Locally assembled well-equipped, here's a review to one of the most anticipated subcompact sedans in the Philippines today.

i love plain, simple cars. they're less overwhelming to use and you're free from a lot of distractions from those extra techy features in the dashboard
Same
Coming from the US on vacation,l borrowed my sisters VIOS and l fell in love with,it’s the right car for the right reason, small, easy to handle, saves on gas too! It’s reliable and won’t leave you hanging!
is it automatic?
I think there will be a 2021 Honda City RS vs 2021 Toyota Vios G - Comparo video. Right Autodeal? Looking forward to that! That would be another great content!
Malaysian's Vios G and Thailand's Yaris Ativ Sports Premium are the most completed specs Vios in the ASEAN market rn... They got Head Unit with Android Auto and Appe Carplay, Optitron instrument cluster, 360 degrees camera, Toyota Safety Sense (Pre-Collision Warning, Lane Departure Alert), BSM + RCTA, Leatherette seats, rear charging port, front parking sensor.. For Malaysia, they got extra front dashcam on-board..
I wonder why? Is it because Malaysians have more money to spend than they think Filipinos have?
Proud vios owner here ! 😊
I own a 2010 Toyota vios 1.5G MT. Last dec. 2017 it registered 21.1kms/liter in one of my travel. I have it recorded in my blackberry. I still use it. Mileage to date is still 105k.
If you want tech and performance tpos hindi nmn masyado gagamitin go for other brands,
But if you want a car that will last and sure na di ka padin mapapagasto after 10 years. Eto ang para sayo. Maniwala ka kasi subok ko na.
From gen 2, gen 3 and now gen 4. All almost 300,000km each dahil sa type ng trabaho ko.
Yung underpower? Yes at low speed gapang tlaga ampanget ng tuning nya halos walang torque. Pro masasanay ka.
So pili ka
A good car or durable car.
Sulit. Proven talaga.
Napajasmoth i drive nya.. Hehe.
best comment so far
Na try mo ibang brands? Baka same lang din but a more comfortable ride 😉
on point tong comment na to hehe. yung 2014 Vios 1.3J MT ko nasa 198k kilometers na sa odometer, parang kalabaw e. only minimal maintenance and repairs, not the most comfortable but as long as it drives without any problems, what could go wrong?
It may not look much on paper, but I like the higher ground clearance compared to sedans in its category.
Well done Toyota.
IMHO, there's so many lacking here to the point of questioning how this passed as a G variant.
Sounds like an E variant to me.
@@anonymousgazelle Yes. It will pass as an E variant but not G.
Definitely not worth 1M.
IMO If they at least added Air Vents and center arm rest at the back It would be a solid competitor to RS or even destroy it.
@@walbertsamuelgo76 Not even close even if they add that. Look at the headunit, it is the same with the XE variant.
Compare the engine of the city and vios.
Make vios G for around 800K, then there is a competition.
@@ArcherArios22 Well.. I can't say that you're wrong because I totally agree with you. It's just that I based my opinion on Toyota's reliability specially Vios. But if you wanna go technical and not care about future repair/replacements of course I'd pick RS all day.
Drifting Mechanism got me 🤣
Hahaha😂😂
My 2018 Mazda 3 1.5 sedan at the same price point against the 2021 Vios G is much much better in all aspect.. hays......
But not in parts. You cant get mazda parts anywhere. Unlike toyota you can get in even in most isolated parts of the country. Just my 50 cent
I hope you create a video about the technology or features in our modern cars now or explained it in detailed like example hill start assist I dont really understand it very well thank youuuu as always I like your vids best reviewer by a mile!
Ye this vios might not it for everyone but for me, i want this car to be my 1st car, idc if it lacks something but for me it will be great
@Jebus foxe what do u suggest for a first-time driver? ok ba hyundai tucson diesel AT
What more pa yung new 2021 City
I couldn't agree more... considering its price - 2021 city speaks for itself...
@@arthurgallos8961 Yep. Reliability is same lang naman.
Honda should offer a manual to the mid spec variant of City, that would be nice.... especially for female drivers like my tiyahin and ate.
Oh how we all wish they'd make a top spec manual. Just for Respect points haha
@@omarlucman5768 rs manual is my dream car if ever haha
As of writing this, I'm currently how to drive this car in a driving school. This XP150 is a good first car and a good learner car that's both forgiving and understanding. The pickup can be a bit slow because of below-average torque but still, it's perfect for essential commuting and weekend outings for the young and lower class.
Honda City RS is 10k cheaper but has more tech such as Apple CarPlay and air vents on the second row. I find it more stylish too than the 2021 Vios. Comparo between the two naman dyan pls hehe
For others vios is generic; for me, who is strapped for cash, this is the dream car.
This will run the longest mileage than any of cars you can think of. Because Toyotas.
toyota and isuzu
Selling point? It's a Toyota. Yes other cars have better this and that. But for the long haul, nothing beats Toyota at least here in Ph. Cheaper parts which are almost always available, can be repaired just about anywhere and not to mention, the resale value is always good. I don't own one but if I'll ever buy a new sedan, this will always be in my list.
I would choose Vios XLE CVT it is very good.
@@corolla9545 thank you po!
Still City > Vios... Tech, Performance, Comfort, Value For Money
I own the 4th gen aka "Joker". Only changes are the front grill, drl light (now integrated with the headlight and the size of the fog lamps. Everything else is literally the same lol.
Suggestion Autodeal, can you also review Manual options? I mean, lets save the Manual Transmission. More Power guys.
UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Up!
Up
Hello, it is to warn you that the liters of trunk capacity "326" are wrong, when the real thing is 506 liters!
Thank you and your orders !!!
The car is priced at over PhP 1 million but why does the interior look like straight from a PhP 600k car?
Taxes
Awesome video. It’s just that in this price point people would probably lean towards the new city.
Yes, and the new city is also reliable
They put all their budget in front and forgot the back lmao
Hahaha couldnt agree more
How depressing indeed
It’s just sad
true lol
shut up that's my fav how dare uuu
The Vios in red color really looks good! Both the Vios and the City are great cars :)
The last behind the wheel for 2020 happy new year everyone
This is what Toyota brings, higher price but less to offer. Filipinos still patronize Toyota due to the mindset of realibility and easy to maintain.
its not a mindset, proofs are everywhere (longest mileage before breaking down, low cost on service and parts, resale value is still good you don't feel "luge" ika nga ni caco) you just have to open your eyes and accept the facts LOL
And the fact that almost if not all Taxi companies use it says a lot there's your ultimate proof about reliability and durability.
A lot of "pa conyo / pa sosyal" na pinoys choose different brands without using there brains but the TRUE billionaires, companies and rich people uses Land Cruisers and Lexus which is a TOYOTA. LMFAO!
The drifting mechanism , i love that new term
"Right next to the drifting mechanism" Lol!
My family owns a Vios.
The Vios is just like the Ginebra team in the PBA: there are many limitations, but many Filipinos still support it (based on Vios sales for many years now) :)
Question: I watched several reviews comparing the Vios with Honda City (AutoDeal's Comparo, Top Gear Ph, among others). The reviewers always favor the City, but how come significantly more Filipinos buy the Vios?
Another comparison: Caco Tirona and Vince Pornelos favors the Nissan Navara over the Toyota Hilux, but more Filipinos buy the latter over the former. Just wondering...
Because of its engine and popularity I thinkg🙂
It can be described for three reasons:
1. Reliablity
2. Durability
3. Available parts everywhere (even online)
Also the perfect choice for every rookie drivers who are still learning how to drive. 😎👍
Its very basic, it won't let you down no matter where you go. 🚗
The reason id simple bro, the vios starting price is 600+k, while the Honda city has a 900+k starting price (almost 1M in fact).
So yeah logically more people can afford the vios more easily, with monthly under 20k, while the City is asking more on every financial aspects.
It's just a story of affordability, value for the money.
Id pick the Honda City rs than this because the city has more tech and features
Imo you only buy the vios if you're a budgetarian in terms of maintenance.
Well Sales speak for itself,Features are good when brandnew, majority of Vios owners choose to keep it for many years.
@@mushimushimushi9176 correct
If you have money for a City RS, you'd probably just buy a car of a higher tier than the Vios. Completely different markets
@@TheWatcher1009 you obviously haven’t seen the price of this Vios. Might as well go Honda.
Please review the Toyota Vios 1.3 XLE CVT
Actually, the current version of Vios in the Philippines to date is the current Yaris Ativ sedan here in Thailand.
It’s sold as Yaris in India. But the production has been stopped. Honda City and Hyundai Verna are in huge demand.
It’s nice that you mentioned the kilometers per liter. Do you know how many kpl for prius? Thanks
change front grill, trim something here and there and voila, your new "2021" model
- toyota philippines
Mr Caco and the Autodeal team, request please if you can show us ball park figure estimates comparing the purchase cost and anticipated maintenance cost of Honda City Vs Vios? Mas mura nga ba talaga maintenance ng Vios? By how much baka tolerable naman vis a vis City's value for money. Cost Comparo kumbaga. ;) Salamuch!
It looks like Toyota Yaris! But I think externally look of Yaris is much better !
You got to be a real vios fan boy to pick this over the city rs.
LOVE your presentation and tone, keep up the good work.
Again, the only thing stoping me from liking Toyota is the fact that Apple Carplay is not Standard. Please Toyota, make it standard, it’s not 2005 anymore.
I almost mimic your gestures while watching you hahaha. Nice review. Thumbs up!
honest opinion. this new Vios pales in comparison with the Honda City RS when it comes to features and tech inside. But I will praise Toyota by including Disc Brakes at the rear and minimizing NVH inside the cabin, which the GM6 City lacks, and i guess remains on the GN City. Honda, baka naman. 🙏🏼🤷🏻♂️
yeah still drum brakes on rear tires on the city
honda city ftw
why City FTW?
I like all your car reviews lol i love the sense of humor keep it up sir
1st angry face, 2nd gen happy face, 3rd gen angry face, 4th gen happy face, 5ft gen angry face
Basically the body frame is the same
the price of the new 1.5 Honda City is very competitive... though there are feedbacks of bad gas mileage
Please also have a review of vios gr-s variant to see if its worth it! Thanks :D
Try to full tank it and drive it on expressway and review the handling please.
another super review! well done AD!
Sure!! Autodeal their reviews is always the best THAN Top Gear PH
Sir Caco, Volvo XC40 naman po. We would love your opinion about it too. 🥺
The price is very close to the City. But the City has more features, i think.
cruise control, 500+ ltr trunk capacity and more.
@@NLPCrow City, right? I mean just the cruise control would be a deciding point for most
@@VinnyPTAstartes I agree. just got my honda city rs :) never disappoint. im a previous owner of honda city 2019 VX+.
if only the mid spec City had a manual :((( i like both cars, in a sense that both will last to you forever with right maintenance and so on.
*Honda are you seeing this? Mobilio is one of the cars we've been considering for a while pero walang Manual variant*
2021 Facelift front bumper looks much better.. Sana may 1.5 na base model.. The 1.3 base variant is enough for me, i don't need that much modern driving assist technology and infotainments.. Mga after 4-6 years madami na much better aftermarket parts for it. Now i appreciate base models kase wala masyado nakakahaniyang baguhin at alisin na pyesa unlike sa Mid/ top off the line variants.
Autodeal ph is actually better than top gear ph
Ang concernlng dyan is minsan hnd umaabot lameg sa likod hnd masyado malameg
Man that high pitch voice with matching hand gestures.
Please also do make a review for Corolla Altis the MT variant
which is better for gas consumption, 1.3 xle or g variant? tia 😊😊😊
My MG ZS Alpha is a lot cheaper and with so much features. No issues since i bought it
Yeah, I've only ride in vios for two times but it is really quiet inside unlike Mitsubishi that even though you closed the windows and everything you can still hear the sound of the engine which is kinda annoying for me.
I’m a simple man. I see Caco and his oni tigers, I click like.
Can you guys please review the 1.6 CVT version of the new altis 🙏🙏
Can you also make a review of the 2020 Nissan Almera?
=kng pang field work m ggmtin or workhorse m everyday kht nag babaga init s labs proven and tested...from 9am to 6pm wlang patayan vios ko 2020model m/t gen4.5 joker..kain lng ang phnga..even ang wigo same usage wla ako nging problema sobrang reliable tlga sulet ang pera m
I’m a first time car owner and this is the car that i choose.
This G variant will be eaten alive by the tech and other features of Honda City RS
Just saying 😎
how bout the sales?
Grabe bago lang yung 2019 Vios tapos facelift agad by 2021 haha
Hoping for the review of the vios XLE
It actually resemble the last-gen Corolla, particularly the US market Corolla.
thoughts on the toyota yaris? will it hit the PH?
Sir please review Hyundai accent 2021. You're the reason why i'm into car.
CancelKorea
I'd pick this Vios any day over the entry level Ford ranger manual, Nissan Altima, Honda City, Geely Coolray, MG ZS, Kia Stonic, because of the cheap maintenance after the warranty period, even if I take this to casa every PMS, I wont spend more than I should unlike other brands
Haha delusional
Toyota fan boys
Sir, pls review the alsvin changan. thanks.
Can you review the Hyundai Accent please?? Thanks
The best in the subcompact segment is still the Honda jazz which will eventually be replaced with the city hatch
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all. God bless
Can someone explain to me in layman's term a CVT and is it good or bad?
From SUBARO WRX review to toyota vios review real quick..😅🤗😂
you should go for 1.3 m/t for city driving. for hiway. still do good. if your not to hurry or going to overtake 2 trucks. lol.
yeah, if the newer Vios had the standard (single) vvt-i, it would've been more efficient than its predecesors. i'm getting about 10km/l in the city with my 2014 Vios 1.3J MT, but that doesn't matter to me since i don't drive that often.
May I ask if why i saw some yong rear bumper ng Vios G 2022 may parang skirt siya na black
I would go for the 1.3 XE CVT with 7 airbags.
This Vios is proudly made by the Filipinos for the Filipinos.
Those onitsukas are the true winner here
I got a Vios. Get the new City.
Thanks
Me too. If only the new City (base CVT) is cheaper.
Y po? What made u suggest so?
@@roamaroundgisg7362
Fuel consumption of 8.0km/L for a 1.3 engine? Nope.
@@iRodolfoSM yup. Meron din kameng vios 2021, parang di sya fuel efficient for 1.3 engine.
Happy Holidays everyone!
About time for this
Sir pwede malaman top speed vios g.tnxs
Toyota = reliability!!! Love it.
Every vios owner who recommends me vios: "i can sell it in 2 years. The parts are cheaper. Maintenance is cheap"
Meanwhile, sees a Picanto overtaking it sloping uphill.
I want to buy, I like it. How much does it cost. From Tanzania
The "Drifting Mechanism" is just......🥴🤤
Isn't it the Yaaris ? Or I read Vios by mistake ? Somebody please correct me
Why is it like the 1.5 ativ cvt x cut yaris atleast the front lift is not like yaris but the lights and back facelift is like the yaris 1.5
Just got one, and I did realize it's all over the Philippines.
