I want to thank you for this video. I had to replace my old carpet with a salvage yard piece. Because of your video the results were terrific!

Great job Tolly, you’re right about disinfecting it. Don’t want to be breathing mould in months to come .👍

Thanks Tolly! I hope I never have to do this to my V70. I would rate it: difficulty 1/5. PITA factor 5/5. (Good tip about waiting 10mins after disconnecting the battery.)

Another excellent job done. You make it look reality easy to remove all the interior & carpets. Keep up the good work.
P.s. Have you got any bits from your donor car that you would like to sell ?

nice clean interior you have there , bet it stinks more of dog than coolant, hope you hoover it more now with the new carpet, apart from that good video

I’d rather have a car that stinks of dog than leave a dog at home 10 hours a day like many people do, self-employed and she comes everywhere with me. The interior on this car is very rare and I like it but unfortunately it absolutely stank like 1,000 cigars when I bought it and I’ve never been able to get it particularly pleasant since.

I would have really appreciated seeing the way you got the seat belt out from the driver's seat.

Just the bolt? it's possible the controls on the side of my seat were damaged making it easier for me...

Pull hard from the top they’re pretty easy to remove.

I am currently trying to dismantle rear right side’s seat, as the previous owner had cut the seatbelt in frustration. Any idea how to dismantle the seats to replace the seatbelt mechanism?

I had a problem with mine and couldn’t see a way at the time, I bought a new interior. I’d be interested to hear if it is possible.

How did you remove those side pads by rear seats?!?

They just pull off, pull hard from the top and the bottom is just slotted down.

How does the coolant get on there and how do you prevent it from happening?

The heater core sits under the dash in front of the center column under the carpet. They are prone to failing and when this happens you get a flood of coolant. As Robert diy says, don’t play coolant roulette: replace the heater core proactively about every 6 years.
