Man Calls 911 After Seeing Sexual Assault on Livestream

- From the comfort of your living room, you can watch livestreams of famous locations around the world. Now, the webcam has even caught a sexual attack as it took place in Key West, Florida. A Massachusetts man watching the webcam saw it unfold live from 1,600 miles away. He immediately called 911. Cops arrested the assailant, Kerry Gasag. He pled guilty to sexual battery, false imprisonment and evidence tampering. He was sentenced to ten years in prison.
He’s not a “suspect” if he’s pled guilty to this horrible crime. He’s a criminal and 10 years is a joke sentence.

Since I’ve started watching the news, “I’ve went from he’s going get life in prison, no way he will ever get out.” To.. “he’ll be out in a month, or he’ll get bond the next day”. The more and more I see, people constantly get away with horrible crimes.

It's a good thing that he was caught because he belongs in prison for a long time. A criminal and a brute, you ladies need to stop interacting with dangerous men. That being said, I wonder if something triggered him to commit that atrocious act. A lot of women will get drunk and mouth off to everybody. This happened late at night, so I wonder if the woman in the video was acting like she was a goddess, and nobody could approach her. Alcohol makes some of these ladies delusional.

What this story doesn't share is that she was only in his car because he was "saving" her from being sexually assaulted by another man. How could he do that to her after she was already traumatized. 10 years is nowhere near enough!

This happened to me years ago while walking home from school. I screamed and asked a man walking nearby to help me but he didn't. I was then dragged behind a dumpster. He ripped my coat off and all I could think about was "I'm gonna die and he's gonna throw me in the dumpster." Then a lady came up and beat the man with her laptop. He took off. I was forever grateful to that brave lady. I bought her a new laptop. Lol. We still keep in touch. But I feel for this poor girl. The fear and the pain...hopefully she's recovering ok.

What this story didn't highlight is the victim was getting assaulted BEFORE this happened. This guy "saved" her from the first attacker, only to sexually assault her himself. Absolutely horrifying!

What is even sad about this attack is that this assailant, Kerry Gasag saved that poor girl from an earlier sexual attack from a different man. He saved her and then he traumatised her again. She was assaulted twice in one day, the second assault by the man who saved her from the first assault. Jorge Calderon Nunez, the first rapist is in a county jail, waiting for trial and the second rapist, Kerry Gasag got 10 years in jail with 5 years probation for pleading guilt.
My heart goes out for this woman and what she went through. This happened 2+ years ago and hopefully she is getting all the help and supports she needs.
Crazy how so much happens or has already happened to people and you wouldn’t even know it, this is why it’s best to NEVER assume anything and treat people as you would treat yourself.

@@leyway I agree. They had all the evidence to take him to trial, had that happen he would have been sentenced to 25 years. But he got a plea deal, plead guilt =10 years. I don't know why they offered him one, it serves money for the prosecution not to take him to trial and sometimes they talk to the victim first so has to save her from testifying to the ordeal. I do hope they did talk to her first before giving him the plea deal.

I'm going to tell you from experience she's going through hell right now and as most of us do we feel like there was something more we could've done to protect ourselves. She's lucky she got some justice but if she's like a lot of us other women who've been through the same thing. She was SA'd twice in that night. This uber driver supposedly "saved" her and then decided to gRape her. This channel left that part out. She was assualted by two different men in one night. She's never going to be completely healing from this and she's never going to be trusting any man. I wouldn't be able to live with it but all my hopes and prayers to this woman. Reality is that she will probably never heal and will have a traumatizing end or lead a very depressive life. That is the case with most women who get raped. Now I am not saying that this will happen to her but there is A very high chance. Its never easy or. Sometimes impossible to heal.

10 years is not justice for the life sentence she has to live with. The physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pain will never fully go away. Would if she got an STD, or got pregnant??? Believe it or not, the death penalty has consistently been shown not to work as a deterrent against crime. A high probability of getting punished has much more of an effect than a high severity of punishment.
10 years for rape? I wish there were punishments like this in Finland. Here, you won't necessarily even go to prison for rape, and if you do, a maximum of 2 years and the first time, you will serve half
