Glad to see you back again m8 🤜 171 🤛 Good news, you gonna started in what you like, nice bfs set too 👍got the Spirit rod with Aldebaran bfs xg great set too.
Nice fish. I love hitting the perch with soft plastics. Winter can be slow, and like you, I go to a smaller profile shad, or wriggle tail grub, and fish it very slow and low. Great demonstration of some proven perch techniques mate. Just for the record, I am in Australia, so they act the same where ever they end up :)
Nice fishing. It's neat to see how you guys do things across the pond over there. I am a BFS fanatic here in the North eastern US. I would love to see the BFS kit when it comes out. I have 2 Tsurinoya xf-50s with the lighter spirit fox spools in them, as well as a Scorpion BFS xg, Abu Garcia ALC BF7, fishband gh100, and some other ones.
Gonna say it . Before i even finish the vid . Your the UK BFS pioneer mate . Leading the way for the UK BFS masses . Go down to 3lb fluorocarbon . Maybe even 2lb fluorocarbon . If anyone can do it , its perch Jesus !!! Ive caught 3lb perch on 1.3lb hooklengths while feeder fishing . How low can it be done ??? PERCH JESUS !!! JESUS !!! JESUS !!! I ll get back to the rest of the vid now . Lol .
@@JamesForrester 1.5 kg (3.3lb) braid with a 6lb leader (in case of a Yellowbelly, an Australian native) is my go to perch rig. Good fun when you get a carp of something a little bigger. :)
@@JamesForrester Look forward to it mate . I just ordered 3lb and 2lb fluorocarbon myself . Ordered the elf and let them know it was all down to your vids !!! Looking at a BFS reel now . Was hoping there was a new JDM 2020 BFS reel released . Doesnt look like it though . Now if only i knew where the perch round my way lived . Lol .
Ah . Thats the one . What net handle would you recommend mate . Was looking the gunki street or the daiwa one . Gonna buy the rod tonight . Will leave a message to them saying it was on your recommendation . Brilliant vid as always . Great work mate .
Nice video, just a quick question do you use any thinner or thicker fluorocarbon trace while fishing with this main 4lb fluoro? I always fishing braid and decided to give a go for fluorocarbon as a main line, so what you doing in places where pike activity is really high ? :D
@@JamesForrester today had first fishing with fluorocarbon as a main line and it was damn crazy day:D caught 16lb, 11lb,13lb pike and pb perch at 3lb15oz and allso plenty of smaller jacks and smaller perch close to 2lb :D so fluorocarbon as a main line really worth it :D. Thanks bro for your answer, and keep doing nice movies with my favorite fish perch :D
I have the steez type a the bigger one. But they do the spool for both the type a and ct. The ct spool is actually 0.5g lighter so will preform even better than this one!
Usually like your vids,,repetitive music background ,,bummer,,more on bfs rods please,,now looking in earnest as my brand new abu Garcia snapped 1st time out,,,venerate next generation5/20gr-ml,,,,not impressed ,,,!!!!!
so pleased to see you making videos again James 👍🏼

Good luck on your ventures for 2020 mukka
Would any of the Daiwa steez suit bfs eg Daiwa Steez CT SV TW700XHL ?
Hi mate love your vids could I ask you where you purchase and what type of Fluorocarbon you use cheers
Super stuff mate
Nice freakin video dude ! Nice perches ! :D
Where did you buy the rod mate, did you get it imported? Nice vids BTW. 👍
Nice video, thinking of purchasing a BFS style setup, what stretch of the thames are you fishing? I'm fairly close to Reading...
Ah . Thats the one . What net handle would you recommend mate . Was looking the gunki street or the daiwa one . Gonna buy the rod tonight . Will leave a message to them saying it was on your recommendation . Brilliant vid as always . Great work mate .
Daiwa 5.9 metre
Yeah I'm getting another daiwa 5.9m once you use a net that length you will never go back. I can fish anywhere with it because of the length!
@@darrenrodd. Cheers mate . Your a legend !!!
Good video really enjoyed it thanks 👍
Interesting!...if you got a telescopic version with a good action I would most definitely be interested....

Nice video once again mate, I'd be very interested in the lures you'll be selling soon.
Budget BFS? Sign me up for that, I like my light/UL fishing and a bait cast set up would be sound
Hahaha. I hit the like button before watching the video
Great Fishing! Is there a reason you're not using braid?
Have you got the bfs set ups on sale yet bud?
Awesomeness as usual :-)
Awesome mate as always 🎣 what reel are you using on this film please
Looking forward to seeing the launch of your new kit
Matthew Kay it’s a daiwa steez
Yeah this is the daiwa steez type a with a Roro microcast spool from aliexpress
Matt Wooldridge many thanks
Is this the Steez ct with the Ali Spool?

The start of this video sounds identical to the start of champagne supernova by Oasis.
Fishing without a net is always sketchy especially if you hook a pike !
I for one would appreciate if you showed us where you're fishing in your videos.
