros
Using Sneaky Snakes / Toxic Reinforcements / Demon Companion / Barrels of Monkeys / Cat Trick / Wandering Monster
It's not easy nor is it good but if you like content and hate yourself then this is the deck for you! hahaha
I though you'd go for Pyromancer + Hunter's mark for hunter
that druid deck was the closest experience to yugioh gameplay that I've seen in a while
0:49 why’d he concede?
Lunas portal. Duh 20:34 change cost of all minions in your deck to 1
If animation lock wasnt a thing it would be much easier to pull this off, especially with priest.
The hunter opponent nickname is Taran
Coincidence?
As someone who grinded for 90% of all the heroes to 30. I'd love to see Merceneries come back if they gave everyone lvl 30s.
Priest literally has a mechathun deck ages ago with nemet
RARRAN I LOVE THE SHREK SHIRT
Haven't played hearthstone in quite a few years now. Is the current game worth returning to?
You should get into it after rotation. Returning players can loan a deck and get it for free after a week along with legendaries inside of that deck
Wtf does mint condition mean in relation to a digital card that cannot age or show any ware and tear?
When your opponent plays cards its not fun anymore? This is a card game what else they gonna do
10:08 lmao
Didn't priest have a competitve mecha thun deck at the time
Why did he go back to 1 mana after being at 9/10 on that druid game??
Hi rarran! I will not stand for this warlock and rogue mecha thun slander, turn 4 cataclysm was crazy
I loved mecha'thun warlock
The old version was played with zuljin and cataclysm. Shame they had to nerf cataclysm because of discard warlock.. good times
cactus rager volcanomancy is actually so 5head
l stole a Priest's Mecha Thun with Theothar, gotta say, it's satisfying steal from a class that steals everything from you

U should learn the utopia deck in yu gi oh its a xyz beat down simple but flashy and pretty consistent winner
Another way for mage could have been Lunas pocket galaxy.
i miss my priest mechathun otk was fun
in wild i met a guy with meca tune but i forgot what he had exactly he had like bees that attacks a minion you droped, he droped something and he had like 2k armor on him and he fatigue me as his second win condition he try the meca thun but i put cards in his deck, with that deck i'm pretty sure the win rate it's 100%
Really great video
As a mechathun rogue player in wild seeing your list hurts 🤓😢
Wasn’t chemicjal spill already in the game for Warrior? It’s 5 mana to summon your highest cost unit
Oh hi Mark... Mark putting Rarran to shame
The opponents probably have zero idea what kills them because some are more than likely new players
